대구지역 대학생의 영양섭취상태, 체형만족도, 체력상태 및 그 관련성 (Relations among Nutrient Intake, Body Image Satisfaction, and Physical Fitness of College Students in Taegu)

  • The aim of the present study was to evaluate the relations among nutrient intake. self body image and satisfaction, and physical fitness of college students in Taegu. A total of 213 apparently healthy college students living in Taegu were selected for the study. The following anthropometric measurements were made on all participants : weight, height: waist and hip circumferences, and bioimpedence. Using weight and height, the body mass index (kg/$m^2$) was calculated. The 24-hour recall were obtained from subjects. Dietary habits and energy expenditure were examined through questionnaires. Nutrients intake were analyzed by computer aided nutritional analysis program. Variables of Physical fitness were consisted of body fat, muscular strength and endurance, agility. power, flexibility, cardiorespiratory function, physical efficiency index(PEI). Data were analyzed by computer using the SAS 6.12(Statistical Analysis System). The mean heights and weights of these students were similar to those reported for the 50th percentile in a national survey. Nutrient intake of the college students in Taegu was considerably lower than RDA. The male subjects' mean intake of two nutrients, vitamin B$_2$ and calcium, were less than 55% of the RDAs. the female subjects' mean intake of two nutrients, iron and calcium, were less than 55% of the RDAs. A most variables of physical fitness except sit and reach in male students showed a significant higher values than those of female students. There was a significant positive relationship between PEI and the intake of animal protein, fat, Ca. and B$_2$ in male students. Also there was a significant positive relationship between exercise duration of PWC 170 and protein, fat, iron, vitamin A, B$_2$, niacin, and energy intake in female students. The muscular strength showed the significant correlation with weight, height, and waist circumference in male and female students. The cardiorespiratory function and Physical efficiency index showed significantly negative correlation with tricep and subscapular skin thickness in the female students. There were significantly positive correlations between WHR and body efficiency index in male students, and significantly positive correlations between WHR and the cardiorespiratory function in female students. There was no significant level of correlation between the degree of satisfaction of body image and physical efficiency index. However. there was a significant positive correlation between waist circumference (and weight) and physical efficiency index in male and female students and almost all of the surveyed male and female college students wanted less waist circumference or weight even though they were in the criteria of standard waist circumference or weight. In conclusion, a beneficial effect of adequate nutrient intake on physical fitness was found, college students must increase their energy and nutrient intake if it is below than the RDA for improving their physical fitness.

12주간 복합운동프로그램이 암 생존자의 신체기능과 피로도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of a 12-week Combined-Exercise Program on Physical Fitness and Fatigue for Cancer Survivors)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of a combined exercise program on the level of physical fitness and fatigue for cancer survivors. Methods: The subjects were all of 61 persons consisted of prostate cancer(n=22), breast cancer (n=20), and stomach cancer(n=19) survivors. The exercise program was composed of a wall exercise, a chair exercise, a towel exercise and a bottle exercise which lasted 50-60 minutes each, two times a week for 12 weeks. The outcome measures were the fat mass, the muscle mass, the grip strength, the sit and reach, the 6 minutes walk, & fatigue. Results: At the completion of the 12-week combined exercise program, there were statistically significant differences in the grip strength, the sit & reach, the 6 minutes walk, & fatigue for the prostate, breast, and stomach cancer survivors. But no significant differences were found in the muscle mass between the pretest and posttest. Conclusion: As the 12-week combined exercise program was proved to be an effective intervention for improving muscle strength, flexibility, cardiopulmonary fitness & fatigue, it is thought that the program can be utilized as a rehabilitation program for cancer survivors.

추세 반전형 패턴 인식을 이용한 주식 거래 (Trading Using Trend Reversal Pattern Recognition in the Korea Stock Market)

  • Although analysis of charts, which used in stock trading by distinguishing standardized patterns in the movements of stock prices, is simple and easy to use, there can be problems stemming from specific patterns being distinguished as a result of the subjective perspectives of analysts. In accordance with such problems, through the method of template pattern matching, 4 trend reversal patterns were designed and the fitness of the patterns were quantitatively measured. In cases when a stock is purchased when the template pattern fitness value is within a certain range and held for at least 20-days, the average return ratio was analyzed to be higher-with the difference being statistically significant-than the average return ratio attained from trading a stock according to the same method per the Efficient Market Hypothesis. From the results of stock trades of 2 domestic corporations to which the values of the 4 patterns had been applied based on the 4 strategies, it was possible to ascertain differences in the strategy- and pattern-dependent return ratios. Through this study, along with presenting the exceptions for the Efficient Market Hypothesis in stock trading, the fitness level of quantitative chart patterns was measured and the theoretical basis for application of such fitness level was proposed.

체력에 따른 그룹별 맞춤형 운동 프로그램이 노인의 지각된 건강 상태, 체력, 우울 및 인지기능에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Group Exercise Program Tailored by Physical Fitness on Perceived Health Status, Physical Strength, Depression and Cognitive Function of the Elderly)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of the tailored group exercise program on perceived health status, physical strength, depression and cognitive function in seniors. Methods: The subjects were 42 seniors of the experimental group and 28 seniors of the control group. The exercise program tailored by physical fitness was carried out for 16 weeks. The dependent variables were measured by Perceived Health Status Scale, The Senior Fitness Test, MMSE-K, and GDS-K. The collected data were analyzed by Fisher's exact test, Chi-square test and t-test, and ANCOVA using the SAS program. Results: In terms of physical strength and depression there was significant difference among groups. Perceived health status and cognitive function were not significant different among groups. Conclusion: In this study, the tailored exercise program was effective and safe for the elderly, and resulted in improving physical and psychological health status in the elderly. This demonstrated that the tailored group exercises program on the basis of the subject's fitness, played an essential role in maintaining and improving the health.

유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 낙동강 유역의 수질 측정망 설계에 관한 연구 (Design of a Water Quality Monitoring Network in the Nakdong River using the Genetic Algorithm)

  • This study proposes an integrated technique of Genetic Algorishim (GA) and Geographic Information System (GIS) for designing the water quality monitoring networks. To develop solution scheme of the integrated system, fitness functions are defined by the linear combination of five criteria which stand for the operation objectives of water quality monitoring stations. The criteria include representativeness of a river system, compliance with water quality standards, supervision of water use, surveillance of pollution sources and examination of water quality changes. The fitness level is obtained through calculations of the fitness functions and input data from GIS. To find the most appropriate parameters for the problems, the sensitivity analysis is performed for four parameters such as number of generations, population sizes, probability of crossover, and probability of mutation. Using the parameters resulted from the sensitivity analysis, the developed system proposed 110 water quality monitoring stations in the Nakdong River. This study demonstrates that the integrated technique of GA and GIS can be utilized as a decision supporting tool in optimized design for a water quality monitoring network.

BMI지수에 의한 신체유형별 신체만족도와 의복적합성에 관한 연구: 20~50대 여성을 중심으로 (A Study on Body Satisfaction and Fitness Apparel Based on Body Type by Body Mass Index: In Women 20-50's Years of Age)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify body type by BMI and to inquire about body satisfaction and fitness apparel depending on body type among women 20-50years of age. As a result, body types are classified into three groups: lean, normal, and obese figures. On front silhouette, the normal type occupies most in women belonged to lean figure group, the obese lower part of the bodytype in normal figure group, and the obese upper part of the body type in obese figure group. On the other, in side silhouette, the slender type is prevalent in lean figure group, hip obesity in normal figure group, and trunk obesity in obese figure group. In particular, women in the obese figure group were distributed among the various body types. The obese figure group had a lower fitness apparel in the measurement of circumference(e.g., chest, waist, and hip) related to obesity in comparison with measurement of length. Therefore, the development of an optimal sizing system in response to the various body types in the obese figure group is needed to provide more diversity in aesthetic design and continuity among various sizing systems.

수치 실험을 통한 조선 강판 전용 Nesting Algorithm의 적합도 함수의 결정 (Determination of Nesting Algorithm Fitness Function through Various Numerical Experiments)

  • In this paper, a research on the composition of the nesting algorithm fitness function is carried out by performing various numerical experiments to inspect how it affects the scrap efficiency, allocation characteristics, and time consumption, targeting the nesting results of ship parts. This paper specifically concentrates on a method to minimize the scrap ratio and efficiently use the well-defined remnants of a raw plate after the nesting process for the remnant nesting. Therefore, experiments for various ship parts are carried out with the weighting factor method, one of the multi-objective optimum design methods. Using various weighting factor sets, the nesting results are evaluated in accordance with the above purposes and compared with each set for each ship part groups. Consequently, it is suggested that the nesting algorithm fitness function should be constructed differently depending on the characteristics of the parts and the needs of the users.

노인의 체육활동 참여 만족이 부양기대감 및 가족기능에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of the satisfaction of the elderly with their participation in fitness on the expectation of support and family function)

  • 급속한 노인인구의 증가로 고령화 현상은 사회적 문제로 등장하였다. 특히 전통사회의 노인 부양체제가 흔들리면서 노인 부양문제는 심각한 노인문제 중의 하나로 인식되기 시작하였다. 이러한 노인 부양문제는 노인 개인의 문제가 아닌 사회, 가족의 역할이 더욱 커지면서 그 문제의 심각성이 대두되고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 본 연구는 노인이 체육활동을 참여하면서 얻은 만족요인에 따라 가족기능과 부양 기대감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 규명하여, 보다 발전적인 정책수립에 기초 자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 대상은 서울, 경기지역의 노인 복지시설 6곳을 모집단으로 선정하였으며, 편의표본추출법(convenience sampling method)을 이용하여 표본을 추출하였다. 연구자와 대학원생으로 구성된 설문조사원들이 노인 복지시설을 직접 방문하여 설문지를 이용, 일대일 면접법을 통하여 217부의 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSSWIN Ver. 12.0 과 AMOS 7.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 단순 및 다중회귀분석, 경로분석을 하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인의 체육활동 참여만족 중 전반적 만족, 프로그램 만족, 서비스만족이 가족기능에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 노인의 체육활동 참여 만족이 부양기대감에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 노인의 체육활동 참여만족이 가족기능 및 부양기대감과에 미치는 효과를 분석한 결과 노인의 체육활동 만족이 가족응집성에 .162의 직접적인 효과를 미쳤으며, 참여만족이 가족적응성에 .239의 직접적인 효과를 미쳤다. 끝으로 체육활동 참여만족이 부양기대감에 .032의 간접적인 효과를, .722의 직접적인 효과를 미쳤다.

위드코로나 정책이 온라인 피트니스 콘텐츠의 시청자 참여도에 미치는 영향에 대한 실증 연구 (Empirical Research on the Causal Effect of Implementation of "With-COVID19" Policy on the Viewer Engagement of Online Fitness Contents)

  • 2020년 시작된 코로나19 팬데믹으로 인하여 많은 국가에서 사회적 거리두기 정책을 실시하였고 그로 말미암아 물리적인 제한에 구애 받지 않는 온라인 피트니스 산업이 큰 성장을 하였다. 그러나 사회적 거리두기 정책이 경제에 부정적인 영향을 미친다고 판단한 우리나라 정부는 2021년 11월 1일 위드코로나 정책을 시행하면서 팬데믹 이전의 일상으로의 회복을 선언하였고, 이에 따라 온라인 피트니스 산업의 성장 동력의 손실에 대한 우려가 제기되었다. 본 연구는 위드코로나 정책의 시행이 온라인 피트니스 콘텐츠 소비 및 참여도에 어떠한 변화를 가져왔는지 준실험 설계를 활용하여 파악하였다. YouTube의 온라인 피트니스 콘텐츠를 활용하여 분석한 결과, 위드코로나 정책 시행 감소했을 것이라는 우려와는 달리 온라인 피트니스 콘텐츠의 시청 지표는 오히려 약 21% 증가한 양상이 나타났다. 하지만 이러한 양상은 운동 종목의 기회 비용에 따라 다르게 나타났으며, 부분 집단 분석을 통해서 고비용 집단의 온라인 콘텐츠의 시청 지표만이 약 32%로 저비용 집단에 비해서 더 큰 폭으로 증가한 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 분석 결과를 토대로 온라인 피트니스 콘텐츠의 성격과 강점을 파악하였으며 온라인 피트니스 플랫폼 비즈니스와 콘텐츠 제작자들에게 실무적인 제언을 제공하면서 포스트-코로나 시기의 "뉴노멀"에 적응할 수 있는 새로운 시사점을 제시하였다.

파킨슨병 맞춤운동프로그램의 개발 및 신체기능에 대한 효과 (The Development and Effect of a Tailored Exercise Program on Physical Fitness in Patients with Parkinson's Disease)

  • Purpose: To develop & to examine the effect of a Tailored Exercise Program (TEP) on physical fitness in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Method: In a two-group pre-and post-test design, from a total 41 participants. 21 were assigned th the experimental group find the remainder to the control group. The experimental group participated in a 4-day a week, 8 week program in which one session a week was by direct instruction with the self-help group and two sessions a week were by videotaped instruction at home by themselves. The control group did not receive any intervention. Results: The eight week TEP in patients with PD was found to be significantly effective in enhancing muscle strength, ankle flexibility, and balance. However instrumental activities of daily living was not changed by the intervention. Conclusion: These results suggest that TEP can have an effect on physical fitness in patients with PD. Further research with a larger sample and for a longer follow up period is needed to expand our understanding of the effects of TEP for patients with PD.
