  • Based on the prior research which developed the consistency review checklist of the BIM model and 2D drawing through the drawing analysis of the construction documents phase, the apparent limits of the existing template and the template development items were derived. As well, the BIM-based drawing templates of the construction documentation phase were developed and verified using ArchiCAD BIM software. The developed template was then applied to the actual project model in the construction documents phase, and, as a result, 50% of existing work elements could be utilized as templates. This is an increase of more than 30% over the existing template utilization elements, and it is analyzed to be effective in practical application and utilization. Based on the results of this study, if the BIM model construction criteria matching the drawing's utilization purpose are presented, while at the same time the BIM data interlocking and drawing template development studies are conducted, the utilization of BIM data can be maximized and additional drawing work can be minimized to increase the percentage of template utilization elements. In addition, it is believed that this can employed to address functional and institutional problems of BIM-based drawing and make a contribution to the activation of BIM.

  • Nowadays, quality affects product or service performance and customer loyalty in the competitive business' environment. This is truly important when it comes to how the customer interprets the service's satisfaction and the judgment of the purchase process as a whole, in view of the fact that service quality is an abstract and elusive construction due to the three characteristics of services: intangibility, heterogeneity, and inseparability of output and consumption. The main purpose of this paper is to determine the hotel service quality using the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and SERVQUAL method. In this study, a five-star hotel's real case is considered in evaluating the service quality criteria. The results revealed that Tangibles and Assurance are the most critical service quality criteria in the hotel industry. Accurate records, service consistency, Necessary arrangements for disabled people, Service flexibility to guests' demands, and Providing the services at the time it promises are the most influencing sub-criteria of service quality. These findings indicate that hotels should concentrate on sequentially and organized priority factors to enhance service quality. This method of service quality assessment may also aid in distinguishing between hotels. Finally, as a future direction, more additional parameters can be used as a potential guide in our proposed model for the dynamic decision-making approach.

  • The intelligent control algorithm based on the real-time biological monitoring system has been emphasized to enhance the survivability of the combat warrior in the future combat fields. In this study, AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method was deployed to categorize the factors related to the improvement of survivability, then to determine the relative importances between them. As the details of the research process, the historical survivability determinants were firstly categorized, which was nextly judged their relative importance by the experts in the actual fileds through the survey of AHP. In this process, the consistency of the survey was investigated to filter out the error. As a result, the global priority of factors can be acquired to establish the optimized operational concepts in the intelligent warrior platform.

  • In multi-view subspace clustering, how to integrate the complementary information between perspectives to construct a unified representation is a critical problem. In the existing works, the unified representation is usually constructed in the original data space. However, when the data representation in each view is very diverse, the unified representation derived directly in the original data domain may lead to a huge information loss. To address this issue, different to the existing works, inspired by the latest revelation that the data across all perspectives have a very similar or close spectral block structure, we try to construct the unified representation in the spectral embedding domain. In this way, the complementary information across all perspectives can be fused into a unified representation with little information loss, since the spectral block structure from all views shares high consistency. In addition, to capture the global structure of data on each view with high accuracy and robustness both, we propose a novel low-rank approximation via the tight lower bound on the rank function. Finally, experimental results prove that, the proposed method has the effectiveness and robustness at the same time, compared with the state-of-art approaches.

  • While the aerodynamics of solid bluff bodies is reasonably well-understood and methodologies for their reliable numerical simulation are available, the aerodynamics of porous bluff bodies formed by assembling perforated plates has received less attention. The topic is nevertheless of great technical interest, due to their ubiquitous presence in applications (fences, windbreaks and double skin facades to name a few). This work follows previous investigations by the authors, aimed at verifying the consistency of numerical simulations based on the explicit modelling of the perforated plates geometry and their representation by means of pressure-jumps. In this work we further expand such investigations and, contextually, we provide insight into the flow arrangement and its sensitivity to important modelling and setup configurations. To this purpose, Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) and Large-Eddy Simulations (LES) are performed for a 5:1 rectangular cylinder at null angle of attack. Then, using URANS, porosity and attack angle are simultaneously varied. To the authors' knowledge this is the first time in which LES are used to model a porous bluff body and compare results obtained using the explicit modelling approach to those obtained relying on pressure-jumps. Despite the flow organization often shows noticeable differences, good agreement is found between the two modelling strategies in terms of drag force.

  • Compressed-water-type launching devices convert the force from compressed water into force-launching underwater structures, such as torpedos and autonomous underwater vehicles. In particular, the overpressure wave in the launching tube is a critical design factor for the launching device. This paper presents a simplified formula for simulating overpressure waves in the launching tube of a compressed-water-type launching device. Scaled model experiments were performed to obtain actual measurement data of overpressure waves in a launching tube with varying piston speeds to examine the practical applicability of the simplified formula. The main factor of the simplified formula was estimated using an optimization technique. The time history of the overpressure waves was satisfactorily simulated using the estimated factor values and showed consistency with the measurement data. In addition, the trend of change by the piston speed of the estimated factors was reviewed, and the practical applicability was demonstrated. A systematic study of the factors influencing the overpressure waves in launching tubes will be possible using experimental data for more various conditions and the proposed simplified formula.

  • Recently, protein-fortified milk powders are being widely consumed in Korea to prevent sarcopenia, and the demand for high-protein food powders is continuously increasing in the Korean market. However, spray-dried milk proteins have poor flowability and wettability owing to their fine particle sizes and high inter-particle cohesive forces. Fluidized bed agglomeration is widely used to improve the instant properties of food powders. This study investigated the effect of fluidized bed agglomeration on whey protein isolate (WPI)-fortified skim milk powder (SMP) at different SMP/WPI ratios. The fluidized bed process increased the particle size distribution, and agglomerated particles with grape-like structures were observed in the SEM images. As the size increased, the Carr index (CI) and Hausner ratio (HR) values of the agglomerated WPI-fortified SMP particles exhibited excellent flowability (CI: <15) and low cohesiveness (HR: <1.2). In addition, agglomerated WPI-fortified SMP particles exhibited the faster wetting time than the instant criterion (<20 s). As a result, the rheological and physical properties of the WPI-fortified SMP particles were effectively improved by fluidized bed agglomeration. However, the fluidized bed agglomeration process led to a slight change in the color properties. The CIE L* decreased, and the CIE b* increased because of the Maillard reaction. The apparent viscosity (ηa,10) and consistency index (K) values of the rehydrated solutions (60 g/180 mL water) increased with the increasing WPI ratio. These results may be useful for formulating protein-fortified milk powder with better instant properties.

  • Because of the development of advanced construction technology, the inner environments of building become more and more complicated, which may result in many problems. The administer may forget where they put up the certain picture, and search for it all over the building, or they underestimate the number of the visitors, and find the situation is out of control, while the pedestrian may get lost, and after making their efforts, they found they turned back to the origin point again. So it is very necessary to establish an indoor spatial database. On one hand, it is able to assist administrator to manage the property and human flow inside the building, on the other hand it could help the pedestrian find the way easily especially when they are not familiar with the building or there is an emergency. This paper focused on how to create the indoor spatial database including both static database and moving objects database. The static database is built on the basis of 3D building models, and the moving objects database gets information from many kinds of cameras and sensors installed in the building. And at the same time the paper discussed the practical use of indoor spatial database mainly in three aspects including consistency management, building restructure, and pedestrian navigation.
