고무차륜 AGT시스템 경전철의 동특성 해석 (Dynamics of an AGT System Light Rail Transit with Rubber Tires)

  • This paper deals with dynamic characteristics of automated guideway transit vehicle with rubber tires. Several models for guideway system of LRT(Light Rail Transit) have been Proposed because of the necessity of guideway system for LRT with rubber tires on exclusive rail unlike steel tires. Here, steering system and bogie system are investigated to compare with dynamic characteristics. On selecting guideway system, the way of vehicle operation should be considered and simultaneously the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle must be evaluated with respect to each guideway. The results show that stability is essential for vehicle with steering system, and that single-axle bogie system gives the good stability, though it is necessary to reduce the guide-wheel force

폐타이어의 철도진동 저감효과에 대한 실험적 연구 (Reduction Effect of Railroad Vibration by Utilizing Waste Tires)

  • This paper describes the results of a series of field experiments which are carried out to assess the reduction effect of railroad vibration by utilizing waste tires. The ground vibration due to train service is measured in Honam Railroad line and Kyongbu Railroad line to assess the ground vibration with the domestic railroad line and train type before field model test. From the results of these tests, frequency on train service is presented from 5Hz to 100Hz and a range of excellence frequency is presented to be about from 20Hz to 40Hz in the domestic railroad line. Also, plate bearing tests are conducted to evaluate the variation of bearing capacity with different thickness of the waste tire layer and the fill layer. Finally, field model test is performed by using tire chips ($5cm{\times}5cm$ in size) as a reduction material of railroad vibration. The reduction effect of railroad vibration by utilizing waste tires increases with increasing the thickness of the waste tire layer and the frequency of the vibration source. The results of this experimental study was shown that the waste tire can be used for reduction of the railroad vibration.

Consideration of the Frictional Force on the Crack Surface and Its Implications for Durability of Tires

  • In order to find out a physical quantity which controls the fatigue life of a structure and to predict the fatigue life of tires, a finite element simulation methodology to use the cracking energy density (CED) and the virtual crack closure technique (VCCT) was proposed and applied to three different tires of a similar size. CED was calculated to predict the location of a crack initiation, and VCCT was used to obtain the strain energy release rate (SERR) at the tip of an initiated crack. Finite element simulations showed that SERR oscillated in the circumferential direction with its minimum occurring just before the contact zone and its maximum occurring just after the center of the contact zone, and SERR was affected significantly by the frictional force acting on the crack surface. In addition, a durability test was conducted to measure the fatigue life of the three tires. The comparison of SERR values with the test data revealed that the fatigue life increased as the amplitude of SERR decreased or as the R-ratio of SERR increased.

자유상태에서 경상용차용 타이어의 진동특성 (Vibration Characteristics of Tires for Light-duty Truck under Free Suspension)

  • Due to the rapid increase of long-distance transportation, particular attentions have been paid to truck tires, especially to their dynamic characteristics. In this research, experimental modal analysis on two kinds of light-duty truck tires, i.e., radial tire and bias tire, are performed by using GRFP(global rational fraction polynomial) method to investigate differences of the dynamic behavior of the two tires. The test results have shown that the modal frequencies of bias tire are much higher than the corresponding values of radial tire with a similar mode shape, which is in accordance with the fact that the radial rigidity of bias tire is higher than that of radial tire. And most of the modal decay rates of bias tire are larger than those of radial tire within the scope of this experiment. In the frequency domain range of test, the bias tire has extra modes, which do not occur in the radial tire. This difference is based on the fact that the circumferential rigidity of the bias tire is quire low whereas that of radial tire is so high that the frequencies of the corresponding modes are out of the frequency range of test.

폐타이어 재활용 고무보도블럭의 제조에 관한 연구 (Fabrication of Rubber Block by using Recycled Waste Tires)

  • 폐타이어를 처리하는데는 매립, 소각, 재활용법으로 구분되어 있다. 이중 재활용에 대한 관심이 고조됨에 따라 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 폐타이어 재활용법에는 원형이용, 열이용, 분말가공 이용법이 있고 본 연구에서는 이중 분말가공 방법에 의하여 고무보도블럭 제조에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 고무보도블럭 제조공정은 폐타이어를 수집하여 분쇄공정에 의해 얻은 폐타이어 고무 분말을 접착제(binder)와 혼합하여 성형하는 방법이다. 본문에서는 binder 종류에 따라 물성의 변화를 비교하여 보았고, 표면 코팅, 2층 구조 고무보도블럭을 다루어 경제적인 고무보도블럭 제조에 대하여 논하였다.

폐타이어 콘크리트 블록의 활용 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study of Application on Waste Tire Blocks Filled with Concrete)

  • 최근 들어 급격한 자동차의 증가와 함께 발생되는 폐타이어는 관리에 많은 어려움이 있다. 현재 유일한 처리방법으로는 소각처리뿐인데 이 또한 유독 가스를 배출하기 때문에 환경적으로 악영향을 끼칠 수 있어 사용이 곤란하다. 이러한 난처리성 폐기물인 폐타이어는 뚜렷한 대안 없이 방치되어 경관을 해치고 미관상 위협감을 줄 수 있다. 이렇게 환경적 미관적으로 악영향을 미치고 있는 폐타이어를 재활용하는 방안으로 폐타이어 내부에 콘크리트를 채워 구조적 강도를 확보하여 건설자재로 활용하면 내부 콘크리트를 보호할 수 있고 다양한 형태로 제작 가능하여 여러 방면에 적용할 수 있는 재료로 활용할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 폐타이어 콘크리트 블록의 사용 가능성을 검토하기 위해 강도 시험을 실시하였고 적용 분야와 적용방법을 검토해 보았다. 본 연구에서 제시한 적용 분야로는 사면안정 공법, 운하건설, 해안 접안시설, 도로 교통안전 시설물, 교량공 교각 및 기초 등이 있다. 이러한 공법으로 폐타이어를 재활용하여 실제 건설 현장에 적용한다면, 자원 재활용이 가능하고 2차 환경오염 등에 따른 비용절감은 물론 소각시 발생할 수 있는 대기오염 방지 및 환경친화적인 경제 부가가치를 창출할 수 있을 것이다.

Temperature Gradient for Tire Pavement Noise Measurement

  • Sound pressure level (SPL) measurements were performed on a controlled test track vehicle coast-by runs of a passenger vehicle with six different sets of tires across a range of temperatures. A small but significant reduction of noise level with positive temperature increases was observed for some tires. The temperature gradient of the different tires at 80㎞/h ranged from -0.07 to + 0.01 dB/℃. Frequency analysis of the tire noise identified that noise content in the range of 1,300 to 1,900Hz was particularly sensitive to temperature changes. Differences in SPL due to speed and tire type were much greater than that due to temperature.

폐타이어 재활용을 위한 미생물 처리 (Studies on Microbial Treatment for Recycling of Waste Tire)

  • Microbial treatment of the powdered waste tire was studied to recycle the waste tires. Chemoautotrophic acidophilic, iron-oxidizing bacterium was employed to unvulcanize the powdered tires. Biotreated rubber powder was compared to a untreated and a chemically treated powder. The results showed sulfur content of rubber powder(1.33%) were decreased to 1.22% by chemical treatment and 1.12% by microbial treatment for 20 days, 0.88%, for 30 days. One of the problems of the powdered utilization of the waste tires is that rubber powder leads to decrease mechanical properties when it is compounded with other virgin polymers. When tee biotreated powder was compounded with natural rubber, the mechanical properties were less decreased when untreated or chemically treated powder. Therefore, the microbial treatment can be one of useful methods to recycle the waste tire.

폐타이어와 토목섬유에 의한 지반보강효과의 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Soil-reinforcing Effect by Waste Tires and Geocell)

  • 본 연구에서는 토목섬유의 일종인 지오셀과 새로 고안된 폐타이어로 제작된 타이어셀, 타이어 매트의 지반보강 효과를 비교ㆍ고찰 하였다. 동일한 밀도, 복토두께 조건에서 실험용 토조내 평판재하시험을 수행하였다. 시험결과 타이어셀과 타이어측면의 조합 보강재가 가장 큰 지지력 증가와 침하량 감소를 나타내었다. 타이어셀과 같은 높이로 만든 지오셀의 보강효과는 타이어측면으로 만든 매트와 유사한 보강효과를 나타냈다.

공기압이 바이어스 플라이 타이어의 견인 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Inflation Pressure on Tractive Performance of Bias-Ply Tires)

  • This study was intended to investigate experimentally the effect of inflation pressure on tractive performance of bias-ply tires for agricultural tractors. Traction tests were conducted at the three velocities of 3, 4, and 5.5km/h under few different surface conditions using a 13.6-28 6PR bias-ply tire as driving wheel of the test tractor. When the inflation pressure was reduced from 250kPa to 40kPa by a decrement of either 30 or 50kPa depending upon the test surface conditions, some of the test results showed that the tractive coefficient and efficiency were increased maximally by 40% and 17%, respectively, at 20% slippage. However, it was failed to derive any consistent rules depicting the effect of inflation pressure of bias ply tires on the tractive performance of tractors.
