라벤더 꽃과 에센셜 오일의 향기 성분 분석 및 재현 (Analysis and Reproduction of Fragrance Components of Lavandula Angustifolia Flower and Essential Oil)

  • 본 연구에서는 수입에 의존되는 아로마 에센셜 오일의 의존도를 낮추고 국내 수요 및 재배가 늘고 있는 허브 식물의 가치를 높일 수 있는 차별 방안을 찾고자 SPME 법으로 국내 재배 라벤더 꽃의 원물 손상 없이 향기 성분만을 분석 재현해내는 연구를 통해 수입 라벤더 에센셜 오일과의 향기 구성성분 차이를 확인하고 국내 재배 허브 식물의 향기 독창성을 찾고자 한다. 라벤더 에센셜 오일은 총 38 종, 라벤더 꽃은 총 27 종의 향기 성분이 분석되었으며 이들 중 공통성분은 myrcene, d-limonene, 1,8-cineol, ocimene, p-cymene, α-terpinolene, camphor, linalool, linalyl acetate, bornyl acetate, 4-terpineol 및 a-terpineol 으로 총 12 종이 유일하였다. 또한 두 시료의 향기 구성성분 중 국내 재배 라벤더 꽃의 알러젠 종류와 함량이 적음을 확인할 수 있었으며 15 명의 패널을 대상으로 관능평가를 시행한 결과 국내 재배 라벤더 꽃 재현향이 종래까지 산업에 활용되어져 온 라벤더 에센셜 오일보다 높은 호감도를 나타내어 알러지 유발성분의 함량을 낮춘 라벤더향으로 산업화에 확대 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

유자 첨가 사료로 사용된 넙치의 휘발성 향미 성분 (Volatile Flavor Compounds of Olive Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) Fed Diets Supplemented with Yuza (Citrus junos Sieb ex Tanaka))

  • Volatile components in Olive Flounder fed diets containing 0, 2,5, 5.0, and 7.5% yuza (Citrus junas Sieb ex Tanaka) for 4 months were investigated. Samples were extracted by solid-phase micro extraction and analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. Among 89 compounds detected, 82 were positively identified. Volatile compounds of Olive Flounder fed the unsupplemented diet comprised 12 acids, 10 alcohols, eight aldehydes, five aromatic compounds, nine esters, 12 hydrocarbons, four ketones, two monoterpenes, and one miscellaneous compound. Compounds identified in Olive Flounder fed the yuza-supplemented diets consisted of 10 esters, 11 monoterpenes, 13 sesquiterpenes, and two miscellaneous compounds, with the other compounds being the same as in the control. The most abundant class of compounds in flounders fed the yuza-supplemented diet was the monoterpenes, which included limonene, $\beta$-terpinene, $\beta$-trans-ocimene, and $\alpha$-terpinolene. Of the 13 sesquiterpenes identified in flounder fed the yuza-supplemented diet, bicyclogermacrene was the major volatile compound followed by allo-aromadendrene, trans-caryophyllene, and $\delta$-cadinene. Bicyclogermacrene and germacrene D content increased significantly as the yuza supplementation increased.

소나무와 잣나무잎 정유성분의 생체학적 차이 (Biogenetic Differences in Essential Oil Constituents from the Leave of Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis)

  • The terpenoids are one of the secondary metabolities in Pinus species and functioned the protection them from insects or/and fungus etc. Since Pinus koraiensis has not any damage by Pine needle gall midge but Pinus densiflora has great injury by them in South Korea. It may great helf to find these reasons to analize their monoterpenenoids and to compare the seasonal variation of their amounts. Terpenoids were analized by GC, GC/MS. Some biogenetic analysis of terpenoids also was elucidated. The seasonal variation of terpenoid was distinguished at March and August and/or September. Most of major component of monoterpenes were increased or decreased in these periods in Pinus koraiensis. Especially 3-carene was showed significant variation between the period of physiological activity and the period of domain. The effect of infection by Pine needle gall midge was significant in Pinus densiflora for amount of monoterpene during the period of infection. The components of p-menthane series between Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis was recognized a significant difference during the experiment. Biogenetic cooccurrance of pmenthane series also was recognized between 3-carene and terpinolene in Pinus koraiensis.

천연 오미자 추출물의 약리, 화학적 특성 및 분석 (A study on the Pharmaceutical & Chemical Characteristics and Analysis of Natural Omija Extract)

  • Natural Omija belongs to magnoliaceae was known to possess natural odor, taste, color, and various pharmaceutical & chemical characteristics. Omija extraction was extracted using ethanol as a solvent. Omija extract showed a light red-violet color of viscous liquid state. Some conclusions from the result of characteristic experiment were obtained as follows. From the result of antimicrobial experiment, occurrence of staphylococuss aureus and aspergillus niger as microbes was decreased according to the passage of time. This phenomenon could know that Omija component is affected to antimicrobial effect. From the result of dye experiment, fiber dyeing showed with some ivory color after dyed to cotton and silk. This phenomenon could know that Omija component is affected to dyeing effect from observation of scanning electron microscope(SEM). From the result of instrument analysis, inorganic components of K(107.30ppm), Na(2.110ppm), Ca(0.935ppm), Mg(0.891ppm), Li(0.270ppm) etcs from Omija were detected with ICP/OES, and aromatic components of benzene(10.808), a-pinene(13.996), phenol(14.183), ${\beta}$-terpene(15.840), a-terpinolene(17.616) etcs from Omija were also detected with GC/MSD.

Comparison of the Cold-Pressed Peel Oil Composition between ]Korean and Japanese Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marcov. forma Miyagawa-wase) by GC, GC-MS and GC-O

  • The comparison of the volatile flavor components from Korean and Japanese Satsuma mandarin (C. unshiu Marcov. forma Miyagawa-wase) peel oils, isolated by cold-pressing, was performed by gas chromatography, mass-spectrometry and gas chromatography-olfactometry (GC-O). Eighty-five volatile components were identified in each oil by GC and GC-MS. Forty-three components were detected in each oil by GC-O. The total amount of monoterpene hydrocarbons was 95.88% (Korean mandarin) and 95.29% (Japanese mandarin). Limonene, ${\gamma}$-terpinene, myrcene and $\alpha$-pinene were the main components of the cold-pressed oils from the both samples. The volatile composition of the Japanese mandarin was characterized by a higher content of sesquiterpene hydrocarbons, especially bicyclogermacrene, $\alpha$-humullene and valencene. The volatile composition of two samples can easily be distinguished by the percentages of aldehydes, ketones and esters, which were found at higher levels in the Japanese mandarin. The sweet and fruity flavor was stronger in the Korean mandarin oil while herbaceous flavor was stronger in Japanese sample. From GC-O data it is suggested that the sweet and fruity flavor of the Korean mandarin resulted from terpinolene and linalool, and the herbaceous note of the Japanese mandarin from $\alpha$-humullene, nepal, ι-carvone and perill aldehyde.

볶은 쌀보리를 혼합한 녹차의 휘발성 향기성분 (Volatile Flavor Components in Green Tea Blended with Parched Naked Barley)

  • 중작녹차를 효율적으로 이용하여 좋은 향미와 기능성을 가진 차를 만들기 위해 덖은 쌀보리에 중작녹차를 혼합하였다. 쌀보리녹차의 휘발성 향기성분의 추출은 Likens and Nickerson형 추출 장치를 사용한 동시증류추출방법에 의해 완수였으며, 그 농축된 추출물은 GC (Gas chromatography)와 GC-MS (Gas chromatography - mass spectrometry)에 의해 분석되었다. 3-methylbutanal, 2-methylbutanal, 그리고 2,5-dimethyl pyrazine 등의 화합물이 쌀보리로부터 분리, 동정되었다. 그리고 녹차에서는 ${\alpha}$-terpinolene, indole, ${\beta}$-ionone 등을 포함한 화합물을 분리, 동정하였으며, 또한 쌀보리와 녹차를 혼합한 쌀보리녹차에서는 2,5-dimethyl pyrazine, indole, 3-ethyl-2,5-dimethyl pyrazine 등을 포함한 화합물들이 분리, 동정되었다. 그 결과로부터 일반 중작녹차보다 볶은 쌀보리와 녹차를 혼합한 쌀보리녹차가 관능적으로 더 좋은 향미를 주는 요인으로 작용하는 것 같았다.

E. coli 형질전환주의 공동배양에 의한 유자정유의 생전환 (Bioconversion of Citron oil by Co-Culture of E. coli EC3, EC4, and EC6)

  • 본 연구에서는 미생물의 대사체계를 이용하여 유자껍질내의 유자정유성분을 생전환 시키므로써 고부가가치 고기능성 천연향의 발굴 생산을 시도하였다. 유자정유 성분 대사능 유전자를 지닌 E. coli 형질전환주 EC3, EC4, EC6의 공동 배양액을 유자정유가 유일한 탄소원인 M9배지에서 28$^{\circ}C$로 진탕배양 하였다. 각 공동 배양액(EC3+EC4. EC3+EC6, EC4+EC6 and EC3+C4+EC6)은 각 형질전환주의 단독배양 보다 3∼4배 더 높은 생육도를 나타냄을 알 수 있었다. 공동배양에 의해 생전환된 물질들은 GC-MS에 의해 확인하였다. 각 공동배양액의 주요한 대사산물로는 linalool, 4-terpineol, ${\alpha}$-terpineol이 공통적으로 검출되었다. 소량씩 존재하나 배양액의 주요한 향을 결정할 것으로 보이는 각기 다른 terpene 계열 화합물들이 각각의 공동배양액 대사산물로 검출 되었는데, 공동배양액EC3+EC4에서는 elemol, ocimene, nonanal, trans-2-nonenal이 공동배양액EC3+EC6에서는 cis-ocimene, 2-octanol, octanal. ${\alpha}$-terpinolene, 공동배양액 C4+EC6에서는 ocimene, 그리고 공동배양액EC3+EC4+EC6에서는 nonanal, 2-octenol, iso-menthol, ocimene이 각각 검출되었다.

A Study on the General Characteristics and Instrumental Analysis of Natural Omija Extract

  • Omija component was known to possess natural odor, taste, color, and various general characteristics. Omija extraction was extracted using ethanol as a solvent. Omija extract showed a red-purple color of some viscous liquid state. Some conclusions from natural Omija extract were obtained as follow. The result of antimicrobial experiment to add Omija extract, the number of microbial population showed negative reaction from 3 days after it cultivated. This phenomenon could confirm that Omija component affected to antimicrobial effect. The result of dyeing experiment to add Omija extract, fiber dyeing effect showed with some ivory color after dyed to cotton and silk. Also, this phenomenon could confirm that Omija component affected to natural dyeing effect from observated dye state with biological microscope(BM). The result of instrumental analysis, inorganic components of K(109.60ppm), Na(3.500ppm), Ca(1.205ppm), Mg(0.900ppm), Li(0.350ppm), Si(0.380ppm), Cu(0.250ppm), Fe(0.125ppm), Zn(0.090ppm), etcs from Omija were ascertained with ICP/OES, and organic components of benzene(10.808), borny lacetate(11.289), phenol(14.183), ${\beta}$-terpinene(15.840), ${\alpha}$-terpinolene(17.616) etcs from Omija were ascertained with GC/MSD.

In Vitro and In Vivo Anti-Tobacco Mosaic Virus Activities of Essential Oils and Individual Compounds

  • Essential oils are increasingly of interest for use as novel drugs acting as antimicrobial and antiviral agents. In the present study, we report the in vitro antiviral activities of 29 essential oils, extracted from Chinese indigenous aromatic plants, against the tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). Of these essential oils, those oils from ginger, lemon, tea tree, tangerine peel, artemisia, and lemongrass effected a more than 50% inhibition of TMV at 100 ${\mu}g/ml$. In addition, the mode of antiviral action of the active essential oils was also determined. Essential oils isolated from artemisia and lemongrass possessed potent inactivation and curative effects in vivo and had a directly passivating effect on TMV infection in a dose-dependent manner. However, all other active essential oils exhibited a moderate protective effect in vivo. The chemical constitutions of the essential oils from ginger, lemon, tea tree, tangerine peel, artemisia, and lemongrass were identified by gas chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The major components of these essential oils were ${\alpha}$-zingiberene (35.21%), limonene (76.25%), terpinen-4-ol (41.20%), limonene (80.95%), 1,8-cineole (27.45%), and terpinolene (10.67%). The curative effects of 10 individual compounds from the active essential oils on TMV infection were also examined in vivo. The compounds from citronellal, limonene, 1,8-cineole, and ${\alpha}$-zingiberene effected a more than 40% inhibition rate for TMV infection, and the other compounds demonstrated moderate activities at 320 ${\mu}g/ml$ in vivo. There results indicate that the essential oils isolated from artemisia and lemongrass, and the individual compound citronellal, have the potential to be used as an effective alternative for the treatment of tobacco plants infected with TMV under greenhouse conditions.

삼백초, 구릿대, 천궁의 잎 향기성분 조성과 정유함량 (Essential Oil Content and Composition of Aromatic Constituents in Leaf of Saururus chinensis, Angelica dahurica and Cnidium officinale)

  • 본 연구는 방향성 약용작물인 삼백초, 구릿대, 천궁의 향기 성분 조성과 식물정유 함량을 조사하여 향료업과 관련된 다양한 식품첨가물 또는 향원 가능성을 알아보기 위하여 몇가지 실험한 결과를 요약하면 아래와 같다. 1. 삼백초의 향기성분은 22종으로 1,6-octadien-3-ol, 1, 3-benzodioxole, myristicin, ${\alpha}-cadinol$, patchouene였고 조성은 alcohol류 6종, ester류 1종, ether류 2종, hydrocarbon류 11종, ketone류 1종, fatty acid류 1종이었다. 2. 구릿대의 향기성분은 14종으로 주요 성분은 3-carene, ${\beta}-caryophyllene$, ${\beta}-cubebene$, butylated hydroxytoluene, caryophyllene oxide, piperonal이었고 조성은 alcohol류 1종, ester류 1종, ether류 1종, hydrocarbon류 10종, aldehyde류 1종이었다. 3. 천궁의 향기성분은 16종으로 주요성분은 aristolene, benzocycloheptene, ylangene, valencene, ${\beta}-cedrene$, satene, and menthofuran이었고 조성은 alcohol류 2종, ether류 1종, hydrocarbon류 12종. furan류 1종이었다. 4. 삼백초, 구릿대 및 천궁 잎의 식물정유 함량은 각각 0.987%, 0.452%, 0.439%로 삼백초가 가장 높은 함량을 보였다.
