이 연구의 목적은 2006년부터 2017년까지 진행된 미국 National Endowment for the Arts가 지원하는 'The Big Read(TBR)' 지역사회 독서운동에서 선정된 책들의 특성 및 'One Book'과의 관계를 살펴보는 것이다. 2017년 12월 현재 NEA의 TBR에 참여한 1,407개 프로그램과 745개 지역사회, TBR Library 선정 책 56권을 분석한 결과는 TBR은 'One Book' 독서운동을 확장 및 보완하고 있으며, 이 독서운동 모형의 지속가능성을 확증하였다. TBR은 책 선정에서 독자적 지향점을 갖지만, 주제적 특성은 'One Book' 책 1,102권의 축소판과 같은 유사성을 가진다. 성장, 정의, 관용과 같은 인간의 보편적 가치 및 미국 내 다양한 민족과 문화 경험과 삶에 대한 관심을 반영한다. 'One Book'과 TBR의 가시적 성과는 계량하기 어려우나, 한 권의 책을 통한 소통의 가치는 지속가능함을 확인하였다.

Countee Cullen has never been fully understood as a poet or as a man, for there existed certain ambiguities concerning his earlier life including family background. But a short but enormously important biography written by Shirley Washington, his niece, a daughter of his youngest sister, titled Countee Cullen's Secret Revealed by Miracle Book: A Biography of His Childhood in New Orleans, has at last come to shed some lights on his childhood which has never been disclosed by Cullen himself or anyone else. Now we can safely say that Countee Cullen was a combination of two personalities, James S. Carter, Jr. and Countee Cullen, In other words, he was a good example of a 'dichotomous personality.' Such disclosure of two conflicting personalities gives us a rare chance to re-examine his literary works. We can now put in perspective why in his first collection of poems Color Countee Cullen was so ironic, dark, cynic, and pessimistic about the life and the world. Also, we can understand why Cullen's response to the jazz was so complex and contradictory and in what ways he used artistic technique to conceal his own feelings. Thanks to Washington's biography, we are now able to locate the real cause of his failure to mature as a poet and of his failure to materialize what was promised in the beginning of his literary career.

이 연구의 목적은 1998년부터 2016년까지 미국 '한 책, 한 도시' 지역사회 독서운동에서 선정된 책들의 선호도, 분류기호, 주제표목, 발행연도, 장르 등 특성을 살펴봄으로써 지역사회 독서운동의 지향점을 이해하는 것이다. 2017년 4월 LC(Library of Congress) 도서센터 웹사이트에 등록된 '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동의 주별 및 작가별 리스트를 기반으로 전체 선정 책 1,102권 및 단 한 개 프로그램에서 선정된 책 812권의 LC OPAC 서지레코드 735건을 분석하였다. 주요한 발견은 To Kill a Mockingbird 등 선호된 책들의 계속적 영향력과 'The Big Read'를 통한 '한 책'의 수명 연장, 발행 1-2년 된 신간에 대한 선호, LC 분류체계의 P(문학 및 어학) 주제 집중(530권, 72.1%)과 PS(미국문학)의 압도적 중요성(307권, 57.9%), 가정소설, 역사소설, 심리소설 장르의 높은 비중과 43개 장르의 분산, 고유한 주제표목 535개 중 "City and town life"와 "World War, 1939-1945"(8권) 표목의 중요성 및 개별 주제표목들의 다양성, 96개 주제표목 그룹에서 "African American..."(20권)과 "Woman..."(16권)으로 시작하는 그룹의 중요성 등을 포함한다. 이 연구는 선정 책들의 주제가 통합, 이해, 관용 등에서 인권, 환경, 평화 등으로 변화하고 다양화하는 현황과 추이를 기술하였으나, 책 선정이 지역사회에 미친 영향 및 독서운동이 가져온 실제적 변화 등은 다루지 못한 제한점을 가진다.

본 연구는 출판문화산업 활성화를 위해 도서자판기를 편의점에 설치하여 유통채널을 확장시키는 방안에 관한 연구이다. 먼저 편의점의 의미와 도서자판기의 개념을 정립한 후 편의점 내 도서자판기 설치 및 운영 필요성을 도출하였다. 편의점 시스템을 이용하여 도서판매의 공정성과 투명성을 제고할 것이며, 출판업계와 편의점업계 사이의 아웃소싱, 소비자를 위한 옴니채널 서비스 확대, 고객 만족도를 높이기 위한 고객 경험가치 제공 등을 추진할 것이다. 도서자판기의 구성은 스마트 도서관 형태의 자판기로 운영하며 키오스크 프로그램에 유니버설 디자인을 적용한다. 이러한 과정을 도식화하였고 실질적인 운영방안을 모색하기 위해 성인 310명을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하였다. 향후 편의점 도서자판기 설치와 같이 출판물의 판매 및 유통채널을 다변화하는 연구를 통해 출판문화산업 활성화에 따른 국민 1인당 독서량 증가로 국민의 독서환경이 증진될 수 있기를 기대하는 바이다.

'디지로그 북 (Digilog Book)' 은 아날로그 책과 디지털 콘텐츠의 장점을 통합함으로써, 아날로그적 감성과 디지털 오감을 함께 느끼도록 개발하고자 하는 새로운 개념의 차세대 전자책이다. 기존의 책이라는 콘텐츠 위에 디지털적인 내용을 삽입하여 책을 보는 독자가 시각, 청각, 촉각을 자극하는 다양한 경험을 입체적으로 즐기게 한다. 또한 책에 있는 내용을 디지털 스토리화하여 독자의 선택에 따라 각기 다른 내용을 경험할 수 있으며 책이라는 인터페이스 공간을 통해 상호작용을 할 수 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 개념 연구과정에서 디지로그 북 응용시나리오를 중심으로 디지털스토리텔링 및 상호작용체험의 내용을 만들어 구체화시키고 시각화해 봄으로써 책을 기반으로 한 디지털스토리텔링 및 상호작용의 내용과 범주를 확인할 것이다. 이처럼 응용시나리오에서 확인된 내용은 디지로그 북 저작이 가능하도록 하는 저작도구개발을 위한 내용구성, 화면구성, 저작기능 정의, 저작인터페이스, 저작시스템 구성 등 저작기술개발의 방향과 지침을 만드는 지표로 삼을 수 있을 것이다.

Kim Su-On(1409~1481) was a editor in King Sejong's times who worked on the publication of "Euibangyoochui(醫方類聚)" and other major publications led by the royal family. This paper will review the works of Kim Su-On based on the medical background of early Joseon Dynasty and the medical book-reading officer system, and also evaluate his contribution to the development of medicine in early Joseon Dynasty, factoring in his life, ideas, and literary talent. By looking at the life of Kim Su-On, we can understand the role of Confucian doctors(儒醫) in the early Joseon Dynasty, how Confucian scholars who were learned in medicine supervised the compilation and correction of "Euibangyoochui(醫方類聚)". Especially, from the poetry of "Sikujip(拭疣集)", contents regarding the proofreading of "Euibangyoochui(醫方類聚)" between Im Won-jun and Kim Su-On shows the publication process of "Euibangyoochui(醫方類聚)" at the reign of King Sungjong. His outstanding achievements are largely due to the medical book-reading officer system implemented around the time "Euibangyoochui (醫方類聚)" was published. The medical book-reading officer system aimed to increase the knowledge of various matters for the civil service bureaucrats, allowing them to become high-ranking officials in the fields of technology. Its another purpose was to compile specialty publications. Many of the civil service bureaucrats who participated in the medical book publications arranged the theoretical basis of medicine and modified experience medicine to a new medical system. The first edition of "Euibangyoochui(醫方類聚)" at King Sejong's reign collected vast medical information into 365 books. Then it was corrected during King Sejo's reign then finally completed and published at King Seongjong's reign. During this period, the experience medicine inherited from Goryeo Dynasty was reestablished into a new form of theoretical interpretation.

This book is named 'The Ryuk-Jab-Rok' because it was written in the last page of 1820's almanac. This book is written purely in Korean and has not been published yet. This book comprises twenty eight items, among which there are eight items of vegetable preserving method, ten items of Jook preparation methods(a kind of cereal soup), nine items of Pyun-Myun methods(a kind of rice cakes and noodles) and Yak-Bab(a kind of spiced rice). In vegetable preserving method, the eggplant, the cucumber and a songi mushroom were preserved with the drying method., A radish, a sorojangii, and the root of white cabbage were used with the cold temperature preservation. A garlic was dried after salting. The sprouts of DooRub, which were coming in the hot room, were used. In the Jook preparations, there were five animal materials which were lamb, chick, crudian, oyster and abalone. In nine Pyun-Myun methods, Jap-Gua-Sil was illegible because the letters were not clear. Among eight items, the stick rice was used in four cases, the regular rice in two cases. The ground pine nuts, honey and the Chinese date were used most ofter. And the sesame salt and the chestnut were next. The analysis of the terms I this book revealed that 26 items were used for cooking processes. And it also showed us that there were seven kind of cutting procedure and eight kinds of heating procedure. The shapes and size of foods were revealed at only three places in all items. The one-chi(chi ; abut three cm) and three-Ja(Ja ; about thirty cm) which the terms represent the length were revealed twice and once respectively in this book. In the taste description, 'the good', the most common word, was used in seven times, and which was the most frequently introduce case. The measuring unit is hard to revive since the measurements were taken by the container, which were Jong-Ja, Sabal and Tang-gii, then in use. Fifteen kinds of containers and cookers were used for preparing foods. And all of them are now I use.

Nanboroku is Japanese book of tea written by Mr. Nanb -s kei who was the ablest pupil of Mr. Sennorikyu(1522~1591) and is said to be completed in 1593. In this study, Sennorikyu's opinion concerning meals served in the Japanese tea-ceremony was interpreted and the origin of the meals was clarified. The meal of the tea-ceremony is to be given not the extent of starvation, but in conformity with the manner of daily life in the Buddhism temple. It means not the plain foods, but it is to be served by understanding taste for the simple and quiet, that is Wabi and Sabi traditionally known in jpan. Also, the meals of forty-seven times served in the tea-ceremony given by Mr. sennoriku in a certain year between 1582-~1588, which are recorded in the volume No2, and classified according to the kind and frequency of the menu and foods. Therefore the origin of the meals of tea-ceremony in the present age was clarified.

The Jews had lives of diaspora for almost 2000 years dispersed all around the world. But they had gotten together and reestablished the nation Israel. The fundamental power of reunification came from the spirit of their through education. The contents of their education are based on the Bible. Among the Bilble, the three books, the Job, the Ecclesiastes and the Proverbs are called the books of liberary works. And the book, the Proverbs written by King Solomon is famous for the teachings of wisdom. It contains ethical instructions, religious advice, wisdom and all the teachings in the way of life. Even though it lacks some elements of vital wits in modern feelings, its rich understanding and teachings of life overwhelm all the western and oriental readers. This thesis studied the meaning of wisdom in the Proverbs and Jewish teachings of it and its need and how to apply it to our practical life today.
