현장조사를 통한 철도 고가교 구조물의 내구성 평가 및 결함 패턴 분석 (Durability Evaluation and Defect Pattern Analysis in Railway Bridge Through Field Investigation)

  • 설계시의 결함, 사용 중의 손상, 극한 환경에 장기간 노출에 따른 열화로 인해, 콘크리트 구조물의 성능은 감소된다. 본 논문은 8개 구역을 가진 대도시 철도 고가교에 대한 현장조사를 수행하고 내구성 평가를 수행한 연구이다. 대상 구조물에 대하여, 현장조사를 수행하여 내구성능을 평가하였으며, 사용상의 문제점을 도출하였다. 또한 내구지수-환경지수 산정법을 이용하여 현 상태의 상부구조 및 하부구조에 대한 내구성 확보기간을 평가하였으며, 이상적인 준공상태를 가정한 조건으로 도출된 내구성 확보기간과 비교하였다. 대상 구조물은 RC T형교, PSC 거더교, RC 박스교, 라멘교 등이 포함되어 있었으며, 각 구조형식에 따른 문제점을 분석하였다. PSC 거더의 단부균열, PSC 거더의 휨균열, 외부강선보강 정착부 균열, RC 박스의 휨균열, RC T형교의 휨균열을 주된 문제점으로 평가되었으며, 이를 패턴화하여 원인을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 각 구간의 열화에 따른 보수시기의 계획에 효과적인 자료로 사용되어질 수 있다.

근골격계 유해요인 조사 보고서 검토를 통한 조사 방법 및 제도 개선 방안 (The Improvement of Investigation Method and System through the Review of Musculoskeletal Risk Factor Investigation Reports)

  • Objective: The objective of this study was to suggest improvement methods for investigations and systems through a review of musculoskeletal risk factor investigation reports conducted in the workplace. Methods: A total of 34 reports on musculoskeletal risk factor investigations were reviewed. To confirm the appropriateness of the evaluation, reevaluation was conducted through a field investigation using other evaluation tools. In order to understand the effectiveness of the improvement plan, a survey was conducted with those in charge of tasks with ergonomic burdens. Results: As a result of performing a field survey using the work sampling method recommended by the KOSHA (Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency) for ten tasks, eight tasks were determined to pose an ergonomic burden. When 30 tasks were evaluated with RULA (rapid entire body assessment), 90% of them were evaluated at a higher level than the results of the workplace survey. Among the improvement measures, only 36% of the field workers affirmed them, and in only 19% of the workplaces were actual improvements made. Conclusions: In order to improve the ergonomic investigation system for risk factors in the ergonomic burden task, it is necessary to secure the objectivity of the evaluation performed by the institution and enable the active participation of workers in improvement activities.

GIS를 이용한 사면위험도 작성기법 연구 (A Study on the Creation of Slope Instability Map Using Geographic Information Systems.)

  • The various types of geohazards like landslides resulted from civil construction (i.e. highway construction) must of analysed considering all the possible influential factor systematically. Thus, by using GIS, slope stability can be evaluated, and it can be used as a data for further detailed investigation. So the aim of this study is to present a data for decision making in selecting suitable point for remediation. For analysing slope instability, through appropriate definition and classification, landslide mechanism must be understood. In building GIS model, the selection of appropriate factors and their rating system should be made. For this, the characteristics and the mechanism of landslide have to be understood. And suitable coverage should be chosen for the model considering the slope conditions. In this study, field investigation in lst and 2nd Section, Chung-ang highway was carried out. From the field data, GIS model on slope instability was created. 5 coverages were used for it. From the result of this study, 12 unstable sections were found out and more detailed investigation is needed there.

Laboratory investigation of the effects of translation on the near-ground tornado flow field

  • Translation of tornadoes is an important feature in replicating the near-ground tornado flow field which has been simulated in previous studies based on Ward-type tornado simulators using relative motion of the ground plane. In this laboratory investigation, effects of translation on the near-ground tornado flow field were studied using the ISU Tornado Simulator that can physically translate over a ground plane. Two translation speeds, 0.15 m/s and 0.50 m/s, that scale up to those corresponding to slowly-moving tornadoes in the field were selected for this study. Compared with the flow field of a stationary tornado, the simulated tornado with translation had an influence on the spatial distribution and magnitude of the horizontal velocities, early reversal of the radial inflow, and expansion of the core radius. Maximum horizontal velocities were observed to occur behind the center of the translating tornado and on the right side of its mean path. An increase in translation speed, resulted in reduction of maximum horizontal velocities at all heights. Comparison of the results with previous studies that used relative motion of the ground plane for simulating translating tornadoes, showed that translation has similar effects on the flow field at smaller radial distances (~2 core radius), but different effects at larger radial distances (~4 core radius). Further, it showed that the effect of translation on velocity profiles is noticeable at and above an elevation of ~0.6 core radius, unlike those in studies based on the relative motion of the ground plane.

Geotechnical field investigation on giresun hazelnut licenced warehause and spot exchange

  • This paper describes a geotechnical field investigation in Giresun hazelnut licenced warehause and spot exchange during twelve months to determine the soil profile and static project applicability. It is also aimed to determine the superstructure loads and evaluate the relevance of foundation filling materials of the main, laboratory, package and admin buildings. The main building has $88.50{\times}63.20(5593.2)m^2$ site area. It has a big raft foundation. Eleven geotechnical reports were prepared between 2 December 2014 and 25 May 2015. Maximum settlements and safe bearing capacities were calculated to decide to be able to proceed to the next step. Also, the detail observations and evaluations were presented from October 2014 to December 2014. It has been seen that the foundation is designed as a single foundation one. But, in the light of observations, it has been evaluated that the foundation project for package building is not adequate, and after these excavations it must be revised as a raft foundation. The thickness of foundation and structural details should be defined/drawn after analyzing the details by using a special software. Construction joints should be designed between different buildings interfaces to avoid damages and cracks with in different settlements. The environmental drainage must be projected and applied to avoid the probable damage of surface waters on foundations.

  • Recently, the use of information and communication technology (ICT) has advanced activities in the field of policing, such as police training, crime investigation, and on-site response equipment enhancement. In this paper, we examine how to use immersion technology in the field of policing. Currently, AR/VR technology is mainly used for police education, training, and criminal investigation, and other cases of its use are rare. To use AR/VR technology in a wider range of applications, it is necessary to look at how it can be used in major police activities (e.g., patrol, investigation, and arrest activities).

  • A defect dispute surrounding an apartment building is in constant trouble, a defect consulting is necessary that objective and impartial for solving a defect. The defect dispute about a defect lawsuit is conducted in the order that filling of lawsuit, consulting order, defect inspecting, estimating a repairing cost, writing a consulting report, submitting a consulting report, and decision by court. Of these, a step of defect inspecting is extensively investigated an occurred defect that each defect index and type from each part and place. At this time, it is collected of many data and created many information. For this, it need to organize and manage. The study is a modeling of field investigation work process that second phase of defect inspecting step. A literature study is defined a work until level 2. This study is defined the work until level 3 to 4. In addition, the modeling can do for using a job name, a place to job, a job to do, and a person concerned about defect consulting case. The modeling is expected a contribution of improving a defect consulting process and systematizing a judgment standard.

해양사고 조사매뉴얼의 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Investigation Manuals of Marine Accidents)

  • 우리나라 해양사고 조사매뉴얼은 국제적인 해양사고 조사지침과 코드 등을 수용하지 못하여 국제 기준과 절차 및 흐름에 뒤떨어져 있고, 새로운 시대와 여건에 맞는 독자적인 조사매뉴얼이 없는 실정이다. 이 연구에서는 한국과 일본 및 미국 해양사고 조사기관의 조사 매뉴얼을 비교ㆍ분석하여 우리나라 조사매뉴얼의 문제점을 도출하고, 우리 실정에 맞는 새로운 조사매뉴얼의 제정 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Axial magnetic field generated by special electrode construction in vacuum interrupters is used to extinguish electric plasma arcs. This investigation by FDM should prove to what extent the magnetic field might influence on the arc expansion. The calculated results show that the stronger magnetic field induced the lesser radius of arc plasma. This study will help to offer good data in design of vacuum interrupters.

항공사고조사위원회의 업무개선에 대한 제언 (Suggestions for the Improvement of Aviation and Railway Accident Investigation Board in Korean)

  • ICAO Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme is a comprehensive evaluation for aviation safety matters, including aircraft operation, licensing and aircraft incident/accident investigation. As this programme is measures aviation safety level of States, there is a need to meet international standards, especially in the field of aircraft incident/accident investigation. This research discusses points required to satisfy international standards, which are independence and autonomy of an accident investigation board, the lack of the enough number of investigators and efficient management of those personnel, the effective composition and use of an investigation report, an accident investigation itself to build big data and the creation of a cooperation system among States. This paper suggests various opinions in order to enhance aviation safety especially through aircraft accident investigations, using case studies from the US, UK and Japan.
