The new textile materials may be defined as textile materials different from already existing ones in the physical and chemical structure, manufacturing process, or end-use property. The present time what is called the post-industrial society is characterized by rapid change and new technology. Also, textile materials have been changed rapidly and diversely in the post-industrial society than in any other periods. The study aimed to analyze the trend of new tektite materials development in Korea and to forecast the development trend in the future. To investigate the trend of new textile materials, various written materials and informations were collected from the manufacturers, textile related periodicals, and research journals, and they were analyzed. The period of analysis was from January 1992 to May 1995. The results of this research are as followings : (1) Mixed textile materiasl such as bicomponent fiber, blended yam and blended fabric were increased. (2) High technology has an important effect upon new textile material development. (3) functional textile materials were increased (4) The high value-added products were increased. (5) The naturalized textile materials were increased.

This study classified the new fabrics of apparel Which was published in the domestic magazines newspapers since late nineteen-nineties and analyzed the characteristics of each new fabrics. We propose the recent trend of the development of new fabrics and therefore, predict the new fabric trend of the future. The new fabrics of apparel were classified as, 1. Sanitation and health promoting new fabric. 2. Aesthetic promoting new ones. 3. High functional new ones. 4. Natural fabric oriented new ones. 5. Pro-environmental new ones. The developmental trend of future new fabrics were predicted as followings 1. The pursuit of development of Pro-environmental textile materials 2. The pursuit of development of health enhancing textile materials 3. The pursuit of development of easy-controlling textile materials 4. The pursuit of development of long lasting-comfortable textile materials 5. The pursuit of development of high-aesthetic textile materials 6. The pursuit of development of textile materials Which have the advantages of the natural fabrics Conclusively, the new fabrics of apparel will be developed as the one which has above complicated multi-function and chaotic ability to fitting to environmental change.

The purpose of this study was to investigate various expressions in textile design using CAD and present print design of '01/02 A/W. Four steps were taken in order to achieve this purpose. The first step was to investigate prior research and to analyze textile design methods using CAD. The second step was to study '01/02 A/W fashion trend, especially textile trend. The third step was to design the print design according to textile trend and apply the designed print pattern to real model. The research results are as follows: 1. Textile design is a very important field to help making fashion industry more informative and valuable. 2. Using CAD system in textile design will be very useful and urgent in saving working time and exercising design works. 3. In '01/02 A/W hound's tooth, zigzag, herringbone will be prevalent bold geometric patterns while tartan checks, multi color stripes will be popular too. 4. Textile designs using flower, stripe, checks, dot, abstract pattern were applied to real model, the images of patterns design are as follow, flower pattern-romantic stripe-avantgarde check-cute dotclassic abstract motive-intelligent.

This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of domestic textile designs for miss and madam apparel and to find out the trend sensibility felt by young female judge according to the product year and apparel target age. Textile designs of 170 pictures of 1999 and 1994-1995 were collected at 4 shopping malls and from consumers, and results are as follows; As the sources of textile design were 'nature', 'imagination', and 'combination' used in the order of frequence, but the sources appeared more diverse in 1999 than in 1994-1995. The interpretation techniques expressed most often were 'stylized', 'geometry', and the mast frequent arrangements were 'all over', and the second was '4-way' in 19941995, '2-way' in 1999, that is, the arrangement were different according to product year. The trend sensibility were varying to the target age and product year.1999 apparel products were felt more 'sophisticated', 'contemporary', and 'sporty' if they were the textile designs for miss, while 1994-1995 products were more 'sophisticated', 'contemparary', and 'sporty' if for madam.

The retro fashion and orientalism have been the main trend in the fashion industry tram 2000 as the turning point tram the minimalism. In particular, the far eastern oriental ism, that is, Japanese orientalism had been rapidly spread from 2001. As the trend has been moving to Chinese orientalism from 2003, the fabrics with flower pattern prints and those imbued with Chinese orientalism that were popular in 1960 are the main stream in the textile industry at present. As keeping up with the current trend, this study analyzed the common features and differences between textile patterns with Chinese orientalism that are prevailing ai present and the textile patterns that were popular in 1960s through the film "In the Mood for Love" that told the story of people who immigrated from Shanghai to Hong Kong in 1960s. According to the analysis, the popular textile patterns in 1960s were splendid flower patterns, pop art and op art patterns. Such a trend was elegantly expressed as the textile pattern of Chinese orientalism using qipao in the film "In the Mood for Love".

$Premi\grave{e}re$ Vision is a leading textile collection held since 1973. In this study, textiles for 2004/05 F/W season in $Premi\grave{e}re$ Vision were analyzed at the various point of view, such as general trend, sub-theme, fiber content, color trend, structure, yarn trend, pattern, texture, decoration, finishing and other technical treatment, and functionality. There were three general trends; natural/ecology, geometry, and combination. Natural color and texture were widely used over the fabric exhibited, and irregularities expressed the natural trend of textiles. Geometric patterns were used for knit as well as for woven. Geometry expressed by various methods such as weaving, knitting, printing, shearing, embossing, and etc. However, geometry shown in this season was not a clear form expressed by weaving, but a blurry, irregular form expressed by various other methods such as knitting. The combination among heterogeneous fibers, yarns, colors, images, and textures was usual, however, the harmony among them was accomplished.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of patent technology in textile materials using text mining methodology based on Dynamic Embedded Topic Model and Structural Topic Model. It is expected that this study will have positive impact on revitalizing and developing textile materials industry as finding out technology trends. Design/methodology/approach The data used in this study is 866 domestic patent text data in textile material from 1974 to 2020. In order to analyze technology trends from various aspect, Dynamic Embedded Topic Model and Structural Topic Model mechanism were used. The word embedding technique used in DETM is the GloVe technique. For Stable learning of topic modeling, amortized variational inference was performed based on the Recurrent Neural Network. Findings As a result of this analysis, it was found that 'manufacture' topics had the largest share among the six topics. Keyword trend analysis found the fact that natural and nanotechnology have recently been attracting attention. The metadata analysis results showed that manufacture technologies could have a high probability of patent registration in entire time series, but the analysis results in recent years showed that the trend of elasticity and safety technology is increasing.

During the 1980s, Textile design achieved a remarkable growth in creating aesthetic effect and in establishing its standing by responding to demands of the time effectively and seeking changes proactively. This was a period when Textile design constructed its modern concept as it was attempting a qualitative improvement through advanced technology, high class, and differentiation. The advent of advanced materials through the development of textile engineering, employment of craft techniques to further cultural and artistic orientation, and restoration of decorativeness in pursuit of sensitivity, all these developments of the 1980s contributed to the rise of above characteristics. In this study, attempts are made to grasp the new trend of Textile design during the 1980s and to review diverse methods of aesthetic creation and plastic possibility which this trend presented for the Textile, and thus to recognize the role of Textile design and its importance in a new light. The new trend of Textile design during the 1980s can be summarized as follows: 1) An appreciation of the creative aspect of the Textile. As attempts are made to emphasize visual and sensitive aspects of the medium, Textile tended to become an object of art itself. 2) A new awareness of the representative and plastic capacity of the fiber material. As attempts are made to develope the creative potential of the Textile, representation of the material tended to become more diversified. 3) A recognition of the Textile as a proper means to deliver the spirit of the time. As the medium accommodates and fuses diverse cultures including traditional culture, more emphasis was place on cultural contents of the Textile. In the process of pursuing these changes, Textile design of the 1980s has also contributed to the creation of new values, laying the groundwork for its emergence as an advanced high value-added industry.

With the development of digital technology, clothes of unique textiles using the digital printing techniques have appeared as a creative trend in textile design. The development of digital textile printing technology has allowed the fashion industry to utilize it as an expressive method of a surrealist trend in current fashion designs, and so it is necessary to understand and study this phenomenon. The present study is an attempt to understand this modern fashion phenomena from an artistic perspective by looking at textile designs that applied actual images to textiles, so that this trend in fashion design can be better understood. In this context, this study aims to examine characteristics and expressive techniques of d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme associated with digital textile printing by using actual images among surrealist expressions, and to investigate creative expressions of textile design freely expressing the visual boundary between reality and surrealism with the development of digital technology. For research methods, we reviewed technical texts and previous studies related to our research topic for theoretical exploration and investigated the Internet data and used them for basic data. In the case study, we came up with the characteristics and meanings by classifying fashion design cases using digital textile printing techniques according to expressive techniques of surrealist d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme. Details of this study are as follows: First, it investigates the definition and expressive characteristics of d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme of the surrealist expression for its theoretical understanding. Second, it comes up with the characteristics by analyzing the digital textile cases from the perspective of d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme. Third, it deduces the expressive methods and characteristics of digital textile printing from a the perspective of surrealist d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme based on the resulting characteristics. The conclusions show that d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme, which consists of improvisation and coincidence, maximized the mysterious images of derealisation and mysterious primitive images. These things emphasized the characteristics of maximization of images, derealisation, and rationalization of irrationalism.
