인터넷 기반 이동로봇의 원격제어 (Internet Based Remote Control of a Mobile Robot)

  • With rapidly growing of computer and internet technology, Internet-based tote-operation of robotic systems has created new opportunities in resource sharing, long-distance learning, and remote experimentation. In this paper, remote control system of a mobile robot through the internet has been designed. The internet users can access and command a mobile robot in the real time, receiving the robot's sensor data. The overall system has been tested and its usefulness shown through the experimental results.

가변적인 통신지연시간을 갖는 원격 작업 환경을 위한 실시간 햅틱 렌더링 (Real-Time Haptic Rendering for Tele-operation with Varying Communication Time Delay)

  • This paper presents a real-time haptic rendering method for a realistic force feedback in a remote environment with varying communication time-delay. The remote environment is assumed as a virtual environment based on a computer graphics, for example, on-line shopping mall, internet game and cyber-education. The properties of a virtual object such as stiffness and viscosity are assumed to be unknown because they are changed according to the contact position and/or a penetrated depth into the object. The DARMAX model based output estimator is proposed to trace the correct impedance of the virtual object in real-time. The output estimator is developed on the input-output relationship. It can trace the varying impedance in real-time by virtue of P-matrix resetting algorithm. And the estimator can trace the correct impedance by using a white noise that prevents the biased input-output information. Realistic output forces are generated in real-time, by using the inputs and the estimated impedance, even though the communication time delay and the impedance of the virtual object are unknown and changed. The generated forces trace the analytical forces computed from the virtual model of the remote environment. Performance is demonstrated by experiments with a 1-dof haptic device and a spring-damper-based virtual model.

유한요소 해석을 이용한 초탄성체 햅틱 피드백 연구 (Hyper-elastic Model Haptic Feedback Using Finite Element Analysis)

  • In this study, we establish hyper-elastic haptic feedback in a virtual environment using finite element analysis techniques and develop a Force Torque (FT) sensor utilization method for application in tele-operation environments. In general, regarding haptic feedback data, in a tele-operation environment, the user is provided with feedback according to the measured force data when the model is inserted through an FT sensor. Conversely, in a virtual environment, the press-fitting model can be expressed through the spring-damper system rather than an FT sensor to provide feedback. However, unlike rigid and the elastic bodies, the hyper-elastic body represented by a spring-damper system in a virtual environment is a simple impedance model using stiffness and damping coefficients; it is limited in terms of providing actual feedback. Thus, in this study, haptic feedback was implemented using the data obtained from POD-RBF analysis results during hyper-elastic press-fitting experiments. The haptic feedback mechanism developed in this study was verified by comparing the FT sensor feedback data measured and calculated through hyper-elastic press-fitting experiments with spring-damper feedback data. Subsequently, the POD-RBF analysis feedback was compared and evaluated against the feedback mechanism of each environment through the test subject, and the similarities between the POD-RBF analysis feedback and FT sensor data feedback were verified.

  • The control system design and modeling of an unmanned vehicle by means of a new concept for better performance through a tole-operation system is suggested by sensor fusion. But, the control of a real vehicle is very difficult, because the system identification of the vehicle is hard to find the unknown factors and the disturbances of the experimental environment. For the longitudinal and lateral controls, the traction system and steering system models are set up and a tuning method to find the gain of the controller by experiments is presented. In this research, mechanical and electronic parts are implemented to operate the unmanned vehicle and data reconstruction method of information about the environment data coming from several sensors is presented by data plot for the vehicle navigation. This paper focuses on the integration of tole-operated unmanned vehicle. This vehicle mainly controlled lateral and longitudinal directions with actuators for controlling vehicle movement and sensors for the closed-loop controlled system.

  • In this paper, we propose a remote control system which is used by internet network system in the small water booster supply. So far, TMTC(Tele Metering Tele Control) has been used to control and monitor small water booster pump. But it is possible and easy to control and observe local booster panel with the rapid development of internet, This new system is to provide operators and managers with sufficient information and control in order to implement the operation in an efficient and economical way. This system consists of three parts that are controller, netpump server and netview client. Controller has a dual architecture. The motive for installing controller is the continuous production and supply of drinking water.

  • A new monitoring system is proposed to give direct visual information of the remote site when working with a tele-operation system. In order to have a similar behavior of a human when he is inspecting an object, multiple cameras that have different view point are attached around the robot hand and are switched on and elf according to the operator´s motion such as joystick manipulation or operator´s head movement.   • Existing ATC/ATO/TWC system has a ATC(Automatic Train Control) antenna for receiving the speed code, a ATO(Automatic Train Operation) antenna for obtaining the exact distance to go to platform and TWC(Train and Wayside Communication) antenna for communication between on-board and wayside system. This paper proposes the ATO/TWC antenna with tele-powering module, telegram transmitter/receiver module. This antenna communicates with a passive type tag(wayside Precision Stop Marker) for the information of distance from the stop position and a active type tag for the door command and status in the platform.

  • 본 논문에서는 원격제어 시스템의 시간지연 문제를 분석하고 그 문제를 신경망으로 보상한다. 스미스 예측기는 시간지연 시스템에서 정확한 모델을 필요로 한다. 스미스 예측기의 모델링 오차를 보상하기 위해 신경회로망을 사용한다. 스미스 예측기를 구성하기 위해 Radial Basis Function(RBF) 신경회로망이 사용된다. 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 제안하는 방법의 동작을 검증한다.

  • This paper relates to develop the human-mobile interface system using saccadic eye movements as an aid to the disabled. EOG(ElectroOculoGraphy) method is used to measure the potentials of rapid eye movements because the method is not expensive and the device is simple. But because the resolution and accuracy of this signal are not good, the algorithm to remove the drifting, using ideal velocity shape, is applied to process the signals. The mobile robot (POSTUR-II) used in this system was developed in Robot & Bio-mechatronics laboratory in POSTECH and has the tele-operation system for the tele-communication with a main computer. Our Research is to help the physically disabled except his eye movements to operate some works with the mobile. Our Results about the system's possibility will be showed by some experimental tests giving the point information to the mobile by eye-gaze.

  • 밀폐 및 차폐 공간을 갖는 핫셀에서 사용후핵연료와 같은 고방사선 물질을 취급하고 있으며, 핵주기시설에서 마스터-슬레이브 매니퓰레이터는 원격취급장비로서 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 차세대관리공정의 디지털 목업을 구축하고 원격유지보수를 위한 매니퓰레이터의 작업영역 및 작업분석을 수행하였다. 실제 환경과 동일한 가상 작업환경을 갖는 디지털 목업은 3차원 그래픽으로 모델링 된 공정장치 및 원격 취급장비들로 구성된다. 모델링 된 매니퓰레이터는 기구학 및 동작범위에 대한 속성을 부여되고 외부 입력장치는 space ball을 사용하여 매니퓰레이터의 동작을 구현하였다. 또한, Tele-operation 인터페이스를 사용하여 6축 외부 입력장치와 연계한 시스템을 개발하였으며 외부 입력에 따른 매니퓰레이터의 동작에 대한 동기는 만족할 만한 응답을 보였다. 이는 가상환경에서 작업자 교육을 위한 시스템 개발에 유용할 것이다.
