  • Because of the rapid growth of Internet and multimedia applications, how to protect IPR (intellectual property rights) has become a critical issue. Is one of the ways to overcome the problem of the protection of IPR. Digital watermarking call be applied to multimedia data, such as digital images, digital video, and digital audio. In this paper, we propose a digital watermarking technique for digital images to authenticate an owner or an image by embedding visually recognizable patterns, such as logos, signatures, or stamps into images In BDCT (block discrete cosine transform) frequency domain. The proposed method sorts the components of an original image twice. At the same time, the method, also, rearranges the components of a watermark twice in order to be more robust, and finally embeds the watermark into the image. From the experimental results, the conjunction of three similarity measurements shows that our proposed method is robust to image cropping, image filtering, and JPEG (the Joint Photographic Experts Group) both subjectively and objectively.

  • In this paper, the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) based on ZigBee technology was devised and developed. Wireless communication was applied to petrochemical domain, like other industries. And sensor network of IEEE 802.15.4 protocol stack diagram was described. Then, by analyzing the protocol, the software systems included the communication Protocol and point-to-point network were implemented with Freescale Semiconductor's product MC13192-SARD DSK board. After that, the performance of this design system was evaluated, and finally, by using PC Graphic User Interface (GUI) and IDE CW08 V3.1 programming tool, the real time communication data and the curve function were displayed.

  • In this study, an effective echo-suppression and cancellation technique using reflectors in semi-anechoic chamber and time-domain measurement is proposed. By using the proposed technique, the uniformity of electric field in QZ(Quiet Zone) could be improved and the antenna test environments similar to the fully anechoic chamber could be accomplished. The performances of the proposed test environments is verified with the simulated and measured data. And it is demonstrated that this test environment is possible to use the measuring the radiational characteristics of a small antenna in VHF band.

  • Hydrodynamic analysis of a surface-piercing body with an open chamber was performed with incident regular waves and forced-heaving body motions. The floating body was simulated in the time domain using a 2D fully nonlinear numerical wave tank (NWT) technique based on potential theory. This paper focuses on the hydrodynamic behavior of the free surfaces inside the chamber for various input conditions, including a two-input system: both incident wave profiles and forced body velocities were implemented in order to calculate the maximum surface elevations for the respective inputs and evaluate their interactions. An appropriate equivalent linear or quadratic viscous damping coefficient, which was selected from experimental data, was employed on the free surface boundary inside the chamber to account for the viscous energy loss on the system. Then a comprehensive parametric study was performed to investigate the nonlinear behavior of the wave-body interaction.

  • The advantages of precast production are fast construction, reduction of labor and insurance of good quality. In recently, the application of the precast production is increased in the earth retaining wall field. This paper presents the results of the numerical modelling that was carried out to evaluate the stability of precast and prestressed earth retaining wall under dynamic train loading. The two-dimensional explicit dynamic finite element method (ABAQUS) was used to carry out the numerical analyses. The train loading to act track is calculated by using the real measured phase angle data. Mainly, the displacement and acceleration of wall structure in time domain analyzed to evaluate the stability under the dynamic train load.

  • Many new radar techniques have appeared on the electronic scene in recent years, such as a variety of automatic computer processing. However, even with the advent of these sophisticated radar techniques, an old problem continues to plague all radars: the problem of transmission line losses. With the higher performance required today, the Waveguide testing and trouble-shooting techniques remain essentially unchanged in principle. This paper dealt with the rf pulse "Time-domain Reflectometry" to inspect radar wave-guide system and compared with the conventional methods. During the investigation, it was verified that the pulsed TDR for wave-guide is superior to the conventional methods; 1. Disassembling is not needed to locate the discontinity points and measure the reflections of trobled points. 2. The results of the data are more precise. 3. The condition of individual component is able to the photographed and recorded permanently. 4. Since rf pulse TDR is based on the well-known basic radar principle, such a test set requires the minimum of training to operate. With the level of transmission line problems, the prospect of increasing complexity of equipment, and no relief in sight, the benifits must be emphasizied to adopt such a testing procedure.procedure.

  • The paper presents a multimedia educational program of DC servo drives for distant learning with a special emphasis on sliding mode control. The program contains of three parts: animation, simulation and internet based measurement. The animation program explains the operation of DC motors, gives its time- and frequency-domain equations, transfer functions and the theoretical background necessary for controller design for DC servo motors. The simulation model of the DC servo motor and the controller can be designed by the students based on the animation program. The students can also test their controllers through the internet based measurement, which is the most important part from engineering point of view. After the measurements are executed, the students can download the measured data and compare them to the simulation results.

  • It is well known that a discharge in oil is the source of various physical and chemical phenomena. One of them is ultra-sonic wave, and its detection is a useful method to the diagnosis of the transformer insulation condition. Conventionally, ultra-sonic waves are detected by Piezo-electric trans-ducer(PZT), and we use optical method that has many advantages. In this paper, we constructed a Mach-Zehnder interferometer with optical fiber and investigated the principle of operation. Test of the ultrasonic-detecting ability was performed for both of PZT and fiber-optic sensor. Discharge test arrangement is based on the needle-plane electrode system in oil and applied AC high voltage. Ultrasonic waves were detected and showed time-delay characteristics. We analyzed the data with frequency domain and wavelet transform.

  • The steam generator water level control system is studied as a class of randomly sampled nonlinear control systems. The sampling interval and the loop amplification factor are considered as random variables in order to take the operator behavior in account. Stochastic stability using Lyapunov method is used without determining such Lyapunov function. The derived stability criterion is verified with time-domain simulation using the data of CANDU type nuclear power plant, Wolsung 1.

  • This paper presents the identification of rotor dynamic parameters. The solution of the system equation can be obtained using least square method. The sensitivity analysis is performed to extract optimized solution, which is considered to be insensitive to inherent measurement errors. The cosine and sine term of orbit shapes can be obtain ed through the by experiment of the orbit analysis at a different speed after doing orbit analysis at an arbitrary selected speed. This values measured time domain are used to search the stiffness and damping coefficients of rotor bearing.
