It is real condition that Kangwon-do's number of closed school appears by many things thirdly in whole country and the post management countermeasure is urgent. Because this research chooses the closed school by way to solve the closed school problem that happen by the child of school age decrease the farming and fishing villages or small city and the shortage problem of old people's welfare facilities by population graying at the same time. There is the purpose to grope practical use the possibility of local closed school as welfare center for the old who stay at home present remodeling to welfare facilities for the old man. Keeping the structure condition of a closed school maximum, the welfare center for the old who stay at home by remodeling a closed school ultimately proposed.

According as the population has been having an advanced age, several problems which is due to the physical, spiritual, social and chronic diseases of the aged are occurred. And the necessity of domiciliary care or regional social facilities has come to offer a protection, care and medical services to them. Therefore, this study aims to represent the architectural data of a day-care center through comparative analysis with a foreign one, recognizing the necessity of the day-care center as a part of domiciliary care facilities As the method of this study, the concept and type of day-care services were founded with the operational realities. And the spatial composition of the present condition was investigated and analyzed.

The objectives of this study were to investigate the physical, chemical, and structural characteristics of the stream, especially Mugeo and Yeochon which are being changed to ecological stream by Ulsan city, and to acquire the considerations such as the planning element and plan criteria of the streams for making ecological stream system. Water quality, water quantity, vegetation, in stream structures and facilities, and land usage of the streams were investigated and the build up capabilities of ecological stream for the two streams were also analyzed. Planning elements for restoration to ecological stream included physical and biological purification methods in water quality, short term water acquire alternatives in water quantity, and vegetation recovery plan and improvement of habitation environment in ecological system, respectively. Planing elements in physical structures and facilities also included recovery of concrete levee and removal and recovery of covered channel.

The stronghold diffusion style method is resident participation style residential environment improvement plan that first of all, the general public constructs base facilities which the temporary occupancy public housings, commonness use facilities, roads, etc. And then with using the public housing of the stronghold sector, the resident oneself improves the house with independence or commonness. As a result induction of the voluntary participation of economic situation and the resident where the improvement will is reflected and introduction of versatile maintenance method through stronghold development with participation of the general public, this study tries to present the residential improvement method of diffusion style. San-Jun was selected in the subject of investigation area in stronghold diffusion style residential environmental improvement plan area. Investigation contents population register quality and quality of present house, the degree which is a house environmental improvement plan, about residential improvement the fact etc. Because unsatisfactorily in compliance with the deterioration and spatial narrow of the house, The above of half is an improvement intention. Hereafter residential improvement, According to the condition which is economic, residential improvement will change. The plan will be able to augment the economic enemy capability of the resident should grope and the residents oneself creates the environment will be able to improve the house. Also with creating, activating a resident organization, through autonomous decision-making process, the residential improvement could be advanced continuously.

With the increase in the demand for sustainable and environmentally-friendly development, Green Building Certification System came into force in 2002, Evaluation parts of Green Building Certification System are divided into land use and transportation, energy, ecological environment, and indoor environment. Alloted point for the part of energy is larger than other part, thus we can say that this part is very important to increase the green building performance. This study aims to analyze the present condition of design and construction for the part of energy in the certificated green school building. Total 40 certificated school buildings were selected and average scoring rate of each item was evaluated. Key particular to be considered were suggested to improve the item of energy consumption.

The government makes efforts to expand the recycling activities of construction waste soil and to increase the usage of recycled aggregate. Accordingly, it has defined the compulsory usage and quality standard by usage of recycled aggregate. To satisfy these efforts requires both technology to produce recycled aggregate which meets the required quality and companies with the technology. Therefore, it requires to review a current status of facilities at the companies which deal with construction wastes. The companies dealing with construction wastes gradually produce the high quality of recycled aggregate. In particular, companies which has over 3-stage processing system for waste concrete continue to increase and means to remove foreign substances are gradually improved.

The purpose of this study is to prepare the introduction of the community facilities in public corporation buildings as the effort to community activation in the innovation city. The type and development condition of community facilities, and the cases of the private and public corporation buildings are studied. Moreover, the type and scale of facilities which can be established in the public corporation building that will move to the innovation city. The result can be summarized as follows; First, the community facilities can be classified into leisure, public administration, culture, athletics, and welfare, and the facilities are suggested at each hierarchy of living area. Secondly, the result of the case study shows that the public corporation establishes and operates various facilities include welfare, culture, and athletic facilities while the private part usually installs the cultural one. Thirdly, cultural(library, museum, performing place), athletic(soccer field, tennis court, swimming pool), welfare(day nursery, children's library) facilities are selected as the applicable ones to the public corporation building which is going to move to the innovation city. And finally, the basic unit of each facility is derived based on the investigation of legal standard, present condition, and literature reviews, etc., and applied to estimate the scale of the community facility in the public corporation building.

The objective of this paper is to understand the present status of public library space management through research on the actual condition and obtain/indicate preliminary data on public library building program. For this purpose, questionnaires were sent to 524 public libraries in Korea, and 167 cases(31.87% of them) answered were analysed. It was revealed that insufficiency of space, services/facilities for information disadvantaged groups and services/facilities for community center and location requirements for libraries have a lot to be improved.

Surplus resources including workforce and space have occurred by the implementation of electronic government. In order to utilize these resources for welfare, culture, employment, and sports for all, the plan for merging closed dong offices is going on. Meanwhile, the demand for childcare facilities is increasing due to the growing number of working couples and small-scale families, but the government has underwent many budget problems in processes such as new construction and purchase of the land. In response, this study purposes to present measures to simultaneously solve the problems of expanding childcare facilities due to the current increase in demand for them and of closed dong offices due to their reduced role from the implementation of the e-government. As a method of research, a survey was conducted on the current status and actual condition of childcare facilities using closed dong offices, and the spatial compositions of the facilities were compared through J-graph based on spatial syntax. Through this method, the types of space generated by the use of the existing dong offices were derived, and the problems and directions for improvement were described.

Recently the concerns of aging & care according to the aged Society were on the increase about Home for the elderly facility. In order to moment, the purpose of this study is to analyze planning direction and Architectural Environments in medium and small scale Elderly Care Facilities. This survey are used to investigate with latest building data, which is Long-term Care Insurance Code for the Elderly was started on July 2008 in Korea. The results of this paper are as follows. First, various type of home for the elderly and the elderly group homes are spread out, attached to day care center type, nursing home type, city region type, countryside rural type, near the university and remodeling type. Secondly, per capita room area-$6.32m^2$ are sufficient in regal comparison with $6.6m^2$. Thirdly, Sunlight environments is inappropriate condition as south direction proportion-41.95%. According to the present situation various facility type and model for our baby boomers generation should be more developed with preemptive systems of senior welfare concept.
