A subject always follows desire caused by primal lack which exceeds its desire on survival. At this time, the immediacy provided by vision and the excellence of information become important means in mediating the object of the desire. The subject who is attracted to the vision and image toward desire cannot get out of the trap of the image. When the film raised unconsciousness to pleasure while reproducing the desire of 'mirror image', the digital image presents a virtual experience on the desire of subject by dominating audience with its perfect image regardless of the existence of the object. This study attempted to prove that unconsciousness of subject has close relation with digital image, which takes other's desire as its own by wrongly identifying other's desire as its own desire and captivates subject by the experience of desiring. According to the result of study, digital image escalates the imaginary desire of subject through the virtuality of image close to reality and captivates subject by giving pleasure to the unconsciousness of subject as a path in going along with the desire of other.

The subject collects information and constructs the outside world mainly through the sense of sight, though he cannot help but always see things from the viewpoint of the self-aware ego. While we are able to access the unconscious of which the latent desire is reflected in involuntary images and dream images, the substance of desire cannot be easily accessed due to the censorship of the ego and the super-ego, which makes images of the unconscious nonlinear, and allows us to pursue fantasies for pleasure. The original human desire to record and express visual objects has come true with technological fulfillments, and furthermore, digital technology has realized visual pleasure and desire, through simulation. The images that the unconscious produces and the images that digital technology produces are a visualization of objects by the subject's desire, and the subject realizes his pleasure through a visual fantasy. This study, based on the mechanism of the unconscious and the formal stamps of digital images, explores the interrelationship between the unconscious and digital images, both of which seek pleasure and desire.

According to Jacques Lacan, human desire stems from a primitive lack, This lack acts as a driving force, propelling humans to continually seek pleasure and satisfaction. Given its intricacies, the interplay between the subject's and the overall human desire is intricate, making complete realization of desire unattainable. Through Jacques Lacan's theory of desire, the researcher aims to explore the balance achieved as the subject in the movie navigates ideals, frustrations, and growth. This paper focuses on the analysis of the movie 'Parasite' using Amedeo Giorgi's phenomenological method. By doing so, the researcher seeks to uncover the essence of human desire, offering insights and a theoretical framework for cinematic creation.

This study takes its point of departure from Lacanian psychoanalysis and explores the point that an irremediable gap in the human subject can be illuminated in terms of the Lacanian categories, fantasy, symptom, gaze or voice as cause of desire of the Other. With respect to the category of the symptom, Lacan claims that the Other is always already there in the constitution of the subject, that is, the relation of the subject to the Other that is overwhelming as well as attracting the subject. Chapter II deals with the unthought, excessive ground of the conscious that borders on the subject, as is the case of self-excentric aspect of the man. Indeed, in Lacan's early work, the subject is essentially a relationship to the Other as desire(objet petit a), and there is no such thing as a symptom or fantasy without some subjective involvement. Lacanian unknown real, perpetual excess as the cause of desire animates the subject even as it threatens to blast it apart. The structures that establish the lines of desire in every individual are derived from an ineluctably intersubjective field. The Other is always already there in the constitution of the subject. In the final years of Lacan's teaching we find a kind of universalization of the symptom and almost everything that is becomes in a way symptom. Symptom, embodied in Laura in "Goblin Market," is her only substance, the only positive support of her being. By looking at the Laura's symptom in chapter III we gain an insight into the forbidden domain, into a real space that should be left unseen and unthought. The voice of goblin men therefore functions as a sublime object that is animating as well as dominating element even as it threatens to disintegrate the subject. Objet petit a as a sublime object that must be excluded in reality returns in the real, taking on a certain materiality which has an effect on Laura, that is, animates Laura's desire. Objet petit a is a real object, signifying nothing. In conclusion, the theoretical importance of Lacanian psychoanalysis is the relation between a subject and an Other as Objet petit a.

This study is the subsequent full-scale research of a TV drama writer who has been out of scholarly pursuits as it explores Su-Hyeon Kim's underlying consciousness with focusing on her heroines, the and . The author Su-Hyeon Kim clearly distinguishes a TV melodrama from a TV home-drama by her own self-control, which is a rare case in TV drama genres, therefore, her consciousness lights up at her melodrama. This study applies Lacanian theory to the author's melodramas for examining the author's under-lying thought. For Lacan the subject is an 'alienated', 'privative', 'fractured' 'being' as an imperfect language, the symbolic order, forms the subject through its signification. The subject desires the other's desire, and wants to become an object for the other's desire. The desire constantly demands an integral world, a perfect love, the wholly harmonious imaginary order. And it lasts up as it refuses the symbolic order's imperfection while it works its unconscious fantasy. Lacan states that only the 'traversing the fantasy', 'separation' would give birth to the real, liberated subject. Despite a 20-years of rift within two works, the and have an identical conflict core, that is a subject's constitutive, fundamental privation and desire of a human being. Su-Hyeon Kim's underlying consciousness complies with her continued theses of an inquiry into the subject's real liberation and freedom when desire of the rings produces the subject's alienation, privation, and the pursuit of a impossible perfect love.

This study is based on the research of the first year, which is the National Research Foundation of Korea's R&D subject for middle-grade researchers. In this study, the practical curriculum development of the education for love - an according to the psychoanalytic perspectives of F. Dolto(1908-1988) - is suggested as follows. The first is 'the reconstruction of the directions of curriculum and its specific aims in accordance with such directions.' The reconstruction of the directions of curriculum aims at leading our future generation to live as a subject of desire through the mutual-communication of love. The second is 'the reconstruction of the tasks of curriculum and its specific contents in accordance with such tasks.' The reconstruction of the tasks of curriculum pursuit to help our future generation through the converting the education for love into the paradigm of desire of Agape to live as a subject of desire forming a whole personality and practicing the desire of Agape in daily life. as a source of desire. According to these aims, the reconstruction of directions of curriculum are presented as following: firstly, 'curriculum for the mutual-communication between subjects of love' and secondly, 'curriculum for the subject of desire'. The reconstruction of tasks of curriculum are like these: firstly, 'converting the education for love into the paradigm of desire of Agape', and secondly, 'forming a whole personality through the education for love'. Thus, with respect to two specific aims in accordance with the reconstruction of directions are suggested like these: Firstly, 'constructing a subject as a speaking existence' and secondly, 'realizing the subject as the autonomous source of desire'. In the two specific contents in accordance with the reconstruction of tasks are presented as following: Firstly, 'realizing the truth of the desire of Agape'.' Secondly, 'practicing the desire of Agape in daily life.' The third is 'the reconstruction of curriculum by life cycle' are suggested. They include the fetal life, infants and preschool children life, and childhood life. In further study, it is required to contain adolescent period. It will be useful to help them to recover their self-esteem with the experience of true love, especially, out-of-school young generation overcome negative perspectives and prejudice in the society, and challenges to their dreams and future through proper utilization of the study outcome. The outcome of this study, which presented practical curriculum development of the education for love based on the understanding of psychoanalytic 'desire of subject' can be used as basic teaching materials for our future generations. Furthermore, the results can be used as a resource for educating ministers and lay leaders in the religious world to build capabilities to heal their inner side as well as the society that is tainted with various forms of conflict. These include general conflicts, anger, pleasure and addiction, depression and suicide, violence and murder, etc. The study outcome can contribute to the prevention of antisocial incidents against humanity that have recently been occurring in our free-semester system implemented in all middle schools across the country to be operated effectively. For example, it is possible to provide the study results as lecture and teaching materials for 'character camp' (self-examination and self-esteem improvement training) and 'family healing camp' (solution of a communication gap between family members and love communication training), which help students participate in field trip activities and career exploration activities voluntarily, independently, and creatively. Ultimately, it can visibly present the convergent research performance by providing the study outcome as preliminary data for the development of lecture videos and materials including infant care and preschool education, parental education, family consultation education, and holistic healing education. Support from the religious world, including the central government and local governments, are urgently required in order for such educational possibilities to be fulfilled both in the society and the fields of church education and to be actively linked to follow-up studies.

The objective of this paper is to explore Jim's itinerary journey in terms of both Girald's concept of triangular desire and Derrida's concept of event. According to the Girard's mimetic desire theory, human being's desire is not spontaneous like Romanticism thought, but mimetic to the mediator between the subject and the object. Thus there is no romantic desire understood as one's own desire except mimetic desire. In this regard, mimetic desire is compatible with the conception of Derrida's thinking of an event that is resistant to its absolute singularity. Because both mimetic desire and event cannot be defined by the fact of each spatio-temporal specificity, they can not be understood by a traditional metaphysics of presence. In this paper, by using Girard's concept of mimetic desire theory, I showcase why the tragic journey of Jim's telos as a mythic quest for his romantic ego(ipse) cannot help but face his death and by using deconstructive thinking of iterability, this paper analyzes why Jim's romantic ego imitated by the mimetic desire through a mediator cannot be encountered happily with his ipseity until his end. As a victim of triangluar desire, Jim's romantic ego is nothing but a notion of an ipsiety that has been defined in terms of presence central to metaphysics. This paper also makes an attempt to re-interpret some articles contaminated with post-colonial perspectives from Derridean views with deconstructive rigorous reading to those papers to uncover an essential ground of presence.

Through Rene Girard's theory of triangle of the desire, this research investigates the mimetic nature of desire as shown in the main character of the movie The Servant. This paper analyzes the structural transformation of desire in the character, which is revealed by the process of reinterpretation via the medium change and convergence from Chunhyangjeon, a classic oral novel in Korea, to The Servant, a movie created by director Dae-woo Kim in 2010. The Servant is a meaningful research subject as the transformation of the inner desire of the character is accomplished by boldly designating Bangja, who is supposed to be a minor character, as the protagonist. In particular, Rene Girard's argument on the indirectness of desire in the theory of triangle of the desire helps understand the point where the character' inner desire, which naturally occurred in the existing narrative, transforms into the mimetic desire by an intermediary. This indirectness of the mimetic desire of the main character suggests a similarity with modern men's vanity which is offered by the capitalist era. Through this, the modern meaning of the mimetic aspect of desire as revealed by the transformation from the movie The Servant to Chunhyangjeon can be understood.

This paper has the aim to track down the viewers' cognitive emotion of how they are interacting with the story of Shakespeare in Love. Human minds have cognitive and emotional flows while plots, characters, and action-ideas are intertwined in the story of the film. This paper especially focused on the analysis of characters' networks with four statistical data pictures in order to schematize the storytelling architecture on how and why Shakespeare has strongly motivated to write a great star-crossed love play, Romeo and Juliet in his very young age. This paper examines that Shakespeare's subject of desire is to accomplish both a true love and a sincere play which can make the nature of love true. The desire of subject is always slipped aside into scattering with "object a." In the film of Shakespeare in Love, the "object a" is a writing process and has a product of Romeo and Juliet as well.

The "genderless fashion" style adopted by 20 to 30-year-olds in Korea cannot be ignored in the consumer fashion code. This study investigated self-images of Korean genderless fashion consumers through in-depth interviews. Interview analyses confirmed that Korean genderless fashion consumers express their self-image through clothing. As the theoretical framework, this study used Lacan's concept of desire to classify the types of self-image consumers want to express. The results are classified into three subject types: those who pursue self-fulfillment, those who pursue fulfillment from others, and those who pursue endless fulfillment through a self-image. This reflects various factors and the subjects' desires. Further, a subject's desire to present a specific self-image was an important factor in understanding the genderless fashion style. The study results revealed that modern fashion is an "unconscious" field of self-expression that crucially reflects individual desires. The study also contributes to the understanding of the concept of self-image at large.
