The Impact of Video Quality and Image Size on the Effectiveness of Online Video Advertising on YouTube

  • Online video advertising is now an increasingly important tool for marketers to reach and connect with their consumers. The purpose of this study was to empirically investigate the impact of video format on online video advertising. More specifically, this study aimed to explore whether online video quality and image size influences viewer responses toward online video advertising. By conducting an experimental study on YouTube, the results suggested that enhanced video quality of online advertising may have an important impact on effectiveness of the advertising, and the concept of presence is a key to understanding the effects of enhanced video quality in online advertising.

The Perceived Information Quality in Accounting Information System: Effects on Trust and Risk

  • This study discusses the results of an empirical study carried out to illustrate the key issues that need to be addressed to ensure accounting information quality (AIQ). The study also focuses on the factors of trust and risk as they impact the intention to use accounting information from accounting information systems(AIS). The factors that might impact on accounting information quality have been summarized from the existing literature on previous studies in this area. This study proposes a research model for key issues that have an impact on accounting information quality based on the literature. I use the empirical results of this study to discuss the key components of the research model.

모바일 숙박 앱(App)의 지각된 품질 요인이 PAD 이론을 통해 재이용 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Perceived Quality Factors of Mobile Accommodation Apps on Reuse Intention through the PAD Theory)

  • 정보통신의 발달로 온라인 시장 규모는 커지고 있으며, 그와 함께 스마트폰을 활용한 모바일 쇼핑 시장 또한 나날이 그 규모가 증가하고 있다. 즉, 모바일 앱의 효과적인 활용이 기업의 전략적 선택이 될 수 있음을 시사하는데, 이는 관광·여행 산업에서도 동일하게 나타나고 있다. 특히 플랫폼 기반의 OTA 산업의 지속적인 성장은 위드 코로나와 함께 가속화되고 있으며, 그 중요성에 본 연구도 모바일 숙박 앱의 지각된 품질 요인이 감정반응을 통해 재이용 의도에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 하였다. 가설검증을 위해 모바일 숙박앱 이용자 260명을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 정보 품질이 즐거움과 우세성, 서비스품질이 환기와 우세성에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 즐거움과 우세성이 재이용 의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구 결과는 모바일 숙박 앱 품질요인과 재이용 의도의 관계를 명확하게 하였으며, 앱 품질 개선방안을 위한 기초자료를 제공하여 효과적인 마케팅 전략을 제시하였다.

한식당의 서비스 품질이 고객만족과 경영성과에 미치는 영향 - 울산광역시를 중심으로 - (The Impact of Korean Restaurant Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction and Management Performance - Focused on Ulsan Metropolitan City -)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 한식의 세계화에 대해 정부, 학계 및 외식업계에서 많은 관심을 갖고 있는 이 시점에 외식업체 중 한식당을 대상으로 서비스 품질이 고객만족과 경영성과에 어떤 영향을 미치는가를 울산지역에 거주하고 있는 고객 188명을 대상으로 실증 분석하였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 통해 빈도분석, 요인 분석, 신뢰성 분석, 상관 분석, 다중회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과를 보면, 한식당의 서비스 품질은 3개의 요인으로, 고객만족과 경영성과는 1개 요인으로 추출되어졌으며, 서비스 품질과 고객만족, 경영성과간의 관계 분석에서 모두 정(+)의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한식당의 서비스 품질은 물리적 환경, 인적 서비스, 편리성 순으로 고객만족에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한식당의 서비스 품질은 인적 서비스, 물리적 환경 순으로 경영성과에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 한식당을 이용한 고객의 만족은 경영성과에 p<0.001로 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

TQM 특성이 서비스 회복 및 서비스 성과에 미치는 영향 - 외식산업을 중심으로 - (TQM Factors and Their Impact on Service Recovery and Service Performance - In restaurant settings -)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of TQM dimensions through service recovery justice on service quality and customer satisfaction. Methods: This study employed structural equation modeling methodology analyzing 265 samples collected. Results: This study found that TQM related factors had positive influence on service recovery justice in general. In specific, top management leadership and employee participation are the most important factors for the service recovery justice. Conclusion: This study reveals that service recovery justice has the positive impact on both service quality and customer satisfaction.

황해 및 동중국해의 수질예측과 응답성 평가 (Water Quality Modeling and Response Assessment in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea)

  • In order to evaluate and predict the environmental impact of the low-trophic-level ecosystem to environmental changes in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea, an ecological modelling study was undertaken. Simulation results of average distribution patterns and concentrations of water quality factors during the summer by the model were acceptable. Phytoplankton and remineralization rate of organic matter were very important parameters by a sensitivity analysis. Water quality factors showed high values in the estuary of the Yangtze River and in the West and South Sea of Korea and low values in the central area of the Yellow Sea. There is a plume of high values, especially nutrients, off the mouth of the Yangtze that expands or contracts with changes in the discharge strength. Characteristics of responses of water quality factors vary for different scenarios of environmental change, such as land-based pollution sources and atmospheric forcing. It is suggested that changes of light intensity, discharges of input sources, and wind play an important role in the marine ecosystem.

Service Quality Dimensions of E-retailing of Islamic Banks and Its Impact on Customer Satisfaction: An Empirical Investigation of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

  • The study aims to explore key dimensions of service quality of E-Retailing of Islamic banks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The convenience sample size consists of 373 respondents who regularly use online Islamic banking facilities in Saudi Arabia was used. For measuring the consumers' perspective, a four-factor E-SERVQUAL scale; namely efficiency, system availability, fulfillment, and privacy was used. Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis are used to test the model fitness. Structural equation modelling is utilized to determine the impact of E-service quality dimensions on customers' satisfaction. The results of the study reveal that 1) reliability as a dimension of E-retailing of Islamic banks made a significant impact on customers' overall satisfaction; 2) there is a positive significant relationship between responsiveness and customers' overall satisfaction. One unit increased in responsive leads to 0.763 unit increases in the overall satisfaction of the customer; and 3) ease of use is the most important dimensions of service quality of E-retailing of Islamic banks. One unit increases in Security/ Privacy leads to 0.473 unit increases in overall satisfaction. There is a positive impact of good E-service on customers' satisfaction, but it does not override unsatisfactory performance in other areas.

국내 제약 산업 수출지원서비스 품질이 기업의 수출 기대치에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Korean Pharmaceutical Export Supporting Program's Service Quality on Export Performance Expectation of Korean Pharmaceutical Companies)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between the service quality of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI), along with the utilization of and customer satisfaction with its export supporting program, and the export performance of Korean pharmaceutical companies. Methods: An online and offline survey was conducted on Korean pharmaceutical companies that have used the export supporting program provided by KHIDI. Data on the service quality of KHIDI, utilization of and customer satisfaction with the export supporting program, and company export performance were collected via survey. Results: Results indicated that systemizing and reliability service factors of the export supporting program have a significant impact on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction has a significant impact on utilization of the export supporting program. Furthermore, customer satisfaction and utilization of the program have a significant impact on company expectations regarding future export performance. Conclusions: As a result, service quality, utilization, and customer satisfaction were found to affect Korean pharmaceutical company's expectations regarding their future export performance. The results of this study can significantly impact the development of export supporting programs.

Effects of Family Functions in Multicultural Families on Quality of Life: The Mediating Effect of Parenting Attitudes

  • Purpose: This study aimed to enhance understanding of multicultural families in South Korea by examining the impact of family functions on their quality of life and exploring how parenting attitudes in multicultural families influence the relationship between family functions and quality of life. Research design, data and methodology: This study obtained a total of 124 valid surveys with the assistance of the Cheonan and Asan Multicultural Centers. Using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0, the study conducted frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, reliability and validity, and correlation analysis. To test hypotheses, the study conducted simple (multiple) regression and three-step mediation regression analysis. Results: The results revealed that family functions in multicultural families have a significant impact on parenting attitudes, and parenting attitudes have a significant impact on the quality of life. Additionally, except for autonomy and rational parenting attitudes, parenting attitudes were found to have partial mediating effects between family functions and the quality of life. Conclusions: It was empirically demonstrated that parenting attitudes, along with family functions, are crucial factors for improving the quality of life. The study suggests various methods at the levels of multicultural families, local communities, and the national level to enhance the quality of life in multicultural families.

The Impact of Corporate Governance on the Quality of Integrated Reporting: International Evidence

  • This paper aims to investigate the impact of corporate governance on the quality of integrated reporting. Corporate governance includes internal (board size, board independence, and board diversity) and external (audit quality and enforcement) governance factors. This paper develops an index to capture the quality of integrated reporting by employing the completeness of information required by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). For an international sample, the paper manually collects 160 integrated reports along with internal and external governance factors and employs multivariate analyses to examine the association between these governance factors and the quality of integrated reporting. The empirical results suggest that firms with a larger board of directors, a larger proportion of female members on board, and located in countries with enforcement for integrated reporting requirements have a higher quality of integrated reporting. Our conclusions still hold after accounting for several conditions, including the industry-fixed and year-fixed effects. Together, these results suggest that both internal and external governance factors are important determinants for the quality of integrating reporting. These results have several theoretical and practical implications as they fulfill the absence of relevant studies on addressing the impact of internal and external corporate governance factors on the quality of integrated reporting.
