This study was carried out to propose some useful advices for the improvement policy of the minor rural roads. For the detailed case studies on structural improvement level of the minor rural roads, 5 county areas in Chonnam Province were selected ; Damyang (peri-urban), Gurye(remoter mountainous), Jindo(remotest island), Yuongam(intermediate flat) and Bosung (intermediate semi-mountainous). In each county, the official survey data on pavement types, widths and ratios of district(Myun in Korean) and parish(Ri in Korean) roads were collected. There were no apparent differences between district and parish roads in terms of structural improvement level, while the former was ranked higher than the latter in the minor rural road improvement law, so, the present hierarchial classification system of rural roads should be readjusted. And above a third of minor rural roads in the case study areas did not meet the statutory minimum level of road width, which means the necessity of substantial upgrade of road improvement works in rural areas.

Two dogs (case 1:2-year-old intact male German Shepherd-mixed dog and case 2: 4-year-old intact female Jindo miked) with perineal hernia were referred to the Chonbuk Animal Medical Center, Chonbuk National University. In the both cases, there were unilateral perineal swelling involving the right side of the anus. In addition, in case 2, swelling was also present ventral to the anus. Rectal palpation of pelvic diaphragm revealed weakness of the muscles. Both cases were surgically treated using muscle transposition technique for hemiorrhaphy. In case 1, transposition of the superficial gluteal and internal obturator muscles and in case 2, transposition oi semitendinosus muscle was performed for hemiorrhaphy and reconstruction of the pelvic diaphragm. Both dogs became recovered after the surgical correction and no complications were observed during 10-month (casel) and 9-month(case2). Muscle transposition can be a useful technique for the treatment of perineal hernia in the dog.

This experiment was carried out to investigate the changes in phospholipid and glycolipid of Kaesojoo and Kaesojoo added medicinal herbs during storage(30 days) at 4$^{\circ}C$and -18$^{\circ}C$. Two dogs with 12kg live weight(♀, The Korean Jindo dog Hy-breed, 11∼12 month) were slaughtered to obtain samples. The result obtained were as follows: The saturated fatty acids found in phospholipid of Kaesojoo were palmitic acid, stearic acid, myristic acid, while the unsaturated fatty acid found in phospholipid of Kaesojoo with medicinal herbs were palmitic acid, stearic acid, arachidonic acid, while the unsaturated fatty acid were mostly oleic acid, increased during the period of storage. The saturated fatty acid found in glycolipid obtained from Kaesojoo were mostly oleic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid. The saturated fatty acid obtained from Kaesojoo with medicinal herbs were palmitic acid, stearic acid, while the unsaturated fatty acid were mostly oleic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid. The rates of changes in unsaturated and saturated fatty acid were higher at 4$^{\circ}C$ than that of -18$^{\circ}C$ during storage.

A serological survey for antibody of Leptospira spp. in canine was carried out from March to September, 1989 in Seoul. 182 serums collected from animal hospitals and keeping were collected and these were performed by using 12 different living antigens. In the microscopic agglutination test(MAT), being partial agglutination reaction at a serum dilution of 1：200 or over, we recorded it as positive. These results were compared with the species, sex and general conditions of canines, the areas and types of animal keeping. The results were summarized as followed ; 1. We detected the antibodies L. grippotyphosa 1 and L. icteroheamorrhagiae 1 in A area(total 48 heads ), L. canicola 1 and L. icterohaemorrhagiae 4 in B area(total 52 heads), L. hardjo 1 and L. icterohaemorrhagiae 2 in C area (total 32 heads), L. icterohaemorrhagiae 1 in D area(total 23 heads) L. grippotyposa 1 and L. icterohaemorrhagiae 2 in E area(total 27 heads) by MAT. There were positives for L. canicola 1, L. grippotyposa 2, L. hardjo 1 and L. icterohaemorrhagiae 10 in 5 areas by MAT. 2. The deteclive rate of leptospiral antibody in Jindo canine was 17.6% (3) among 17, Mixed 4.4% (4) among 90 and Exotic 9.3% (7) among 75 heads. 3. The Male(91 heads) was positive for 8.7%(8) and the female(91 heads) was positive for 6.5%(6). 4. In the vaccination, positive rate was 10.3% (7) among 55 heads, and in the unvaccination, positive rate was 5.5%(7) among 127 heads.

A nine-month-old male Jindo with non weight-bearing on the right forelimb in flexed position, pain and edema of the elbow, and resist elbow extension was brought to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Chungbuk National University. Elbow radiographs showed loss of humeroradial joint space and lateral displacement of the radius and ulna. Closed reduction was reported the best therapy in most cases of luxation of the elbow but conservative reduction was impossible. Open reduction of the luxated elbow was performed and ruptured collateral ligaments were identified. Displaced elbow was required bloody surgical operation and gentle reduction to restore elbow joint. Internal reduction of choice for elbow luxation with rupture of collateral ligament in the dog was a double locking-loop suture pattern. To ensure secure grasping of parallel bundles of ligament fibers to transverse bites of each suture were placed superficial to the longitudinal bites. All ligaments were repaired with 3-metric (size 2 USP) monofilament polypropylene suture. No complications have been noted during a five-month follow up.

To observe and analyze the cloud and fog characteristics, the METeorological Research Institute (METRI) has established the Cloud Physics Observation System (CPOS) by implementing the cloud observation instruments: Forward Scattering Spectrometer Probe (FSSP), PARticle SIze and VELocity (PARSIVEL), Microwave Radiometer (MWR), Micro Rain Radar (MRR), and 3D-AWS at the Daegwallyeong Enhanced Mountain Weather Observation Center. The cloud-related products of CPOS and the validation status for the size distribution of FSSP, the precipitable water of MWR, and the rainfall rate of MRR and PARSIVEL are described.

The karyotype of the domestic dog is widely accepted as one of the difficult mammalian karyotypes to work. In contrast to many other animals, knowledge about the canine karyotype is quite sparse. The dog has a total of 78 chromosomes; all 76 autosomes are acrocentric in morphology and show only a gradual decrease in length. But appear to be quite small and difficult to identify unambiguously. To purchased standardization of chromosome in Korea native dog, there were analyzed by conventional trypsin/Giemsa staining (GTG-banding techniques), and were compared with 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 17 chromosome. There were no variations in karyotypes which were analyzed by conventional GTG-banding techniques, but differences were observed in G-banding patterns with Sapsaree, Jindo, Gyeongju DongGyeong dogs, Welshi-Corgi. It is not clear that these disagreements in G-banding patterns between strains of dog were caused by chromosome polymorphism or a difference in interpretation. Comparative analysis of the distribution patterns of conserved segments defined by dog paints in the genomes of the Korea native dogs demonstrates that their differences in the karyotypes of these three species could have resulted from acrocentric banding patterns.

In this study, we have focused on various types of costumes for traditional Ganggangsullae and daily dance Ganggangsullae. To analyze their costumes, spot photographs of Ganggangsullae contests from 2011 and 2013 were collected from the Department of Culture and Tourism, Jindo County Office and the Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency. Costumes were analyzed by categorising them as type, shape and color. Traditional Ganggangsullae costumes are two types: traditional hanbok and saenghwal hanbok. Traditional hanbok design dates back to the late Joseon dynasty and saenghwal hanbok design to the middle Joseon Dynasty. They reflects confucianism, a male-dominated society, totemism, shamanism and Yin-Yang and the five elements theory in agrarian society and community life. Daily dance Ganggangsullae has various types of costumes such as the fusion hanbok, saenghwal hanbok, cheering uniform and casual wear. They show modern color schemes. There is not any magical meaning from Yin-Yang and the five elements theory. Instead, they have individualism, liberty, equality and welfare in information-oriented society. So its costumes are easy and comfortable clothes. But traditional hanbok, fusion hanbok and saenghwal hanbok are inspired from Korean identiry. Even though traditional Ganggangsullae and daily dance Ganggangsullae have different costumes and ideology, they have a common denominator 'playfulness.' It will function as a key for Ganggangsullae to be performed continuously over the period.

Tidal land reclamation provided water resources and land for agriculture and contributed stable crop production. However, climate change by global warming disrupts the hydrologic circulatory system of the earth resulting in sea level rise and more frequent flood for reclaimed arable land. Recently, Suyu reclaimed paddy field in Jindo-gun experienced prolonged inundation after heavy rainfall and there is a growing risk of flood damage. Onsite survey and flood analysis using GATE_Pro model of Korea Rural Corporation were conducted to investigate causes of flooding. To perform the analysis, input data such as inflow hydrograph, the lowest elevation of paddy field, neap tide level, management level of Gunnae estuary lake at the time of the flood were collected. Flood analysis confirmed that current drainage facilities are not enough to prevent 20year return period flood. The result of analysis showed flooding more than 24hours. Therefore, flood mitigation alternatives such as sluice gate expansion, installation drainage pumping station, refill paddy land, and catch canal were studied. Replacing drainage culvert of Suyu dike to sluice gate and installing drainage pumping station at the Gunne lake were identified as an effective flood control measures. Furthermore, TM/TC (SCADA) system and expert for gate management are required for the better management of drainage for estuary dam and flood mitigation.

본 논문에서는 초고주파 대역에서 활용 가능한 ridge 기판 집적 도파관(RSIW:Ridge Substrate Integrated Waveguide)과 기판 집적 도파관(SIW: Substrate Integrated Waveguide) 간의 전이 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 전이 구조는 일정한 간격으로 도통 비아를 삽입하여 임피던스 정합과 전계 정합을 하였으며, 광대역 정합 특성을 갖는다. 측정 결과에서 20 dB 이하의 반사 손실 대역이 9.21~12.41 GHz이고, 중심 주파수 11 GHz 기준으로 비대역폭이 29.1 %임을 확인하였다. 또한, 가용 대역폭에서 급전 선로 부분을 제외한 전이 구조만의 삽입 손실은 최대 0.49 dB이다.
