청소년의 주체형성을 위한 환경요소들에 관한 종합적 연구 (Synthetic Study on Environmental Factors for the Identity Formation of Adolescents)

  • This study investigated the integrated effects of family, school, internet, and mass culture factors on the identity formation of adolescents. Specifically, the purposes of this study were to categorize adolescents into groups by what they do during the time except the life in school and to investigate differences among the groups regarding the identity information(body image, self-esteem, self-identity) and the influences of environmental factors on identity formation of adolescent. The study distributed questionnaires to middle and high school adolescents of five representative cities in South Korea. The total respondents were 2240(960 from Seoul/Kyongki, and 320 each from Taegu, Pusan, Kwangju, and Taejon). The response rate was 98.7%. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, and multiple regression. The results showed that Korean adolescents were segmented into five groups : TV preference group, computer preference group, friends and family involvement group, homework and study preference group, and study institute involvement group). The five groups were significantly different in regard to body image pursuit, self-esteem, and self-identity. The body image pursuit, self-esteem, and self-identity of adolescents were significantly different in regard to each environmental factors, in each adolescent group.

와인 장식장 디자인 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Wine Cabinet Design)

  • As wine culture becomes popular among the people in modem society, the consumption of wine has increased due to the need to enjoy wine at home. Nonetheless, the development of wine cabinet has not made much progress. In order to compensate such matter, a wine cabinet that satisfies the taste of new generation as well as the need demanded in the modem living space is transcended its simple and solemn image embedded in wooden colored form, which is often found in existing products. First of all, the definition, kind, bottles, and glasses of wine are examined and then a cabinet is developed depending on the design process. The body of the wine cabinet is finished with black lacquer after attaching ash-patterned veneer on MDF and the front plate of the drawer is finished with the colors displayed in Mondrian's painting on MDF. The upper part is designed to store wine glasses and below the wine rack is the space for wine storage considering the overall shape. The storage at the lower part is equipped with drawers of different sizes to emphasize practicability. In conclusion, such a unique design is believed to introduce the importance of design to the domestic furniture market being a foundation for the furniture industry.

김치 소비 패턴 및 기능성 김치에 관한 소비자 인식 (A Study on Kimchi Consumption Pattern and Consumer's Perception about the Functional Kimchi in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do Areas)

  • This study is conducted to investigate to the consumption pattern of Kimchi and perception about the functional Kimchi of consumer. The survey was done between October 1 to October 15, 2011 among 294 male and female adults aged 19 and over in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do areas. The gender distribution of subjects was 33.3% males and 66.7% females. 64.3% of subjects prepared Kimchi by themselves, 23.5% of subjects received Kimchi from relatives and 12.2% of subjects purchased Kimchi from the market. In addition, the rate of preparing Kimchi at home is highest in those aged fifty or over. Only 41.8% of subjects knew how to make Kimchi. 72.1% of subjects responded that they ate Kimchi one or more a day. 46.6% of subjects have purchased commercial Chinese cabbage Kimchi. The amount of one-time purchase of commercial Kimchi were investigated; 45.2% of subjects have been buying 500-1 kg, 34.4% of the subjects bought less than 500 g, and 11.2% of subjects bought 1-3 kg. 28.2% of subjects buy Kimchi at the supermarket and warehouse market. With regard to the evaluation of Kimchi taste, most consumers were not satisfied with the sweetness of Kimchi. In this result, the perception about functional Kimchi was very low. Consumer's demands were as follows: nutrient enhancement, strengthening of biologically active substances, lactic acid bacteria enhancement in order. Small sales units were preferred by the consumers, and complementation of sweetness of kimchi was required. Various Kimchi including functional Kimchi must be developed to meet the needs of consumers.

동중국해권 민가의 성역(聖域)에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sanctuary of the Residence in East China Sea Skirts Area)

  • 우리나라 제주도에는 바다를 통해 전달된 수평적 신화가 널리 분포하고, 가족 내에서 여성의 사회적 지위가 상대적으로 높고, 민가 역시 한반도 민가와 건물배치, 난방 취사 분리, 거주유형 등에서 확연한 차이를 보여, 민가형성에 북방문화 외에 다른 문화의 전래도 있었음을 짐작할 수 있다. 이러한 의문을 해결하기 위해서 한반도의 남해안과 제주도 이남에 펼쳐진 동중국해(혹은 동지나해)에 접한 민가를 비교하였다. 쿠로시오가 흐르고 계절풍이 부는 동중국해 지역에는 대륙의 북방문화뿐만 아니라 단속적이지만 바다를 통한 남방문화가 복합화되어 이곳 주문화권만의 특색을 이루었다. 이에 가신들이 좌정하는 성역을 통해 동중국해 민가에 나타나는 남방문화의 특성을 살펴보았다. 첫째, 동중국해 지역에는 해양과 관련된 수평적 신화가 주류를 이루고, 척박한 자연화경으로 반농반어 반농반채 등 이중적 생계수단을 지닌다. 가족구성은 전체적으로 모계 쌍계사회의 특성이 강한 연령계제제의 남방계 특성이 잔존하면서도, 외부적으로 대륙북방계에 원류를 두고 있는 가부장권의 특성이 상류계층과 도시에 나타나는 이중체계를 유지한다. 그래서 주택구조는 종적위계 남녀구별의 수직적 공간구성 대신에 세대별 기능별에 따른 수평적 공간구성을 이룬다. 둘째, 동중국해 지역은 정령신앙 조상숭배를 기반으로 한 토속신앙으로 가신들은 여성 농경 불과 관련성이 깊다. 부엌에서는 화신(조왕신), 곡창에서는 곡령신, 측간에서는 측신을 섬겼는데, 이들은 대부분 여신이고 사제도 주부들이 담당하였다. 이후 한 중 일 본토에서 불교 유교가 들어오면서 기존 여성중심의 무속의례에 남성중심의 불교 유교의례가 공존하는 이중적 성역을 이룬다. 셋째, 동중국해 지역에서 조왕신, 조령신, 측신들을 모시는 곳을 통해 별동형 부엌, 곡창, 돼지뒷간 등이 별동으로 존재했다가 점차 주택내로 흡수되는 것을 알 수 있고, 이는 건축기술의 발달과 생활양식 변화에 연유하였다. 또 곡창 돼지 뒷간의 고상식은 중국남부 경로와 별동형 부엌과 화신의 성격은 남양 경로와 관련이 있는 등 해양문화의 혼합성이 나타난다. 그러나 별동형 부엌 곡창 돼지 뒷간에 석재의 사용은 동중국해권 주문화권만의 특징이라고 하겠다.

A Trend Analysis on the Research of Clothing Construction in Korea - for the recent ten years ($1996{\sim}2005$) -

  • The purpose of this research is to propose the scientific and rational establishment of research projects and directions for research by analyzing the research trends on clothing construction. The 689 papers in the field of clothing construction are selected among 5433 papers published within the recent ten years (1996-2005) in Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association, Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, Journal of the Korean society of costumes, Research Journal of the Costume Culture, Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing Industry and Journal of Fashion Business. The trend of researches on clothing construction is analyzed by classifying the topics by design, body type, pattern, size of apparel, fitting of clothing, protective clothing and functional clothing, and the others, and the results are as follows. The frequency order of the studies in the field of clothing construction is body type (32%) > pattern (24%) > size of apparel (13%) > protective clothing and functional clothing (10%) > the others (8%) > design-related clothing construction (6%) > fitting of clothing (4%) > sewing (3%). The major areas of research are body types, pattern, and sizes resulting from them. Most of researches are focused on women, and researches on men are relatively lacking. In addition to the deficiency of men-related research, Moreover, researches on characteristics of body types and on corresponding sizes of consumers in the target countries of export are necessary when the reality of Korean clothing and fashion industry that depends more on foreign demand than domestic demand is considered. For production of segmented and specialized results from clothing construction research, related tools such as CAD, 3D shape systems and dress form should be developed and utilized to contribute to precision of research results.

맞벌이 기혼남성의 일-가정 균형의 주관적 인식 및 갈등정도와 가정의 건강성 인식 (A Study on the subjective cognition and conflict degree of work-family balance and family strength of a dual career men)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effective factors that influence subjective cognition, conflict degree of work-family balance, and cognition of family strength according to general characteristic factors, working environmental factors, and home environmental factors, as well as analyze the relationships among subjective cognition, conflict degree, and cognition of family strength. The main data source for analysis in this study is the Second National Survey of Korean Families by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2010. The survey includes the analysis of 419 respondents who have a dual income and live with their wife. The collected data are analyzed using SPSS 19.0. The results of the study are as follows. First, subjective cognition of work-family balance is influenced by satisfaction of work, division of housework, and care of family. Second, the conflict degree of work-family balance is influenced by age, working week, and satisfaction with work. Third, the relationship between subjective cognition and conflict degree of work-family balance is a negative correlation. The relationship between subjective cognition of work-family balance and cognition of family strength is a positive correlation but the difference between conflict degree of work-family balance and cognition of family strength is not significant. Finally, for the married men, the working environmental factor is a significant factor for the work-family balance. And the higher the satisfaction of work and division of domestic work, the greater is the balance between work and family. This suggests that they also have a higher cognition of family strength.

재한(在韓) 조선족(朝鮮族) 이주 노동자를 위한 주거 계획 - 한국과 중국에 거주하는 조선족의 주거 및 주생활에 대한 고찰 - (Housing Plans of ChoSun-Tribe Immigrant Workers in Korea - An Analysis of Housing and Domestic Living of ChoSun-Tribe in Korea and China -)

  • Immigrant workers in Korea who have a multi-cultural background are increasing a need is arising to support them with housing that considers their housing culture. The purpose of this study is to gather information to formulate a plan of ChoSun-Tribe Immigrant Workers in Korea. For this purpose, we investigated to the usage of domestic space and the seating style of ChoSun-Tribe members in China and Korea. Ethnographic research with a questionnaire was used to analyze 16 households in China and 17 in Korea. The study results were as follows. 1. Most of the ChoSun-Tribe members in China and Korea thought that the kitchen had to be separated from other areas and also they wanted to have a large kitchen in which they can work comfortably. 2. ChoSun-Tribe members in China used a bathroom as a laundry normally while and ChoSun-Tribe members in China and Korea didn't think that a bathtub was indispensable in the bathroom. 3. The most uncomfortable feature for ChoSun-Tribe members in Korea was having to use a toilet outside so a toilet should be considered inside of the house. 4. ChoSun-Tribe members in China and Korea were accustomed to sitting on the floor for their living usually and ChoSun-Tribe members in China used the living room as a multi-purpose room for the family. 5. A modified Ondol system using water pipes under the floor was gaining popularity in China and was the most desirable heating system for ChoSun-Tribe members in China and Korea also. 6. ChoSun-Tribe members in China and Korea all took off their shoes inside of the house for hygienic reasons so the space for taking on-off shoes was indispensable. 7. Housing for ChoSun-Tribe immigrant workers in Korea needs to be planned with a good environment lots of sunshine and better ventilation.

재미한인간호사의 문화적응과 사회적 지지가 정신건강에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Acculturation and Social Support on Mental Health among Korean-American Registered Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was to examine the impact of acculturation and social support on the mental health among Korean-American registered nurses. Methods: Data were collected with a convenience sample of 203 Korean-American registered nurses living in New York state and New Jersey state from 8th May to 25th August in 2012. The structured questionnaires measured the degree of acculturation, social support, and mental health. Data analysis was conducted using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation efficient, and Stepwise multiple regression. Results: Lower level of integration and higher level of marginalization were associated with the lower mental health. Social support was also positively related to mental health and had mediating effect on the relationship between acculturation and mental health. The five variables, including participants' educational background, work shift, integration, marginalization, and social support were significant to predict the level of mental health among Korean-American registered nurses, accounting for 41% of the variability. Conclusion: The results imply that higher level of social support and strong identity of both home and host culture will enable Korean-American registered nurses to maintain sound mental health.

바이러스성 출혈성 패혈증 바이러스(Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia Virus) 감염 넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus)의 조직별 바이러스 정량분석 (Quantitative analysis of viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus in tissues of infected olive flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus))

  • 국내외에서 80여 종이 넘는 담수 및 해산어류를 감염시켜 대량폐사를 발생시키는 바이러스성 출혈성 패혈증 바이러스(VHSV) 진단검사를 위해 넙치의 여러 조직의 바이러스 발현량에 대한 정량적 데이터를 시간순서에 따라 분석하였다. 무작위 선별된 넙치에 3.0E+07 TCID50 per 0.1mL per fish의 VHSV를 복강 주사하여 시간순서(0시간, 6시간, 12시간, 1일, 2일, 3일, 5일, 7일)에 따라 조직(아가미, 간, 신장, 비장, 근육)을 채취하였다. Real-time PCR 법을 통해 상대 정량한 결과 5일차 아가미, 간, 신장, 비장에서 바이러스의 발현량이 가장 높게 나타났다. 이번 연구를 통해 감염 초기단계에서 비장이 VHSV 확정진단을 위한 적정조직임을 입증하였으며, 국내 법정전염병 진단에 중요한 정보를 제공할 것이다.

조리방법에 따른 채소류의 품질 변화 (Quality Changes of Vegetables by different Cooking Methods)

  • $90^{\circ}C$의 물, 0.5% NaCl 용액, 1.0% Nacl 용액, $400^{\circ}C$ 과열수증기 등을 사용하여 가열 조리한 오이, 애호박, 당근, 무, 양파 등의 채소류의 품질변화를 살펴보았다. 가열에 의한 채소류의 pH는 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 가열조리한 채소류의 색 변화를 Hunter 색차계를 사용하여 L값(밝기), a값(적색도), b값(황색도)을 측정한 결과 $400^{\circ}C$ 과열수증기로 30초간 처리한 채소류의 색변화가 $90^{\circ}C$의 물, 0.5% NaCl 용액, 1.0% Nacl 용액에서 처리한 것보다 L값(밝기), a값(적색도), b값(황색도)등의 변화가 적어 변색이 적게 일어난 결과를 나타내었다. 채소류에 존재하는 오염 미생물은 $400^{\circ}C$ 과열수증기로 30초간 처리한 채소류에서 매우 효과적으로 생육이 억제되었다. 가열조리에 의한 비타민C의 함량 변화는 조리방법과 채소류의 종류에 따라 비타민C 잔존율에 차이가 있었다. 고온의 과열수증기를 이용한 단시간 조리법은 $900^{\circ}C$의 물, 0.5% NaCl 용액, 1.0% NaCl 용액 등에서 처리한 일반 가열조리법에 비하여 pH, 색, 세포연화, 비타민C 감소율 등의 변화가 적게 나타났다. 본 논문의 연구 자료는 앞으로 진행될 가정 대용식(HMR, Home Meal Replacement)의 개발에 이용될 것이다.
