The university supports the reading activities of university students in various ways, such as opening liberal arts courses related to reading or setting up required credits. In addition, it supports activities such as selecting the recommended book list for university students and providing the list. The purpose of this study is to analyze the problems of the current university's recommended book list and methods of using reading, and to propose improvement plans. To this end, using D University as an example, the current status of the recommended book list and reading discussion program were identified, and problems were investigated. In the current recommended book list, the subject area and list did not properly reflect the times, and the information on the provided list was very simple. Also, it was found that there was no suggestion on how to use the recommended book list. Through this, the recommended book list with the addition of bibliographic information and composition of the subject area was proposed. In addition, the reading discussion method was structured using Havruta.

  • The cooperation with other work types and designing procedure in plant industry and engineering showed clear differences from general construction industries. Current problems are that design's consistency is reduced because of the false system of interface and it ultimately causes frequency changes of design and delayed submission of final book. To solve the problems, the improvements of designing procedure were studied by focusing on the field of architectural designing and the range was limited from power plant construction industry to engineering designing field. If combining GA with the field of architectural designing and receiving data previously, it's possible to conduct expectable designing on small changes in the future, so it's expected to improve greatly cooperation with interface among the work types of power plant engineering received previously from the aspect of consistency. For the application of designing tool, a checklist, interim check will be conducted if progressed by list's division in the designing procedure, not book's completing period. In the interface among the designing work types, direct confirmation and revision must be conducted. In case of 3D modeling, the reflection of input data must be conducted from the basic designing so as to solve interferences intensively.

The importance of letters in its traditional format as a book that signified not only the method of communication but also power for those who governed during the days of illiteracy in the past has changed, in the beginning with the development of printing and today with movies etc. that supply endless images instead of words as a means of communication. The images are the next generation in the method of communication and can be noted from the earliest civilizations such as Egypt where the method of communication was not words but drawings that depicted specific significations. The use of images for communication purposes in light of this fact suggests that images was being used before words in societies and its communicative values greater than that of words.
