A super-regenerative receiver is designed and tested at 433 MHz ISM band, The designed receiver has the data rate of up to 200 kbps and a power consumption of 10 mW. We carried out the system performance test for the TX power of 0.1 mW and 1 m distance. The result of the bit-error rate test shows one bit error among the 4000 bits.

We tested the natural frequency for the 1st moving blades of a steam turbine in general power plants, carried out the modal test of the blade groups each natural frequency. By this test results, we identified the resonance results largely in damaging the blades. We can predict damage probability for the blade groups and change state of material property by using the result of this study.

We consider a multigrid algorithm for higher order finite difference scheme for the Poisson problem on rectangular domain. Several smoothers including Jacobi, Red-black Gauss-Seidel are tested and compared. Since higher order scheme gives much more accurate result then 5-point scheme, one may use small number of levels with higher order scheme and thus the overall cost is reduced quite a lot. The numerical experiment compares the two cases.

ISO 13784-1 sandwich panel tests were conducted by FILK, KICT in Korea, SP in Sweden and CSIRO in Australia. Sandwich panels composed of steel sheets, EPS and glass wool supplied by FILK were tested. Mainly heat release rate was compared and equality of distribution also analyzed on the point of statistical view based on ISO.

Chitosan has been known to have hypocholesterolemic and hypolipidemic effects in animal studies. Chitosan also absorbs bile acids in vitro and in vivo, which might result in the hypocholesterolemic action. Trialkyl chitosan derivatives were prepared and tested for bile acid absorption activity in vitro. The derivatives showed enhanced absorption capacities which were comparable to cholestyramine.

There are two kinds of irradiation intensity deviation, depending on time and position, on illuminated plane when thermal performance of solar collector is tested by using solar simulator. In this study we measured only position deviation of irradiation intensity using 45-cds photosensors and data acqusition system and found the point of average value. By this result we can improve the accuracy of irradiation measurement in indoor test of solar collector.

In this paper, we present a result of our study on how to construct a pilot MPACS (medical hic lure archiving and communication System) based on X -Window system. The proposed MPACS Is composed of image acquisition units, image archiving and processing units, display units, and all units are Interfaced with a LAN The image management is done according to the TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) , and the dis- play system is built upon generally accepted software packages, namely the X -Window system. Also, lossless and lossy digital image compression methods were implemented and tested with X -ray and CT images.

This paper presents an efficient method for real power loss minimization and for improvements in voltage profiles. This method is accomplished by optimal control of reactive power in the system. The problem is formulated as an optimization problem, suitable for solution by linear programming technique. After establishing the objective function for minimizing the system losses with the help of linearised sensitivity relationships of control variables, i. e., the transformer tap position, generator terminal voltages and switchable reactive power sources. The linear programming technique is used to determine the optimal adjustments to the above variables, simultaneously satisfying the constraints. The proposed algorithm has been tested on a sample system and the result is presented and discussed.

Eight singly reinforced high strength concrete beams without web reinforcement were tested to investigate their behavior and to determine their ultimate shear capacities. In this study, the main variable was the ration of longitudinal reinforcement. Test results were compared with strength predicted by using ACI code, Zsutty's dquation and Bazant & Kim's equation. As the result, for the beams of low steel ratio, the margin of safety in ACI code may be disappeared. It was shown that Zsutty.s equation well predict the trend of the test data.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate a effect of girder-column width ratio to PC wide girder-column joint. Three half scale subassemblies were representing a portion of a protype structure were design, constructed, and tested to failure. From the test result, girder-column width ratio play an important role in the improvement of strength and ductility.
