Symbolism of Costume in the Genre Paintings of Shin Yoon Bok (혜원 신윤복의 풍속화에 나타난 복식의 상징성)

  • This study analyzes the symbolism of costume in the genre paintings of Yoon Bok Shin, the great artist of Korea in eighteenth century, based on the symbolic interaction theory. We classify the symbolic character into tow categories, the symbolism of social status and position as a social factor, and erotic symbol as a sexual factor. The symbolism of the social status and position include the sex, age, class, occupation, and diginity. From the costume In the paintings, the symbolic character of the clothing in the social and sexual contexts can be visualized.

  • The study is to analyze modesty of clothing motive of western costume during the 6∼12 th and 17th pilgrim's revolution period by Flugel's theory. these society of tow period maintained the moral and ascetic life under he control christianity and pilgrim. This study utilized terms of Freud's theory on human personality in defining the characteristics of periods. Two periods is to define as Super-ego period.

  • The object boundary of an image plays an important role for image interpretation. In this paper, we introduce a concept of hierarchical mesh-based image segmentation for finding object boundaries. In each hierarchical layer, we employ neighborhood searching and boundary tracking methods to refine the initial boundary estimate. We also apply a local region growing method to define closed contours. Experimental results indicate that reliable segmentation of objects can be accomplished by the pro-posed tow complexity technique.

  • In [1, 2], described a Chebyshev series method for the numerical solution of integral equations with three automatic algorithms for computing tow regularization parameters, C/sub f/ and r. Here we describe a Fourier series expansion method for a class singular integral equations with Hilbert kernel and constant coefficients with using a new automatic algorithm.

  • Shapiro and Wilk (1972) developed a test for exponentiality with origin and scale unknown. The procedure consists of comparing the generalized least squares estimate of scale with the estimate of scale given by the sample variance. However the test statistic is inconsistent. Kim(2001) proposed a modified Shapiro-Wilk's test statistic based on the ratio of tow asymptotically efficient estimates of scale. In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of the statistic using the approximation of the quantile process by a sequence of Brownian bridges and represent the limit null distribution as an integral of a Brownian bridge.

  • Xinjiang locates on the Middle Eurasia. Droaght features Xinjiang's climate , especially during the spring sowing season. Therefore, efficiency irrigation system is indispensable to Xinjiang farming. Furrow orborder irrigation system has replaced flooding irrigation.   • This is an introduction to a stochastic version of E. Cartan′s symplectic mechanics. A class of time-symmetric("Bernstein") diffusion processes is used to deform stochastically the exterior derivative of the Poincare-Cartan one-form on the extended phase space. The resulting symplectic tow-form is shown to contain the (a.e.) dynamical laws of the diffusions. This can be regarded as a geometrization of Feynman′s path integral approach to quantum theory; when Planck′s constant reduce to zero, we recover Cartan′s mechanics. The underlying strategy is the one of "Euclidean Quantum Mechanics".

  • In this investigation, a solar evaporation method was studied to reduce the water content of the radioactive sludge produced from the clay adsorption liquid waste treatment. The solar method to form sludge cake from sludge slurry could economically reduce the sludge volume and the operation cost of minimum 8% could be curtailed.

  • In this paper a simpel algorithm for all-digial high speed symbol synchronization is proposed. The proposed algorithm has a structure based on BECM (band-edge component maximization). The algorithm requires only tow samples per symbol for its operation. We analyze and evaluate performance of the proposed algorithm. Simulation results reveal that the proposed algorithm has better performance than the gardner algorithm in narrowband.

  • In this Paper, we introduced 32 bit SOC implementation for multi-application Smart Card and described the methodology for reducing power consumption. It consists of ARMTTDMI micro-processor, 192 KBytes EEPROM, 16 KB SRAM, crypto processors and card reader interface based on AMBA bus system. We used Synopsys Power Compiler to estimate and optimize power consumption. Experimental results show that we can reduce Power consumption up to 62 % without increasing the chip area.
