Unsteady Transient Flowfield in an Integrated Rocket Ramjet Engine (램제트 엔진의 비정상 천이 유동에 관한 연구)

  • A numerical analysis has been conducted to study the transient flowfield during the transition from the booster to sustainer phase in an integrated rocket ramjet (IRR) propulsion system. Emphasis is placed on the unsteady inlet aerodynamics, fuel/air mixing in an entire ramjet engine during the flow transient phase. The computational geometry consists of the entire IRR engine, including the inlet, the combustion chamber, and the exhaust nozzle. Turbulence closure is achieved using a low-Reynolds-number two-equation model. The governing equations are solved numerically by means of a finite-volume, preconditioned flux-differencing scheme over a wide range of Mach umber. Various important physical processes are investigated systemically, including terminal shock train.

  • Image segmentation is the task of partitioning an image into multiple sets of pixels based on some characteristics. The objective is to simplify the image into a representation that is more meaningful and easier to analyze. In this paper, we apply deep-learning to pre-train the learning model, and implement an algorithm that performs image segmentation in real time by extracting frames for the stream input from the Android device. Based on the open source of DeepLab-v3+ implemented in Tensorflow, some convolution filters are modified to improve real-time operation on the Android platform.

  • In this study, the crashworthiness of KHST is evaluated by analysing a nonlinear spring/bar-damper-mass model using 1 dimensional collision dynamics. The numerical results show that KHST can easily absorb kinetic energy at lower impact force and acceleration in heavy collisions, when compared with KTX. Also, in a light collision like a traint-to-train accident at speed under 8 kph, the carbody and components of KHST can be protected without any damage except a energy absorbing tube to be replaced easily. However, KTX may be much damaged in the light collision because there is no energy absorbing tube. In conclusion, the crashworthy performance of KHST has been much improved than that of KTX, although there remains something to be improved for a better performance.

Analysis of the Snake motion of One High Speed Freight Car (고속화차 한량의 사행동 해석)

  • The development of railway vehicle and bogie involves the proper selection of design parameters not only to achieve high speed but also to reduce the vibration of the train. In this study an analytical model of a high speed freight car is developed to find the critical speed. The high speed freight car can generate the snake motion of the lateral and yawing motion of the car body, the bogie, and the wheelset. Numerical analysis for the nonlinear equation motions with 17 degrees of freedom showed the running stability and critical speed due to the snake motion. Also, the vibration modes of tile high speed freight car was calculated using ADAMS RAIL, which showed that the critical speed have the yawing modes of the car body and the bogie. Finally, this paper shows that the snake motion of the vehicle can be controlled with the modifications of the design parameters.

  • This paper proposes an expert system which can determine automatically the shunting routes corresponding to the given shunting works by considering totally the train operating environments in the station. The expert system proposes the multiple shunting routes with priority of selection based on heuristic search strategy. Accordingly, system operator can select a shunting route with the safety and efficiency among the those shunting routes. The expert system consists of a main inference engine and a sub inference engine. The main inference engine determines the shunting routes with selection priority using the segment routes obtained from the sub inference engine. The heuristic rules are extracted from operating knowledges of the veteran route operator and station topology. It is implemented in C computer language for the purpose of the implementation of the inference engine using the dynamic memory allocation technique. And, the validity of the builted expert system is proved by a test case for the model station.

  • To study the trafficability on soft and cohesive benthic terrain, a soil bin is designed and constructed. The information of shear strength of pacific seafloor and the results of dimensional analysis of vehicle-train system are used as basic datum for concept design of soil bin. Cohesive benthic terrain is modeled by means of bentonite-water mixture. The shear strength of the mixture is measured by motorized shear meter. Several facilities are constructed for mixing and evening modeled soil, transporting vehicle model. The shear strength in soil bin is investigated for depth, age and velocity. The result of this study is used as basic information to the experiment, study for development of crawler on benthic terrain.

  • As the industry of 21C has been developed, the gas industry has grown and it has not only the convenience but also the riskiness for using. Therefore, we designed the outlet to prevent from collapse of booth by the explosion pressure in installing the explosion booth for test in order to train safety supervisors the riskiness of gas explosion. The outlet was designed based on the exhaust model of NFPA 68.

Steady-State Harmonic Domain Matrix-Based Modeling of Four-Quadrant EMU Line Converter

  • As a non-linear time variant system, the four-quadrant line converter of an electric multiple unit (EMU) was expressed by linear time periodic functions near an operating point and modeled by a steady-state harmonic domain matrix. The components were then combined according to the circuit connection and relations of the feedback control loops to form a complete converter model. The proposed modeling method allows the study of the amplitude of harmonic impedances to explore harmonic coupling. Moreover, the proposed method helps provide a better design for the converter controllers, as well as solves the problem in coordination operation between the EMUs and the AC supply. On-site data from an actual $CRH_2$ high-speed train were used to validate the modeling principles presented in the paper.

  • This study has been performed to consider how to support to be effectively linked hiring of skilled human resources that were discharged through actually related education programs, as demand of they are recently being increased due to the expansion of the logistics market, and effort to train them is being propelled. That is associated with the Busan region, and field of logistics service is 3PL that is seriously considered the area of professional services at the last logistics market. Through the methodology of System dynamics, this study has been modeled about dynamic mechanism considered the growth of logistics marker and relation to employment, and has been estimated about ripple effect within logistics market of major policies related with them.
