Implementation of a network-based Real-Time Embedded Linux platform

  • The SoC and digital technology development recently enabled the emergence of information devices and control devices because the SoC present many advantages such as lower power consumption, greater reliability, and lower cost. It is required to use an embedded operating system for building control systems. So far, the Real-Time operating system is widely used to implement a Real-Time system since it meets developer's requirements. However, Real-Time operating systems reveal a lack of standards, expensive development, and license costs. Embedded Linux is able to overcome these disadvantages. In this paper, the implementation of control system platform using Real-Time Embedded Linux is described. As a control system platform, we use XScale of a Soc and build Real-Time control platform using RTAI and Real-Time device driver. Finally, we address the feasibility study of the Real-Time Embedded Linux as a Real-Time operating system for mobile robots.

Advantage of Online Platform of the Real Estate and Its Marketing Strategy

  • Purpose: One of the eldest businesses in the realm is the real estate market and it has been dominated by offline sales and marketing tactics for decades. However, the home-buying process today is made simpler and more effective for purchasers thanks to internet platforms. This study is to investigate in terms of advantage of online platform of the real estate and its marketing strategy. Research design, data and methodology: For checking and collecting proper literature resources, content literature investigation used and it would be fitted for this research based on numerous prior studies in the realm of marketing strategies and online platforms of real state. Results: Online real estate platforms provides the availability of a broad range of properties for buyers and sellers, and connects buyers and sellers with nearby real estate mediators and agents. Finally, we figured out that utilizing real estate agents might have a huge positive impact on real estate agents. Conclusions: As online platforms become increasingly popular for real estate professionals, practitioners must be aware of the changes in technology and the resulting implications for how they market and sell property. Future research should explore the effect of online platforms on customer satisfaction and the overall accomplishment of real estate businesses.

경성 내장형 실시간 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Hard Embedded Real-Time System)

  • 본 논문은 독립적으로 움직이면서 시간 제약을 만족시키는 새로운 내장형 실시간 시스템을 설계하며 구현하였다. 본 논문에서의 실시간 시스템 커널은 시간적인 요소를 가장 핵심으로 고려하여 설계되었다. 따라서 실시간 커널은 작은 용량을 가지며 빠르게 예측하며, 실시간 스케줄링에 요구되는 많은 변화들을 통해서 실시간 커널에 융통성을 부여한다. 제안한 실시간 커널은 경성 실시간 제약 조건인 인터럽트 지연 시간, 스케줄링의 정확성, 메시지 전달시간을 만족하기 위하여 실시간 커널에는 실시간 태스크 처리와 인터럽트 처리, 타이밍을 처리하도록 하였고 비 실시간 커널은 일반적인 태스크를 처리하도록 하였다. 제안된 실시간 시스템은 RT-Linux, QNX와 인터럽트 지연, 스케줄링 정확성, 메시지 전달시간 등을 비교 분석하여 효율성을 입증하였다.

Kernel Thread Scheduling in Real-Time Linux for Wearable Computers

  • In Linux, real-time tasks are supported by separating real-time task priorities from non-real-time task priorities. However, this separation of priority ranges may not be effective when real-time tasks make the system calls that are taken care of by the kernel threads. Thus, Linux is considered a soft real-time system. Moreover, kernel threads are configured to have static priorities for throughputs. The static assignment of priorities to kernel threads causes trouble for real-time tasks when real-time tasks require kernel threads to be invoked to handle the system calls because kernel threads do not discriminate between real-time and non-real-time tasks. We present a dynamic kernel thread scheduling mechanism with weighted average priority inheritance protocol (PIP), a variation of the PIP. The scheduling algorithm assigns proper priorities to kernel threads at runtime by monitoring the activities of user-level real-time tasks. Experimental results show that the algorithms can greatly improve the unexpected execution latency of real-time tasks.

Effect of Real Estate Holding Type on Household Debt

  • Purpose: This study aims to provide implications for the government's housing supply policy by analyzing the factors that determine the type of real estate holding and household debt. This study started from the awareness that the determinants of household debt differ depending on the type of real estate holding. Research design, data and methodology: Real estate ownership type was classified and analyzed into 4 models: model 1 (1 household 1 house and self-resident), model 2 (1 household multiple real estate ownership and self-resident), model 3 (1 household 1 house and rent residence), model 4 (1 household holds a large number of real estate and rent residence). The analysis method used multiple regression analysis. The dependent variable was household total debt. As independent variables, household debt, annual gross household income, financial assets, real estate net assets, annual repayment, demographic & residential characteristics were used. Results: 1) Model 4 has the highest household debt and the highest gross income, Model 2 has the most real estate mortgage loans and real estate net asset, and Model 1 has the highest real estate mortgage payments. 2) The positive factor of common household debt determinants is real estate net assets, and the negative factor is financial assets. 3) It was the net assets of real estate that acted as a positive factor in common for the four models. In other words, the more financial assets, the less household debt. It was analyzed that the more net assets of real estate, the more household debt. The annual repayment of financial liabilities had no influence on household debt, while the annual repayment of loan liabilities and household debt had a positive relationship. Conclusions: 1) It is necessary to introduce benefits and systems that can increase the proportion of household financial asset. Specific alternatives include tax benefits and reduced fees for financial asset investment. 2) In the case where a homeless person prepares one house for one household, it is necessary to prepare various support measures according to the income level. The specific alternative is to give additional points for pre-sale or apply an interest rate cut incentive for mortgage loans.

  • 유부동산 시스템의 설계는 부동산의 광범위한 자료 수집으로 신뢰성 있는 정보를 적시에 제공하고, 부동산 가격 결정, 부동산 정책 등을 즉각적으로 반영하고 활용할 수 있게 한다. 오늘날 부동산 구매자의 취향이 다양해짐으로써 그동안의 판매자 중심의 시장에서 구매자 중심으로 바뀌고 있다. 부동산 중개 업무를 담당하고 있던 부동산 중개인의 영역범위가 점점 축소되고 있는 것은 부동산 정보화 시스템 구축의 영향을 받는다. 시대적인 환경의 변화는 부동산 거래 방식의 변화를 가져와 부동산 유통 시장의 변화를 주도하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹 공학의 부동산 컨텐츠 시스템 구축을 위한 설계로 웹 공학 기반의 새로운 인터넷 시대를 주도하고, 웹 서비스정보를 제공하여 부동산정보 시스템의 활성화를 수행하는데 그 목적이 있다.

  • After the 1997 currency crisis, the real estate prices had been rapidly dropped and the deregulation in the Korean real estate merket has been performed. It is analyzed whether these transactions caused a structural change in real estate market, or not. The Pettitt test shows there exists a turing point in real estate prices in 1998. It is found that the degrees of co-movement between the change in real estate prices and real GDP growth rate are increased. Consequently, the factor, represented as real GDP growth rate, determining the market fundamental of real estate prices will effect on the behavioral pattern and the real estate prices in the long run. While the factors determining the portfolio selection behaviors, such as interest rate and stock prices, will cause short-term variations.

However, it is nearly impossible to use the SoC without operating systems because the SoC is included with many peripherals and complex architecture. It is required to use embedded operating systems and real-time operating systems may be used as an embedded operating system. So far, real-time operating systems are widely used to implement a Real-Time system since it meets developer's requirements. However, real-time operating systems have disadvantages including a lack of standards, expensive development, and license. Embedded Linux is able to overcome their disadvantages. In this paper, the implementation of control system platform for a mobile robot using real-time Embedded Linux is described. As a control hardware system platform, XScale board is used. As the real-time Embedded Linux, RTAI is adopted which is open source and royalty free, and supports various architectures and real-time devices, such like real-time CAN and real-time COM. This paper shows the implementation of RTAI on XScale board that means the porting procedure. We also applied the control system platform to the mobile robot and compared the Real-Time serial driver with non real-time serial driver. Experimental results show that that using RTAI is useful to build real-time control system with powerful functionalities of Linux.

  • 시스템 처리용량의 증가로 과거 메인프레임이 처리하던 작업을 PC가 처리할 수 있게 되었다. 특히 산업계에서는 기존의 메인프레임을 PC급으로 전환하면서 PC급 시스템에서 실시간성을 보장하는 실시간 정보처리와 실시간 정보감시를 위한 실시간 모니터링 기능이 요구되고 있다. 그러나 실시간성의 보장을 위해서는 실시간 기능의 추가 및 이에 대한 검증이 필요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 실시간성의 요구를 충족시키기 위해 실시간성을 제공할 수 있는 시스템의 구축과 이에 대한 성능 검증을 목적으로 한다. 또한 실시간 정보감시를 위해 웹기반의 실시간 모니터링 시스템을 구축하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
