  • The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching model to improve teaching demonstration competence of pre-service Fisheries and Marine teachers through class consulting. The results were as follows: First, the results of a survey on perception of 19 pre-service teachers showed that most of them did not know exactly about the teaching demonstration. Second, a teaching model through class consulting was developed in four stages: Preparation for class, doing lesson, watching lesson, reflecting class. Third, the developed lessons model was applied for 6 weeks, but it was hard to expect much change just for 6 weeks. If discussions about the content of the lesson plan are haven during prior class consulting, this will be helpful for pre-service teachers in making the real teaching plan. The class performer have to write a report on class analysis because it is necessary to try systematic analysis on teaching demonstration.

  • The objectives of the current study are on the practical use of geoboard in an elementary school class. To do this, we first investigate how come geoboard is significant in a practical use. Second, we present an example of practical use of geoboard connecting with the analysis of the 7th curriculum. Third, we investigate the results of geoboard which is applied to elementary school class. The results of this research are as follows: First, the instruction of using geoboard can give an interest and curiosity to all students. Second, right triangle, rectangle, square and so on can be easily constructed because geoboard is linked by dots. Third, by constructing figures on geoboard and comparing figures which is made by themselves, students could better understand the concept of figures rather than the explanation of teacher. fourth, students can be improved the ability of problem solving and spatial sense by providing experience for exploration. Fifth, students need not to have anxiety for error because geoband is used and so can be corrected easily.

  • In this study, the RDA DMP Common Standard (RDCS), a data model for implementing a machine actionable Data Management Plan (maDMP), was analyzed in four aspects. First, the twelve class models proposed by RDCS were analyzed. Second, whether the DMP attribute was included in the class attribute was analyzed. Third, we analyzed the namespace used for RDCS properties. Fourth, the values and identifiers used in RDCS properties were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, four directions for improvement were derived. First, it is necessary to add an academic record class to describe information such as papers and reports, which are representative academic documents. Second, the primary research institution, responsibility, resources, option attribute, and additional attributes are needed to describe the researcher's affiliation information. Third, it is necessary to additionally use a namespace such as Friend of a Friend that can be used universally. Fourth, the use of digital object identifier should be considered to identify academic literature.

  • The present study was undertaken in an attempt to see if the segregation frequency of a third chromosome was changed by changing the sex chromosome which were free of SD in the second chromosome. The eight genotype males having different sex chromosome constitution each were constructed by appropriate matings and the two standard laboratory stocks of Drosophila melanogaster, e and se were used as the third chromosome recessive markers for the present experiment. The results of the present investigation are given below: 1. The k values which are the proportion of the se third chromosomes recovered among progeny flies from the mating of se/e males to e females were highly signiicantly different among the four genotypes and between the two sexes, and the interaction of genotype and sex was significantly different. Thus the setregation frequency of the se third chromosome in the male, when made heterozygous with the e third chromosome, was dependent upon the sex chromosome constitution. 2. Both of the k(Woman) and the k(man) remains roughly constant among genotypes. 3. The sex ratio o the se progeny class was highly significantly heterogeneous among the four genotypes but it was homogeneous for the e progeny class. 4. The values of the k(man) and the sex ratio of the se progeny class, on the average, were higher than that of the k(Woman) and of the e progeny class, respectively. 5. Those phenomena suggest that some sort of prezygotic selection could be operating such that the combination of the e third chromosome and the Y chromosome tends to be eliminated before fertilization. This tendency argues for a re-examination of the viability estimations of Drosophila melanogaster.
