For the bucket tip position control of the excavator, a traditional hydraulic excavator system was exchanged into an electro-hydraulic one. EPPR valves are attached to the traditional MCV and hydraulic joysticks are replaced by electronic ones to develop the electro-hydraulic system. To control the electronic pump with a good performance, the control logic for the pump is deduced from the AMESim simulation and the experimental method on the test bench. To get a good position control performance of the excavator bucket tip, PI+AntiWindup controller is selected as a position controller. The experimental results showed the good controllability for the electro-hydraulic excavator system on the test bench.

Since the bi-modal tram is too long so that the traditional steering system controlled only the first axle increases its turning radius, it is not suitable to the domestic road environment. In addition, it become hard to make fine parking with the traditional steering system. To resolve the problem, the bi-modal tram requires an all wheel steering system (AWS) that the second axle is controlled by the first axle's degree and the velocity of vehicle, and the third axle is steered by the articulation angle's degree and the velocity of degree. This paper addresses the factors for the AWS ECU design, the strategies to solve the problems, the core technologies for the implementation, and also the outcomes and analysis of the performance evaluation of implemented system.

The aim of this study is to discover the possibility as the shading systems, and to analyze daylight distribution and characteristic of light on the Korean traditional paper. Korean traditional paper has a good efficiency to diffuse the light and is less glare than Roller Shade fabric. In the president office buildings and apartment houses, daylight characteristic of Korean traditional paper windows could be used as a preliminary data to develop a window system which makes greatest performance of daylight.

Now in the 21st century, all the industries in our world are rapidly changing, including fashion trends and customers' needs as well. Fashion textile planning is also developing towards the direction where it could satisfy the merged sensitivity and incentive of the customers through an idea. The purpose of this study is to accentuate the importance of fashion material planning in fitting conventional patterns and eco-benign fabric materials. Accordingly, this study is mainly focused on the reflection of fabric planning characteristics to show tradition containing comfort and naturalness. As mixing with established fabrics and blending with natural/functional fabrics, and conforming to the trend of the seasonal fabric, it has developed a new structure and pattern by changing the basic source of traditional patterns to a computer aided design system. Therefore, four different types of items were basically up-graded by fitting it in with traditional patterns.

This is designed to find out the relations between traditional dwelling and its ecological concepts and factors in the natural environment. This also reveals how to design the dwelling under the full consideration of eco-system and its application possibility. Now, I have a conclusion that Modern architecture application would be possible if we design buildings under full-consideration of ecological environmental elements, inheriting the characteristics of the typical architecture items through more detailed and further advanced studies in traditional architecture methods.

A kind of image analysis system is used to investigate the structural features of the traditional handmade papers made from Kenaf and Abutilon. The screen mark on the paper was identified and analyzed. The dusts, shives and fiber bundles were manifested and calculated. The relationship between basis weight of the traditional paper and mean gray level of the image was discussed in detail. Some methods to express the formation of traditional handmade paper were studied.

In this multi-cultural era, the cultural identity of each nation has appeared as a major issue, and needs to clearly define it through comparisons with other cultures have been raised. This research aims to analyze characteristics of traditional furniture of Korea and China according to residential culture and to find out their similarities and dissimilarities. ‘Banga’ in Korea ‘Sahapwon’ in China in the same era were selected for the comparison for traditional furniture between Korea and China. In the part of comparative analysis, characteristics of the furnitures are summerized based on classification into spatial system of housings and types of furniture. After that, traditional residential cultural differences between two countries that reflected on characteristics of furniture are distinguished and compared. The result of analysis is expected to act a part role of defining the cultural identity of Korea.

The purpose of this thesis is to find out the spiritual cloture inherent in outward elements of Korean traditional costume. For this purpose, the ‘Po(袍)’of the Chosun Period is decided as an object of this study. ‘Po’, which has been one of basic elements of traditional costume from ancient times, contributes to complete the attire and shows the courtesy most apparently. In addition, ‘Po’profoundly contains the spiritual culture of our own because it symbolizes the social status system and customs of the days. The spiritual culture incorporated in the traditional Po of Korea is examined by the study of the thought of Yin and Yang, and Five Elements, Taoism, Han(韓) and the aesthetic characteristics of Korea.

Purpose - This study aims to suggest policy directions for small retail markets in Korea by statistical analysis, which would help small retailers who are facing various difficulties. Research design, data, methodology - This study diagnoses the problems faced by small retail industries in Korea based on government statistics. In addition, this study identifies three areas for successful collaboration between the SSMs and traditional markets-information distribution, products, and fair trade. Results - This study makes three recommendations-information distribution, products, and fair trade. This includes activation of the existing mutual collaboration efforts, channels, CSR report writing and publicity, ethical management cooperation seminars, contract systems of no return, establishment of staff outsourcing standards, and support for suppliers' organizations. Conclusions - Our suggestions for a collaborative system (based on the three suggestions) show that collaboration rather than confrontation between large and small markets can lead to a sales increase of 2,258.2 billion Won, which is equivalent to the sales loss in 11 traditional markets in one year in Busan.
