Cancer registration provides a firm basis for cancer control efforts and research into changing patterns of incidence, mortality, survival and prevalence is of obvious importance. Most of the countries of Asia have already published relevant data although the level of coverage and accuracy do vary a great deal both between and within countries. The present review concerns the relevant literature for the period 2008-2013, focusing on the types of research conducted and the conclusions that can be drawn with regard to what should be done in the future to translate the information available into effective intervention efforts to reduce the burden of disease. A major emphasis has been on determining variation in incidence and mortality/survival on the basis of ethnicity and socioeconomic as well as geographical background, as well as trends over time, either for cancer in general or specific organ sites. In addition a small number of papers focused on methodological, quality and cancer control issues, very pertinent to the future development of cancer registry based research.

The incidence of esophageal cancer in Kazakhstan was analysed for the period of 1989-2010 years, with a focus on trends by age, gender and region. The highest rates of incidence were evident in the Western regions. The dynamics for cancer of the esophagus in the Republic demonstrated decrease, except in the Karaganda region, where a tendency for increase was noted. Considerable variation between regions pointed to differences in risk factor exposure which need to be targeted for future control efforts.

The purpose of this study was to trace the development of Chintz pattern design through fashion history, and to focus on its application in modern times with special emphasis on filtered Chintz patterns. Chintz patterns use such motives as tree, animal, bird, and geometrical shapes, etc.. It reached the peak of its popularity with William Morris. His influence continued from the end of the 19th century through to the 20th century. Modern Chintz designs have been modified and diversified in different cultures through time, and such diversification & changes can be easily found in modern fashion. From previous studies and other related sources, we found that Chintz patterns were revived in modern fashion trends with some modification. We also discovered the importance of chintz pattern designs in ethnic and retro trends. Thus in conclusion, this study revealed the significance, flexibility, and lasting popularity of Chintz pattern designs in fashion history.

Cr-Mo low alloy steels have been used for a long time for pressure vessel due to its excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature strength and toughness. The paper reviewed the latest trends on material development and some problems on Cr-Mo low alloy steel for pressure vessel, such as elevated temperature strength, hardenability, synergetic effect between temper and hydrogen embrittlement, hydrogen attack and hydrogen induced disbonding of overlay weld-cladding.

One of the conspicuous changes in kitchens is that kitchen space is more economically constructed than ever before giving more considerations to functionality. At the same time, eco-friendliness begins enjoying more attention for health and well-being reasons. Which is more important between functionality and eco-friendliness is a matter of personal taste and judgement. But eco-friendliness has become one of the more critical criteria for users to choose kitchen furniture. This paper examines the design trends of Contemporary kitchen furniture from the perspective of functionality and eco-friendliness. Results show that, as has been expected, many of kitchen furniture items manufactured by major furniture businesses have been found more functional and more eco-friendly than before the research period. I expect this trend to continue long into the future.

This article reviewed new trends and controversial issues, including the intensification of chemotherapy and recent brachytherapy (BT) advances, and also reviewed recent consensuses from different societies on the management of locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC). Intensive chemotherapy during and after radiation therapy (RT) was not recommended as a standard treatment due to severe toxicities reported by several studies. The use of positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for pelvic RT planning has increased the clinical utilization of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for the evaluation of pelvic lymph node metastasis and pelvic bone marrow. Recent RT techniques for LACC patients mainly aim to minimize toxicities by sparing the normal bladder and rectum tissues and shortening the overall treatment time by administering a simultaneous integrated boost for metastatic pelvic lymph node in pelvic IMRT followed by MRI-based image guided adaptive BT.

Spatial and temporal analyses of water qualities were performed for 11 monitoring stations located in Mangyung watershed in order to analyze the trends of monthly water quality data of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Total Nitrogen (TN) and Total Phosphorus (TP) measured from 1995 to 2004. The long-term trends were analyzed utilizing Seasonal Mann-Kendall test, LOWESS and three-dimensional graphs were constructed with respect to distance and time. The graph can visualize spatial and temporal trend of the long-term water quality in a large river system. The results of trend analysis indicated that water quality of BOD and TN showed the downward trend. This quantitive and quantitative analysis is the useful tool to analyze and display the long-term trend of water quality in a large river system.

The purpose of this study is to review the research trends of family life planning in the Journal of Korean Rome Economics Association, the Journal of Korean Rome Management Association and the Journal of Korean Family Resource Management Association. For this purpose, 132 studies were analyzed according to the theory of family life planning, the state of family life planning, the diagnosis of present, the establishment of future and the practice of family life planning. At this time, we feel that it is meaningful to review the research of family life planning and to take a look at its possible future prospects. This study also provides the information necessary to implement and integrate its positive results into Family Life Education.

The NOx emission characteristics of jet flames fueled with It was studied. Experimental and numerical investigations were carried out for various flames with varying equivalence ratio, fuel flow rate and nozzle diameter. The Emission indices of NOx(EINOx) were measured by chemiluminescent method and calculated by simulation using detailed chemistry. The results show that the numerical results represent well the trends of EINOx experimentally observed. EINOx of H$_2$ flame steeply increase at small equivalence ratio, gently increase and steady at more than equivalence ratio is 4.0. EINOx trends of H$_2$ flame can be describe in function of residence time in the high-temperature region weighted by the maximum flame temperature.

Immersive media, which maximizes the viewer's sense of presence and immersion, has been developed in the form of 3D stereoscopic media and UHD media. Going one step further, VR media, which can provide immersive experiences within an artificially created environment, have recently been considered a type of next-generation media. Within this trend, numerous IT and broadcasting companies around the world are actively investing their time and resources to boost the emerging VR industry. In this paper, we introduce the representative VR media acquisition and broadcasting service technologies that are leading the current VR industry.
