욕구인식과 인지적 노력에 근거한 의류상품 비계획구매 의사결정과정 (The Decision Making Process of Unplanned Purchases of Clothing Based on Need Recognition and Cognitive Efforts)

  • Unplanned purchase is an unexpected buying behavior affected by product or marketing stimuli. Unplanned purchase does not follow the order of the rational decision making process. Through an in-depth interview, this study classified the types of unplanned purchase of clothing and examined the decision-making processes. The results (according to the need recognition level of consumers prior to stimuli) show three types of unplanned purchase of clothing products that are classified as: the need-manifesting type, the need-embodying type, and the need-reminding type. In addition, each type is reclassified into the high-cognition type and the low-cognition type according to the cognitive effort level of consumers during the purchase decision-making process. The need-manifesting type recognized a buying need after exposure to stimuli and then engaged in unplanned purchases. The need-embodying type recognized a problem, but the purchase intention was not concrete. The need-reminding type recognized a desire to buy clothing products, but temporarily forgot it, and then later remembered the problem recognition from the past after experiencing the stimuli.

한방화장품 소비자의 구매행동이 브랜드태도, 쇼핑만족 및 추천의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Purchasing Behavior on Brand Attitude, Shopping Satisfaction, and Recommendation of Herbal Cosmetics Consumer)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of purchasing behavior on brand attitude, shopping satisfaction, and recommendation of herbal cosmetics consumer. Through judgment sampling method, selected 304 survey questionnaires were used for final analysis from herbal cosmetics consumer. With the collected data, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were performed by SPSS 14.0. The results of the analysis were summarized as follows. First, level of education no significant difference on purchasing behavior, but age, marital status, average income, and job type showed significant difference on purchasing behavior. Second, level of education and average income no significant difference on brand attitude, shopping satisfaction, and recommendation, but age, marital status, and job type showed significant difference on brand attitude, shopping satisfaction, and recommendation. Third, the reasonable purchase, conformity purchase, and conspicuous purchase impacts positively(+) influence, but impulse purchase impacts negatively(+) influence on brand attitude. Fourth, the rational purchase and conspicuous purchase impacts positively(+) influence on shopping satisfaction. Fifth, the conformity purchase and conspicuous purchase impacts positively(+) influence on recommendation.

외모관심도, 화장품 브랜드원산지 및 판촉유형에 따른 남성화장품 구매행동 (Men's Cosmetics Purchasing Behavior Based on the Level of Interest in Appearance, the Country of Origin, and the Sales Promotion)

  • This research studied men's cosmetics purchasing behavior based on the level of interest one has in one's appearance, the country of origin, and the sales promotion of the cosmetics. The study was conducted by experimental $2{\times}[2{\times}2]$ design by combining the 3 variables mentioned above. The Independent variables in this research were levels of appearance interest(high vs. low), the country of origin(Korean vs. foreign), and types of sales promotion(discount vs. coupon). The dependent variables were the purchase behaviors including favor to cosmetics and purchase intent. Two hundred male consumers participated for the study. Data analysis conducted were factor analysis, cluster analysis and ANOVA. The results were as follows. 1. Male consumers' cosmetics favorness: 3-way significant interaction, in appearance interest, the country of origin, and types of sales promotion, was found for favor to male cosmetics. When male subjects were provided with price discounts and skin care coupons for the Korean cosmetics, they didn't reveal significant differences in favor, regardless of the level of appearance interest. However, for the imported cosmetics, male subjects with high appearance interest showed more favor to the cosmetics than the ones with low appearance interest. 2. Male consumers' purchase intent: 3-way significant interaction, in appearance interest, the country of origin, and types of sales promotion was found for the purchase intent. 의복구매효능감에 따른 의류제품평가의 차이 (Differences in the Evaluation of Clothing Products according to Self-Efficacy in Purchasing Clothes)

  • This study examines whether there are differences in the evaluation of clothing products according to self-efficacy in purchasing clothes. A total of 300 surveys were distributed and 231 were used for analysis. The data were analyzed by regression and factor analysis. The results are as follows. First, there were significant differences in the product attributes considered according to self-efficacy in purchasing clothes. The consumers with high self-efficacy considered diverse product attributes comprehensively when making purchase decisions and had significantly higher score in perceived value and post-purchase satisfaction level than the consumers with low self-efficacy. Second, there were differences in the attributes of clothing products that effects perceived value according to self-efficacy in purchasing clothes. The attributes of 'clothes that I like' and 'necessary clothes' had a significant effect on perceived value for both consumers. The attributes of 'design that suits me' and 'inexpensive price' had significant effect on perceived value on consumers with high self-efficacy while the attributes of 'harmony with other clothes' had a significant effect on perceived value for consumers with low self-efficacy. Third, there were differences in product attributes and the perceived value that influenced post-purchase satisfaction level according to self-efficacy in purchasing clothes. The attributes of 'design that suits me' and perceived value had a direct effect on the post-purchase satisfaction level four consumers with a high self-efficacy. For the consumers with low self- efficacy, the attributes of 'clothes I like', 'necessary clothes', and 'design similar to that of usually purchased products' had a direct effect on post-purchase satisfaction level; however, the effect of perceived value was not found.

구매종속성을 고려한 근사적 연속검토 재고모형 (Approximate Continuous Review Inventory Models with the Consideration of Purchase Dependence)

  • This paper introduces the existence of purchase dependence that was identified during the analysis of inventory operations practice at a sales agency of dealing with spare parts for ship engines and generators. Purchase dependence is an important factor in designing an inventory replenishment policy. However, it has remained mostly unaddressed. Purchase dependence is different from demand dependence. Purchase dependence deals with the purchase behavior of customers, whereas demand dependence deals with the relationship between item-demands. In order to deal with purchase dependence in inventory operations practice, this paper proposes (Q, r) models with the consideration of purchase dependence. Through a computer simulation experiment, this paper compares performance of the proposed (Q, r) models to that of a (Q, r) model ignoring purchase dependence. The simulation experiment is conducted for two cases : a case of using a lost sale cost and a case of using a service level. For a case of using a lost sale cost, this paper calculates an order quantity, Q and a reorder point, r using the iterative procedure. However, for a case of using a service level, it is not an easy task to find Q and r. The complexity stems from the interactions among inventory replenishment policies for items. Thus, this paper considers the genetic algorithm (GA) as an optimization method. The simulation results demonstrates that the proposed (Q, r) models incur less inventory operations cost (satisfies better service levels) than a (Q, r) model ignoring purchase dependence. As a result, the simulation results supports that it is important to consider purchase dependence in the inventory operations practice.

소비자의 인지적 자원이 한정 제품 구매의도에 미치는 영향: 인지적 종결욕구의 조절효과 (Effects of Cognitive Resource on the Purchase Intention of Scarcity Products: the Moderating Effect of Need for Cognitive Closure)

  • 본 연구는 소비자의 인저적 자원 소모 여부가 한정제품 구매의도에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보고자 한 연구로 개인의 인지 특성으로 인지적 종결욕구 변인을 적용하여 조절효과에 따른 차이를 살펴보고자 한다. 소비자의 인지적 자원은 많은 정보를 처리할 때 많이 소모되며 이를 확인하기 위해 소비자들이 많이 접하는 쇼핑환경을 적용하여 변인들 사이에 미치는 영향력 및 효과 차이를 확인하였다. 연구에서는 소비자의 인지적 자원 소모 수준에 따른 한정제품에 대한 행동적 차이를 살펴보고 이를 변인의 영향력에 있어 개인의 인지적 종결욕구 성향의 차이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 첫 번째, 인지적 자원 수준에 따른 한정제품 구매의도는 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 인지적 자원 수준이 고갈 되었을 때 보다 비고갈 되었을 때 한정제품에 대한 구매의도가 높게 나타났다. 두번째, 인지적 종결욕구의 조절효과에 따른 차이는 인지적 종결욕구가 낮을 때 한정제품 구매의도가 높게 나타났다. 실증분석 결과를 바탕으로 인구통계학적 변인인 성별, 연령, 소득에 따라 집단별 소비자들의 인지적 자원과 개인의 인지적 종결욕구가 가지고 있는 특성 및 요인들을 고려하여 제품 유형에 맞는 전략 등 상품 관리자에게 실무적 시사점을 제안한다.

소비자 자신감에 따른 의복구매행동 (Clothing Purchase Behavior according to Consumer Self-Confidence)

  • Even though self-confidence is a personal factor of a people, it works as behavioristic factor in consumer behavior. In this study, the influence of consumer self-confidence on clothing purchase behavior was investigated. A total of 284 data sets were analyzed after collecting questionnaires from college students in Seoul using convenient sampling method. For data analysis, chi-square test, analysis of variance, reliability test and factor analysis were performed by SPSSWIN program. The results were as followed. First, the clothing purchase places were affected by the consumers' level of self-confidence. The more confident consumers preferred internet shopping and Dongdaemun market to large-scale shops. The discount stores were selected by the less confident consumers. Second, information search was one of the main reasons to visit internet shopping mall by the more confident consumers. Third, the more confident consumers showed the higher level of clothing involvement than the less confident consumers. Finally, unplanned purchases, such as pure impulse buying and reminder buying were more likely to occur by the more confident consumers with less purchase conflicts.

대학생 소비자가 인지한 소비품목별 필요도와 구매경험률과의 관계 (The Perceived Needs and Purchase Experiences of College Students of Goods and Services)

  • The perceived needs and purchase experiences of college students in regard to goods and services and the relationship between the two variables were investigated. Data on 387 college studentswere analyzed to test the level of their perceived needs and purchase experiences of 43 goods and services. Results showed that respondents perceived cellular phones, going to movies and plays, books, entertainment and alcohol, which had been regarded as optional goods in the past, as highly necessary for their daily lives. On the other hand, 5 items that had been purchased by the highest number of respondents were food at restaurants, beverages at cafes, alcohol, movies and plays, and on-line avatars. The level of perceived necessity and purchase experience were positively correlated in general, although there were a few exception.

패션 명품(名品) 복제품(複製品) 소비자(消費者)의 위험지각(危險知覺)에 관(關)한 질적(質的) 연구(硏究) (I) - 지각(知覺)된 위험유형(危險類型)을 중심(中心)으로 - (A Qualitative Study on the Consumers' Risk Perception for the Counterfeit of Fashion luxury Brands (I) - Focused on Perceived Risk Types -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze consumers' perceived risk which is shown in the process of purchase phase and consumption phase for the counterfeits of fashion luxury brands and to analyze the interrelationship of each type of perceived risk. The research method of the study used a qualitative approach. 6 informants were selected and then an in-depth interview was held with them. Through this process the data on the perceived risk for counterfeits were collected and analyzed. The results of the study are as follows; The perceived level of psychological risk including counterfeits exposure was extremely high; besides, economic risk and performance risk were also perceived. On the contrary, the perceived level of social risk and fashionability loss were relatively low. The risk perception for counterfeits appeared not only on the purchase phase but also on the consumption phase, and when perceived risk existed on the consumption phase, it had an influence on the level of perceived risk on the next purchase phase. However the psychological risk was continuously perceived on both purchase and consumption phase, even if it did not exist on the consumption phase. Psychological risk, economic risk and performance risk were not independent but interdependent. Moreover, the entire level of perceived risk could be controlled by reducing the level of other perceived risks when a certain type of risk was highly perceived.

Middle-Aged of the British Women's Apparel Purchase Situation Analysis

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the middle-aged British women's apparel purchase behavior. The results of this study can be used to present the tendency of Korean middle-aged women's apparel purchase behavior when they become the old-aged by comparing and analyzing the British women's purchase behavior. We found that they prefer to choose and purchase their clothes by their own decision-making and search for actively the new brands for old age. Strong willingness was showed that their level of consumption amounts for clothing would be the same level between middle-aged and old-aged. It was also presented that they like to see a old-aged fashion model for fashion advertisement rather than a younger one and prefer to use the expression of 'mature' rather than a stereotypical expression such as a silver, gray and gold. The segmentation of fashion market by age can not be simply standardized. We expect that the propensity for clothing purchase behavior pattern of middle-aged women will not be changed and keep the same tendency by the time of their old-aged. We expect that this research results can be used as a basic material for another study and setting up the product developments and marketing strategies.
