Home Care Nursing: An Economic Analysis (가정간호의 경제성 평가에 관한 문헌분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the economic effectiveness of by conducting a literature review of published articles, masters theses, and doctoral dissertations. Method: Prior to the literature review, inclusion-exclusion criteria were established. We then reviewed 1,029 CINAHL, MEDLINE, and Cochrane DB papers, and 153 RISS papers collected between Results: A total of 12 studies met the inclusion-exclusion criteria.-effectiveness: 6 cost-effectiveness studies, 1 cost-utility studies, and 5 cost-benefit studies. Each of the 12 reviewed studies concluded that home care nursing had greater economic benefits than other compared healthcare services. Conclusion: Home care nursing has significant economic benefits in multi health care service settings and for various patient groups. Therefore these results will be used a critical evidence for the development of economically effective home based health care systems for future policy making.

An Energy Efficient Algorithm Based on Clustering Formulation and Scheduling for Proportional Fairness in Wireless Sensor Networks

  • In this paper, we investigate the problem of achieving proportional fairness in hierarchical wireless sensor networks. Combining clustering formulation and scheduling, we maximize total bandwidth utility for proportional fairness while controlling the power consumption to a minimum value. This problem is decomposed into two sub-problems and solved in two stages, which are Clustering Formulation Stage and Scheduling Stage, respectively. The above algorithm, called CSPF_PC, runs in a network formulation sequence. In the Clustering Formulation Stage, we let the sensor nodes join to the cluster head nodes by adjusting transmit power in a greedy strategy; in the Scheduling Stage, the proportional fairness is achieved by scheduling the time-slot resource. Simulation results verify the superior performance of our algorithm over the compared algorithms on fairness index.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the utility of the modified form of CTS2(the revised Conflict Tactic Scales) for use of children on university students fo Korea. To attain this purpose, we modified Straus's CTS2(the revised Conflict Tactic Scale) for use of children. It consist of negotiation subscale, physical assault subscale, psychological aggression subscale and injury subscale without sexual coercion subscale. The subjects consisted of 288 students from 19 to 24 of age. As results of analysis(correlation, factor analysis, Cronbach' α), reliability of subscales of CTS2 range from .83 to .98 and total reliability of CTS2 is .93 And there are evidences of construct validity(the convergent validity and discriminant validity) fo CTS2. we examine the prevalence of wife abuse behavior in our subjects' parents. There are the high prevalence of psychological aggression(75.7%) and physical assault(43.4%)

  • As it has been reported that more than 60% of transmission line faults occurs due to lightning strokes, lighting is one of concerned issues in electric power utility company. Most of transmission line is double circuit in Korea. Double circuit outages account for 33.7 percent of total lightning faults from 1996 to 2004. Even though transmission fault might be cleared shortly by protective system, it could deteriorate the power quality accompanied with sag or flicker. Moreover, double circuit fault may lead to more aggravated situation, for instance, blackout. To Protect transmission lines from lightning stroke, reduction of tower footing resistance, multiple ground wires and unbalanced insulation in double circuit lines have been adopted. In this paper, we would like to introduce insulation design standards for lightning protection of Korea Electric Power Corporation.

  • Our country is still suffering from much work outage, nearly 80% of total outage time, in 22.9kV-Y multi-grounded distribution lines. Therefore, KEPCO which is the sole utility owned by the Korean government has developed outage-free work techniques to improve the reliability of power supply in Our country. This paper is to introduce the developing process and good effects of outage-free work techniques, and the equipment developed and applied in Our country. This paper will aid many utilities to try to reduce the work outage.

  • The conventional meju samples were collected from various districts and the improved kokja were prepared in laboratory. The changes of components in the process of the conventional soysauce and the improved soysauce preparation was studied. The experimental results are as follows; 1. The conventional soysauce is less than the improved soysauce in the extent of utility of total nitrogen. 2. The former is less than the latter in amino-type nitrogen content.

A Study on the Household's Debt and its Determinants (가계의 부채보유여부 및 부채액에 대한 영향요인 분석)

  • Even if holding debt may be a rational means for household to maximize utility under any circumstance and any time through the family life cycle most households have some difficulty to determin and keep the moderate debt amount. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of household's debt and the factor associated with debt. Data used in this study consisted of 4,009 households. The results of this study were as follows; Among 4,009 households 1,400 housholds?(34.9%) owed. Age education and occupation of household header liquid and real asset and housing ownership had significant effects on whether household having debt. The real and liquid asset had significantly positive relation with the liabilities of financial agency whereas the occupation of household header liquid asset and unearned income with private liabilities. Finally age education and occupation of household header home ownership and liquid asset had significantly negative effect on the total a ount of debt while earned and unearned income and real asset had positive one.

A Preliminary Study on Validity of Korean Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Preschool Version(BRIEF-P) (한국판 유아용 실행기능 척도(BRIEF-P)의 타당화를 위한 예비연구)

  • This study was performed to verify the validity and utility of the Korean Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Preschool Version(BRIEF-P). The BRIEF-P is one of the most used instruments to measure Executive Function(EF) and a teacher-rating assessment method designed to measure the executive function of preschoolers(age 2-5). A total of 200 preschoolers(104 boys, 96 girls; recruited aged 3 to 5years) participated. Confirmatory factor analysis was carried out to evaluate the model structure. Correlation analysis was done to verify the concurrent validity. In the results, the model fit indexes were good with the five BRIEF-P subscales (that is, inhibit, shift, emotional control, working memory, plan/organize). The internal consistency of the BRIEF-P five subscales were supported. As a results, the Korean Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Preschool Version(BRIEF-P) was confirmed to be a reliable and valid assessment tool to measure executive function in preschoolers.

  • This paper presents a method of minimizing of generation cost on individual electrical power utility. The method is based on the Economic Dispatch (ED) and linear Available Transfer Capability (ATC). The economic dispatch redistributes the total load to individual units to minimize the generation cost without transmission network constraints. The proposed method is implemented using ATC calculated from Power Transfer Distribution Factor (PTDF) for the transmission network constraints. The performance of the proposed method has been tested for the IEEE-30 bus system. It has also been observed that the results of the proposed method is compared with that of optimal power flow.
