  • This study is on the image of a woman's body exposure, expressed in various situations or images in the modern fashion. The results of this study can be summarized as the following. First, either the exposure or stress of a woman's specific body parts like breast, waist, hips, or legs which can be sensed totally different from man's or the ironic disclosure of body parts always lapped around emphasizes femininity by giving full play the unique sexual beauty of a woman's body. Second, the desire of disclosure to have others' attention with the concealment as suggestive exposure expresses the eroticism. The modified eroticism is found different from the conventional concept and is based on the desire to make others notice one's existence continually by the sexual exposure dress particularly to entire the other sex, the dismantlement of changing an underwear to an outer-dress, and so forth. Third, both exposure of a woman's sexual body parts and expression of exposure to the utmost by laying a woman's entire body bare can mean sex liberty in the laissez-faire generation. This may suggest a pleasure-oriented way of thinking of the self-consolation rather than showing others, or feature the personality and the liberty endowed women with.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the reduction of energy consumption and demand level for education relating to the reduction of energy consumption by middle school students. First, the perception of the reduction of energy consumption had a significant relationship with sex and grade. Second, the demand level for education relating to the reduction of energy consumption showed a significant relationship with only sex. Third, regression analysis on the influence of perception of the reduction of energy consumption showed a correlation between theperception of a reduction of energy consumption and the demand level for education relating to a reduction of energy consumption. The research suggests that students want an education that reduces energy consumption at school implemented during experience-centered and activity-centered discretionary activities, rather than duringtheory-centered curricular activities. It also suggests that overcoming limitations of space, that is, implementation of such education at various places besides school, and the application of teaching and teaming methods which use the internet and image media are more effective for education for the reduction of energy consumption.

To assess the children's social competency, questionaire developed by Lee Kyung Hee(1993) was used. The major findings of this study were as follows : 1) There was significant interaction between grade level and sex in children's locus of control. Significant difference was found in children's locus of control in terms of children's social status level. 2) Significant difference were found in children's social competency in terns of children's sex and social status level. 3) Children's social comtetency was positively related to the internal locus of control orientation. 4) The relation between children's internal-external locus of control and social competency for boys was greater than that for girls. The relation between children's locus of control and social competency was not influenced by children's grade level, but affected by children's social status level. • The purpose of this study was to examine children's self-regulation and their problem behavior according to family interaction types. The subjects were 227 children and their mothers, and 14 teachers in Jeonbuk. To obtain family interaction types, self-questionnaires of FACES III are given to mothers. Also, self-questionnaires of children's self-regulation and problem behavior were given to teachers. The data were analyzed by computing t-test, ANOVA, Duncan post test, and multiple liner regression. The results were as follows. First, There was a difference in the children's self regulation and problem behavior, but not in family cohesion and adaptability, according to the children's sex, age, and family variables. Second, it was found that there was a difference in self-regulation and problem behavior according to family interaction types. It showed that self-regulation was higher and problem behavior was lower in the most 'enmeshed' families in cohesion and the most 'chaotic' families in adaptability. Third, considering the relative strength of each variable on children's problem behavior, it was shown that children's sex and age had the greatest influence on problem behavior, followed by self-regulation and family's cohesion. In conclusion, it is suggested that the efforts to improve family cohesion as a psychological environment should be made in order to increase the children's self regulation and to decrease the children's problem behavior.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate characteristics of the defense mechanism of oriental medicine students by using Ewha Defense Mechanism Test(EDMT) preliminarily. Method: We described the characteristics of the defense mechanism of oriental medicine students and compared the scores of EDMT with standard group. We analysed the differences of defense mechanism by sex (male, female) and age($\leq$29 and $\geq$30 yrs old) within oriental medicine students. The score of EDMT were verified by examination of one sample t-test and unpaired t-test. Results and Conclusions: First, there was no Major Defense Mechanism in oriental medicine students. Second, oriental medicine students had more defensive, passive inclination and used Evasion and Show-off more frequently. Third, the differences within oriental medicine students depended on age rather than sex. The younger students used immature and neurotic defense mechanisms more frequently, and the older students had more defensive and passive inclination.
