The forming limit diagram (FLD) is the most commonly used tool for evaluating of sheet metal formability in the manufacturing field as well as the finite element analysis (FEA)-based design process. Determination of the forming limits is considerably influenced by testing/measuring machines, techniques and conditions. These influences may cause a large scatter in FLD from laboratory to laboratory. Scatter is especially true when the ‘position-dependent method’, as is specified in most national and international standards, is used. In the current study a new ‘time-dependent method’ is proposed, which is to determine the forming limit strains more accurately and reasonably when producing a FLD from experimental data. This method is based on continual strain measurement during the test. The results are compared to those from the existing standardized methods.
This paper aims for proposed the deflection limit on vibration serviceability of high-speed railway bridges considering the exposed time duration when a train passes a railway bridge. For this purpose, bridge-train transfer function was derived and bridge-train interaction analysis was performed by using the derived function. The vertical acceleration signals of passenger cars obtained from bridge-train interaction analysis were compared with them from the bridge-train transfer function by moving constant force analysis. Therefore it was estimated possible to induce the comfort deflection limit of railway bridge by using bridge-train transfer function. The deflections by moving force of single span bridge and continuous bridge were assumed as sine and haversine wave. The deflection limit on vibration serviceability of high-speed railway bridges considering the exposed time duration can be expanded using bridge-train transfer function and bridge comfort limit considering serviceability due to bridge vibration. And it was compared to other allowable deflection limits of railway bridge design specifications.
A simple proof for the random central limit theorem is given for a family of stationary linear lattice processes, which belogn to a class of 2 dimensional random fields, applying the Beveridge and Nelson decomposition in time series context. The result is an extension of Fakhre-Zakeri and Fershidi (1993) dealing with the linear process in time series to the case of the linear lattice process with 2 dimensional indices.

Various modified GARCH(1, 1) models have been found adequate in many applications. We are interested in their continuous time versions and limiting properties. We first define a stochastic integral that includes useful continuous time versions of modified GARCH(1, 1) processes and give sufficient conditions under which the process is exponentially ergodic and ${\beta}$-mixing. The central limit theorem for the process is also obtained.
In mobile communications, a class of variable-complexity algorithms for convolutional decoding known as sequential decoding algorithms is of interest since they have a computational time that could vary with changing channel conditions. The Fano algorithm is one well-known version of a sequential decoding algorithm. Since the decoding time of a Fano decoder follows the Pareto distribution, which is a heavy-tailed distribution parameterized by the channel signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), buffers are required to absorb the variable decoding delays of Fano decoders. Furthermore, since the decoding time drawn by a certain Pareto distribution can become unbounded, a maximum limit is often employed by a practical decoder to limit the worst-case decoding time. In this paper, we investigate the relations between buffer occupancy, decoding time, and channel conditions in a system where the Fano decoder is not allowed to run with unbounded decoding time. A timeout limit is thus imposed so that the decoding will be terminated if the decoding time reaches the limit. We use discrete-time semi-Markov models to describe such a Fano decoding system with timeout limits. Our queuing analysis provides expressions characterizing the average buffer occupancy as a function of channel conditions and timeout limits. Both numerical and simulation results are provided to validate the analytical results.

This paper describes a hardware-oriented algorithm and its conceptual implementation in a real-time speed limit traffic sign detection system on an automotive-oriented field-programmable gate array (FPGA). It solves the training and color dependence problems found in other research, which saw reduced recognition accuracy under unlearned conditions when color has changed. The algorithm is applicable to various platforms, such as color or grayscale cameras, high-resolution (4K) or low-resolution (VGA) cameras, and high-end or low-end FPGAs. It is also robust under various conditions, such as daytime, night time, and on rainy nights, and is adaptable to various countries' speed limit traffic sign systems. The speed limit traffic sign candidates on each grayscale video frame are detected through two simple computational stages using global luminosity and local pixel direction. Pipeline implementation using results-sharing on overlap, application of a RAM-based shift register, and optimization of scan window sizes results in a small but high-performance implementation. The proposed system matches the processing speed requirement for a 60 fps system. The speed limit traffic sign recognition system achieves better than 98% accuracy in detection and recognition, even under difficult conditions such as rainy nights, and is implementable on the low-end, low-cost Xilinx Zynq automotive Z7020 FPGA.
The level of noise produced by machinery and its arrangement insides a factory is indicated to be a maximum of 96.1 dB(A). The maximum level of noise from a commoner's house outside the factory is shown to be 62.9 dB(A), which exceeds 60 dB(A), the permitted limit of noise level in a time period of day. us study has predicted the level of noise reduction according to a step by step prevention plan by considering the characteristics of the causes of noise, the permitted limit of noise levels, problems and economical efficiency attendant upon the noise prevention measures. Establishing target levels of noise each of the three steps of the noise prevention plan. The predicted level of noise at the place of a commoner's house in accordance with the first step is 50.0 - 59.0 dB(A), and can satisfy the permitted limit of noise in a time period of the day. In taking prevention measures for the second step, the noise level is 50.7 - 53.6 dB(A) which is less than 55 dB(A) in a time period of the evening, the permitted limit of noise in a time period of night., and it can meet 47.4 - 50.3 dB(A) in the third step.

In this paper, we develope a LOB(Limit Order Book) analyzing tool for an automated trading system, which features real-time and offline analysis of LOB data in conjunction with execution data. The 10-tier LOB data analyzer developed in this paper, which contains ask/bid prices and the execution data, receivs transaction requests in real-time from the Kiwoom Open API+ server. In the OnReceiveTrData event, the transaction data from the server is received and processed. The real-time data, triggered by the transaction, is received and processed in the OnReceiveRealData event. These two types of data are stored in a database and replayed in the same way as if it were a real-time situation in simulation mode. The LOB data are selectively read and analyzed in a necessary time points. The tool provides various features such as bar chart analysis and pattern analysis of the total shares on the bid side and ask side, which are used to develop a tool to accurately determine the timing of stock trading.
This paper presents a discrete-time version of voltage and current limited operation using an enhanced direct torque and flux control method for interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drives. A command voltage vector for airgap torque and stator flux regulation can be uniquely determined by the finite-settling-step direct torque and flux control (FSS-DTFC) algorithm under physical constraints. The proposed command voltage vector trajectories can be developed to achieve the maximum inverter voltage utilization for the discrete-time current limit (DTCL)-based FSS-DTFC. The algorithm can produce adequate results over a number of the potential secondary upsets found in the steady-state current limit (SSCL)-based DTFC. The fast changes in the torque and stator flux linkage improve the dynamic responses significantly over a wide constant-power operating region. The control strategy was evaluated on a 900W IPMSM in both simulations and experiments.
In order to predict stress intensity limit of high-temperature creep structures, creep work-time equation, defined as $W_ct^P=B$, was used, and the results of the equation were compared with isochronous stress-strain curve (ISSC) ones of ASME BPV NH Code. For this purpose, the creep strain tests with. time variations for commercial type 316 stainless steel were conducted with different stresses; 160 MPa, 150 MPa, 145 MPa, 140 MPa and 135 MPa at $593^{\circ}C$. The results of log $W_c$ and log t plots showed a good linear relation up to $10^5$ hr. The constants p, B and stress intensity limit values showed comparatively good agreement to those of ASME NH ISSC. It is believed that the relation can be simply obtained with only several short-term 1% strain data without ISSC which can be obtained by long-term creep data.
