  • Direct numerical simulations (DNSs) of ignition of lean primary reference fuel (PRF)/air mixtures under homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) conditions are performed using 116-species reduced chemistry. The influence of variations in the initial temperature field, imposed by changing the variance of temperature, and the fuel composition on ignition of lean PRF/air mixtures is studied using the displacement speed analysis.

  • A new method for measuring optical phase changes of reflection beam from optical mirror is proposed. The optical phase change is liable to change with varying atmosphere conditions. This optical phase changes are measured against air pressure, temperature, humidity and CO$\_$2/ concentration variations. It is clarified that the optical phase changes are most effected by humidity change.

  • Theoretical studies are performed for a nonisothermal CFSTR in which consecutive reactions take place. The local dynamic stability of an unstable steady state is investigated with relation to variations in the controller gain when the temperature is subjected to a proportional control. The control has significant in fluences upon the stability of the high temperature steady state as well as that of the intermediate steady state.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the variations of the properties of matters according to the heated temperature of inorganic insulation. As a result, form the variation of heat conductivity and maintaining from of insulation, the range of reusable heated temperature of inorganic insulation is as follows. Glass wool : $400^{\circ}C$, Rock wool : $600^{\circ}C$, Perlite : $800^{\circ}C$.

  • In this paper, multilayer piezoelectric actuator was fabricated in order to develop ultrasonic linear motor. Multilayer actuator showed a high density of 7.78[$g/cm^3$], a large effective electromechanical coupling factor($K_{eff}$) of 0.259, a high mechanical quality factor( Qm ') of 1301, and high capacitance(c) of 19.32[nF]. Curie temperature was $343[^{\circ}C]$.

  • The dual-phase lag heat transfer model is employed to study the problem of isotropic generalized thermoelastic medium with internal heat source. The normal mode analysis is used to obtain the exact expressions for displacement components, force stress and temperature distribution. The variations of the considered variables through the horizontal distance are illustrated graphically. The results are discussed and depicted graphically.

  • The separation characteristics were investigated with the variations of pressure and temperature using ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membrane module sets composed of different membrane types and materials. TDS, T-N and COD removal efficiencies were not affected and low with the change of temperature and pressure in case of using UF modules contained in module set 1, 2, 3. TDS, T-N and COD removal efficiencies were very high in RO modules. The final water quality of acrylic wastewater was satisfied within the discharge limit value of plant wastewater. It was known that membrane module sets could be used for the reuse of wastewater.

  • In order to contribute to trial of the ocean weather forecasts, we have developed new generation sea surface temperature. It is clod free, high-spatial resolution daily SST product, which enables us to follow the movements of SST patterns relating to the oceanic variations. The product is produced through an objective analysis merging various infrared and microwave SST products.

  • This investigation is focused on the variations in transversely isotropic thick circular plate due to time harmonic thermomechanical sources. The homogeneous thick circular plate in presence and absence of energy dissipation and two temperatures has been considered. Hankel transform is used for solving field equations. The analytical expressions of conductive temperature, displacement components, and stress components are computed in the transformed domain. The effects of frequency at different values are represented graphically. Some specific cases are also figured out from the current research.
