In 5-year male m811ese, was showed aggressive bebavior, $1.5{\times}1.0 cm$ mobile mass that was located in right iinguinal area was unilaterally palpated, and the dog was appeared no pain. In the ultrasonography, there was a 41.26{\times}119 cm$ oval hypo-echogenic mass. In the histopathohgic examination, testicular hypoplasia was observed but there was not any evidence of development of neoplasia. In bilateral cryptorchidectomy, descended testis near the left side of prepuce was incised and the retained testis directly incised and eliminated by closed method. After operation, there was a good prognosis without hemorrage and inflammation.

Cisplatin is useful for various cancers including advanced testicular and ovarian cancers. However, clinical use of cisplatin has been limited due to its dose-related neplrotoxicity. Transport studies across the membrane vesicles were performed to study the cisplatin nephrotoxicity. In these experiments, after cisplatin was administered to adult male New Zealand White rabbits, basolateral membrane (BLM) vesicles were prepared from the renal cortex. Para-aminohippurate (PAH) uptakes through BLM vesicles were measured to examine the interactioln of cisplatin on the transports of the substrates. As results of the uptake experiments using the vesicle systems, cisplatin had little effects on PAH transport through BLM vesicle. In conclusion, cisplatin did not cause the damage of basolateral membranes.

Endobronchial metastases from extrathoracic primary malignancies are uncommon. Breast, renal, and colonic carcinomas are primary sites most likely to give rise to endobronchial metastases. A number of other tumours have been reported as being complicated by endobronchial metastasis, including ovarian, thyroid, uterine, adrenal, testicular and prostatic carcinomas. The incidence of endobronchial metastasis has been estimated at 2% in patients who died of metastatic disease. Lung parenchymal metastases are common manifestations in patients with rectal cancer, however spread to the major airway is extremely rare. We herein report a case of endobronchial metastasis from rectal adenocarcinoma. A 69-year-old male patient who had been previously treated with surgical resection with rectal cancer presented with a 8-month history of gradually increasing dyspnea and non-productive cough. Clinical and radiological investigations revealed endobronchial metastasis involving, and penetrating, the lower carina and the left main bronchus. We confirmed endobronchial metastasis from the rectal carcinoma by bronchoscopic biopsy.

The unionid family Unionidae contains several genera in Korea, among which occru considerable variations in life histories and sexual conditions. Seven species from the Korea(Anodonta arcaeformis flavotincta, A. woodiana, Unio douglaseae, U. douglasiae sinuolatus, Lamprotula gottschei, Lanceolaria acrorhyncha, Solenaia triangularis)were stueide in order to identify and describe the seasonal gonadal activity and the visceral sex. The gonads of seven species were histologically examined by using the paraffin block technique for sectioning. All seven species were uniformly dioecious and testicular activity in six species except one species, S. triangularis, generated sperm-morulae(multinucleated cell). The annual reproductive cycle of the seven species could be classified into five successive stages; multicative, growing, mature, spent, deginerative and resting stages. The breeding season of six species was the summer and that of A. a. flavotincta was the winter.

The management of varicoceles was performed on 24 patients with testicular dragging pain and/or left lower abdominal pain under local anesthesia. The surgery was completed within 20 to 45 minites, postoperative complications were severe cord edema 3 cases, wound infection 1 case, epididymitis 1 case, and postoperative anesthetic duration was 90 to 150 minites. Therefore, these procedures is cost effective and safe surgical method.

Relationships between accumulations of endocrine disruptors and abnormalities in the reproductive organs in the adult male striped field mice, Apodemus agrarius, were reviewed. High levels of phenolic compounds were detected in the mice collected at an agricultural village in Gaduck island and at a place having a sewage problem in Samdong-myeon, Namhae. High levels of organo tin compounds were found in the mice collected at Jiri Mt. a tourist resort. Considerably high levels of phenolic or organo tin compounds were detected in mice with shrunken reproductive organs accounting for 14∼42% of the mice examined in each area, which suggests that the abnormality of reproductive organs may be induced by the endocrine disruptors. This hypothesis is strongly supported by histological observations of shrunken reproductive organs, such as necrosis of testicular germ and epithelial cells. This was found not only in the mice with shrunken reproductive organs but also in the mice with enlarged reproductive organs, both had accumulated high levels of endocrine disruptors in general.
