중국의 자원수출제한조치와 WTO 규칙 부합성에 관한 분석 (Analysis of the Validity of the China's Resource Export-Quota Restrictive Measures under the GATT/WTO)

  • China's "Foreign Trade law" 16.4 revised in 2004 like "Foreign Trade law" 16.2 in 1994 is still stipulated resource restriction to protect domestic resources and it does not satisfy the introduction of article 20 and section (g) of GATT 1994. Through an interpretation of related regulations and China-EU cokes dispute, the paper points out that China's "Foreign Trade law" 16.4 has no validity of the introduction of article 20 and section (g) of GATT 1994. Comparing China's "Foreign Trade law" 16.4 to GATT 1994 20(g), China's "Foreign Trade law" 16.4 does not include important conditions of GATT 1994 20 introduction such as not being arbitrary or unjustifiable discrimination and disguised restriction on international trade. For example, based upon China's "Foreign Trade law" , if she restricts or prohibits important natural resources that Korea mainly relies on China, it will effects not only trade between two countries but also our lives and securities. Hence, it is highly time to analyze China's the Validity of the China's Resource Export-Quota Restrictive Measures under the GATT/WTO. In the process of resolving China-EU cokes dispute in 2004, ministry of Commerce of China shows well its characteristics of dispute settlement and also we can find out EU's logical countermeasures. Therefore, because of the high possibility of disputes between Korea and China in the area of natural resources, Korea needs to pay attention to the China's resource protecting policies, and if it violates GATT 1994 20 introduction and (g), we should consider to sue China to WTO. The paper believes that it will play an important role as an aggressive demand and effect on amendment of China's "Foreign Trade law" in the long term.

패널중력모형을 통한 한국 자동차산업의 교역패턴과 자유무역협정의 영향 분석 (Empirical Analysis on Trade Pattern of Korean Motor Industry and Effect of Free Trade Agreement through Panel Gravity Model)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 패널중력모형을 이용하여 한국 자동차산업의 무역패턴을 분석해 보고, 지역경제권 가입이 한국의 무역에 미치는 효과를 실증적으로 분석하여 이에 따른 시사점을 도출하는데 있다. 본 연구의 분석한 결과에 의하면 한국의 자동차산업 교역은 상대국의 소득수준에 의거한 교역패턴(Per Capita Pattern)보다는 전반적 시장규모에 의거한 교역패턴(GDP Pattern)을 따르고 있음을 알 수 있다. 한편 자유무역협정 체결이 한국 자동차산업 교역규모에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 자동차전체산업의 경우에는 교역이 약 179%, 자동차부품산업의 경우에는 교역이 약 198% 증가되는 무역창출효과가 관찰되었다. 결론적으로 한국 자동차산업의 단기적 교역증대를 위해서는 우선적으로 시장규모가 크고 지리적으로 근접한 국가와 교역하는 것이 더욱 유리할 것으로 예상된다. 그러나 근본적으로 한국 자동차산업의 국제경쟁력 향상을 통한 교역확대를 위해서는 자동차의 소형화 지능화 친환경화로 대변되는 자동차산업의 환경변화에 철저히 대비하고, 핵심기술 보유를 위한 정부와 민간기업의 선제적인 공략과 적극적인 투자가 절실히 요구된다고 할 수 있다.

환태평양경제동반자협정이 동아시아 무역네트워크에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effect of Trans-Pacific Partnership through East Asia Trade Network)

  • 동아시아 지역은 FTA 확대로 인해 국경을 초월한 경제일체화가 진척되고 있고, 각국의 규제제도 개혁으로 기업활동의 자유는 높아지고 있으며, 국경을 초월한 공정간 분업이 진전되고 있는 등 무역네트워크의 고도화가 촉진되고 있다. 미국이 주도하는 다자간 FTA인 환태평양경제동반자협정(TPP)은 2016년 2월 4일 뉴질랜드 오클랜드에서 12개국이 협정문에 서명하였는데, 동아시아 무역네트워크의 변화가 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 TPP가 동아시아 무역네트워크에 미칠 영향에 관해 살펴보았다. 연구결과 TPP는 공급사슬의 글로벌화를 이끄는 규제 및 제도로써 공급사슬 구조를 변화시키고, 가치사슬에 긍정적인 효과를 야기한다. 이는 동아시아 무역네트워크에 상당한 영향을 미칠 것이며 참여기업의 경쟁력 강화로 이어질 것이다. 또한 TPP는 향후 아태자유무역지대(FTAAP)의 실현을 위한 토대가 될 것으로 보이는데, 무역의존도가 높은 한국은 이로 인해 변화할 동아시아 무역환경에 효과적으로 대처하기 위한 정책적 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.

군산항만의 발전전략에 관한 연구-대 중국교역을 중심으로- (A Study on Development Strategies for Kunsan Port : Focused on trade with China)

  • The establishment of the WTO system means that the global age of trade has officially arrived. Since the integration of the world economy brings about the free movement of goods and services between nations, it is inevitable that sea-bound freight will continue to increase. A recent World Bank report says that China and Korea will be the first and seventh largest economic Powers, respectively, by the year 2020. In particular, the Korea peninsula has a geo-political advantage in being developed as a major Northeast Asian container center. Moreover China's swift uprising needs new order of trade for economy belt in Northeast Asia. Therefore, it can be said that Kunsan Port. which has already been designated as a free trade zone, has greater potential to rise as a regional beach-head port and main region for foreign investment. As such. Kunsan Port will play a major role in accelerating the emergence of the West Sea in international trade. There are several strategies for developing Kunsan Port into a central container port: 1) develop Kunsan port Into an import/export front base f3r multinational corporations, 2) develop Kunsan container port into the core composite container-linked central port, 3) attract foreign investment to the Kunsan Free Trade Area so as to promote balanced development among the regions of Korea, 4) support the central government and local governments to accelerate the coming of the "West Sea Era." These recommendations call for urgent implementation.

국내 무역전시 연구 분류 및 동향에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Classification of Research and Trend in the Korea Trade Show)

  • This study aimed to analyze research trend of the trade show industry in Korea and further to suggest the future direction on the research area where industrial strategies and governmental supports can be made. From 2001 to 2011 by order of 11-year study by analyzing research trends and future direction of policy more effective marketing strategy is precisely to provide direction for research. For the purpose of this study, 169 articles from 49 national level journals of Korea was classified and analyzed. 30 researches in 2005 was published research papers related to the exhibition industry was grew rapidly. According to the analysis, participants behavior of trade show were the most important topic with 33 articles. Various statistical methods such as ANOVA, structural equation model, path analysis, t-test and regression were used. However the study methods of these researches didn't make much progress. The result of this study indicated that we need to study more about the trade show industry of Korea, especially about local economic development and regional demand of trade show.

Relationship Between Dry Ports and Regional Economy: Evidence from Yangtze River Economic Belt

  • With the evolution of containerization and globalization of supply chains, aspects of port functions have made the transition from the sea to the inland region that forms the dry port. To explore the relationship between dry ports and regional economic development, this study uses a gravity model and forecast model to analyze 1,040 observations in 104 cities (22 dry port cities) along the Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) from 2008 to 2017. The model includes economic variables, logistics variables, foreign relations variables, and human capital variables. It was found that the dry port is positively correlated with trade volume. Compared with a city without a dry port, the trade volume of a city with a dry port will increase 0.099 times. It can be concluded that a dry port is crucial for the economic development of the YREB. It was also found that per capita GDP as an economic variable, road area and rail number as logistics variables, and foreign relation variables are positively correlated with trade volume, while the human capital variable has no significant effect on trade volume. In addition, governmental policy implications are addressed from the aspects of dry port and industry cluster caused by foreign investment.

  • In Korea, the road transport industry is pointed out as a major cause of air pollutants, so management control is needed. Existing studies used only positive input and output variables to measure regional efficiency. However, it is necessary to consider the environmental pollution problem in efficiency analysis. In this study, an undesirable SBM analysis using CO2 was conducted to measure efficiency of domestic regions. In addition, SDM was conducted to examine the ripple effect between domestic regions. As a result of the analysis, the efficiency of the capital area such as Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon was high in the road transport industry. However, the efficiency of the road transportation industry in Daegu and Gangwon was low. In the SDM analysis, it was found that the regional equipment capabilities had a great influence on efficiency. In order to improve efficiency, it is necessary to increase and improve the equipment capacity of the road transport industry.

보행자통행량이 상가권리금에 미치는 영향의 평가 (Assessing the Impact of Pedestrian Traffic Volumes on Locational Goodwill)

  • 통행하는 보행자의 특징이 상가권리금에 미치는 효과를 실증적으로 모형을 구축하고 시험 하였다. 이 연구를 위한 이론적 근거는 중심지 이론, 입찰지대, 집적이론, 외부수요 이론이다. 자료에는 서울시 100개 $3.3m^2$당 상권의 상가권리금, $3.3m^2$당 상가보증금, $3.3m^2$당 상가월세 그리고 보행자의 특성과 관련된 정보가 포함되어 있다. 실증분석은 서울시 상가 1,307개를 표본을 사용하여 시험하였다. 그리고 자료집합은 회귀나무 및 회귀방법을 이용하여 분석이 이루어졌다. 이 분석한 결과로서, 각각의 상권에서 상가권리금에 영향을 주는 변수는 평일 오후 2시 보행자의 통행량, 평일 오후 4시 보행자의 통행량, 평일 오후 8시 보행자의 통행량이다. 요약하면, 상권의 경제적 기반을 뿐만 아니라 통행 보행자의 특징은 상가권리금을 결정하기 위해 고려되어야한다.

대학생(大學生)의 캐주얼 의류 구매 상권분석(衣類 購買 商圈分析) - 구매 시기(購買 時期)를 중심(中心)으로 - (Analysis of Trade Area for Casual Wear Purchase of University Students - Focused on Buying Time -)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine differences in university students' spatial behavior and time for purchasing weekdays or weekends according to trading areas they use to purchase casual wears. Theoretical background examined trading areas, in Busan, consumers' spatial behavior. An empirical research developed a questionnaire as a measuring tool to conduct a preliminary survey and a main survey. Data collection was implemented with 507 students from four universities in Busan; and for data analysis, descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation analysis, correspondence analysis, and McNemar test were carried out by using the SPSS for Windows 12.0K program. This study obtained the main results as follows: The characteristics of university students' spatial behavior according to trading areas show significant difference in reasons of trading area selection, time slots for visiting. University students who visited the Seomyeon trading area were found to consider comparison-based purchasing and prominence of the trading area, regardless of the time for purchasing weekdays or weekends. As for trading areas around Busan National University, visits were mainly due to accessibility. Students visited trading areas in Nampo-Gwangbok-dong regardless of the time for purchasing in diverse reasons of trading area selection, time slots. As for trading areas around Kyungsung University, students were visited due to accessibility.

  • The cross-border trade(CBT) market has grown significantly due to the global spread of the Internet and mobile. China has become a very important market because of its share of 78% in 2016 in the export of korea's CBT. To sum up this phenomenon, First, the forms of distribution and trade, in which the O2O method is utilized, are settled. Next, it is necessary to develop a new strategy to expand the stagnant export of Korea. In particular, it is time to look for an effective export expansion strategy to expand market share in the fast-growing Chinese market. For this purpose, this study proposed a strategy for efficient use of logistics as a countermeasure against China's CBT laws and regulations and development of CBT exports to China to develop effective export strategies.
