  • The present study addresses the research frameworks and directions in the area of accounting information systems (AIS) by conducting a comprehensive survey of 76 A/S doctoral dissertations published between 1980 and 1990. The central research task is to identify the distinctive features of A/S that distinguish it from other disciplines. The procedure of the survey analysis is as follows. First, the A/S dissertations are categorized according to information systems (IS) and accounting. Then, some representative A/S research areas are documented, based on the IS/accounting domain combinations. The paper also attempts to discover the topical trends, supporting bases, and qualitative aspects of the A/S research. The survey reveals a : 1) the existence of economics as a supporting discipline, 2) the topical trend consistent with the evolution of IS, but restricted by the specific combinations of its parent domains, and 3) the need for intellectual rigor in the A/S research.

  • As Topic Modeling has been applied in increasingly various domains, the difficulty in naming and characterizing topics also has been recognized more. This study, therefore, explores an approach of combining text mining with network analysis in a multi-step approach. The concept of synchronization was applied to re-assign the top author keywords in more than one topic category, in order to improve the visibility of the topic-author keyword network, and to increase the topical cohesion in each topic. The suggested approach was applied using 16,548 articles with 2,881 unique author keywords in construction and building engineering indexed by KSCI. As a result, it was revealed that the combined approach could improve both the visibility of the topic-author keyword map and topical cohesion in most of the detected topic categories. There should be more cases of applying the approach in various domains for generalization and advancement of the approach. Also, more sophisticated evaluation methods should also be necessary to develop the suggested approach.

  • In this paper, we propose a skin lesion detection to develop the system of fluorescence image analysis to identify the fluorescence of topical methyl aminolevulinate(MAL) idduced PpIX in patients with BCC accurately. By fluorescence image analysis we define the border between tumo and tumor-free areas on fluorescence image after topical application of MAL ointment. We excised both the tumor and peri-tumoral areas widely from the 10 patients with BCC, and divided tissue samples into 3 area, such as tumor area, suspected tumor area, tumor-free area, respectively. Our proposed method migt play a role as an adjunctive tool to define the border between tumor and tumor-free areas for Mohs' micrographic surgery.

  • The objective of this investigation was to develop nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) of tacrolimus by the hot homogenization technique by sonication. NLCs are commonly prepared by emulsification and lyophilization. The feasibility of fabricating tacrolimus-loaded NLCs was successfully demonstrated in this study. The developed NLCs were characterized in terms of their particle size, zeta potential, entrapment efficiency (EE) of tacrolimus, and morphology. Studies were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the NLCs in improving the penetration rate through hairless mouse skin. Tacrolimus-loaded NLCs were found to have an average size of $123.4{\pm}0.3\;nm$, a zeta potential of $-24.3{\pm}6.2\;mV$, and an EE of 50%. In vitro penetration tests revealed that the tacrolimus-loaded NLCs have a penetration rate that is 1.64 times that of the commercial tacrolimus ointment, Protopic$^{(R)}$.

  • Essential hyperhidrosis is a socially disabling and emotionally embarrassing condition. Localized excessive sweating in the sacrococcygeal region is a rare form of focal hyperhidrosis. Although numerous treatment options exist, including botulinum toxin and sympathetic neurolysis, there has been no generally accepted form of treatment. The following cases describe the successful reduction of excessive sweating in the sacrococcygeal region, without side effects, after local applications of topical glycopyrrolate and the use of fast drying clothes.

  • Objective : Photodynamic therapy (PDT) using topical aminolevulinic acid (ALA) has increasingly been used for the treatment of acne vulgaris and several studies have shown its clinical efficacy. However, ALA-PDT needs a relatively long incubation period and is frequently associated with adverse effects. Triptophan and Riboflavin has been introduced as a new photosensitizer for the treatment of acne recently. Method : 11 patients with acne vulgaris were received PDT with tryptophan and riboflavin four to six times over two to three months. The photos of each patient were taken before and after treatment. Result and conclusion : PDT with tryptophan and riboflavin may be an effective and safe treatment for the Acne vulgaris patients.

  • Purpose. To investigate the effect of different terpene enhancers on skin penetrations of prostaglandin El (PGE1) and its ethyl ester (PGE1-EE), a therapeutic agent for erectile dysfunction, external gel systems were formulated with the specific enhancers having different values in their lipophilicity (log P was ranged in 2.23-4.58). Methods. Topical gels containing PGEl (0.5 %) and PGEl-EE (0.1 %) were formulated with ethanol and propylene glycol as a vehicle, selective terpenes as a penetration enhancer, and HPC-H as a thickening agent. • Scars can cause great psychological stress among patients. Currently, there are numerous topical agents, laser and surgical treatments available for skin rejuvenation and scar minimization. Laser-assisted drug delivery (LADD) is a treatment method that increases drug delivery by stimulating the skin physically and chemically to enhance the penetration of topical agents. This is one of the areas of great interest in the treatment of various skin diseases in addition to its use for cosmetic purposes. In particular, LADD is relatively non-invasive and has advantages in terms of accessibility and stability. Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) is a collagen stimulator known to gradually restore skin volume by inducing inflammation and fibroplasia. Herein, we report a case of treatment of an atrophic scar with fractional carbon dioxide laser-assisted PLLA delivery.

  • Oral mucosal burns can occur after contact with various chemical agents, and commonly manifest as areas of mucosal sloughing and ulceration. Policresulen (Albothyl, Celltrion Pharm Inc.) is an over-the-counter topical antiseptic that is frequently used to treat stomatitis. Policresulen solution is highly acidic, with an approximate pH of 0.6; it can thus cause mucosal injury when improperly applied in the oral cavity. Here, we present a rare case of an oral mucosal burn resulting from incorrect self-administration of policresulen and emphasize the importance of increasing understanding of this adverse drug event among consumers and health professionals.
