This paper has analyzed contents of copyright education in Informatics textbook in middle school curriculum and has proposed ways to enhance copyright education. In this paper, we have analyzed Informatics curriculum, authorized textbook, and teacher's guide book for middle school revised in 2007 and have extracted contents and systems of copyright education in Informatics course. We examined studies on the copyright education and analyzed on the basis of interest, understanding, usage, and practice of copyright. As a result, copyright education has turned out to be focused on 2nd level of information society and information technology. We found that copyright education was necessary both directly and indirectly in various parts and levels in that it is an optional subjects. This paper suggests the possibility of copyright education in Informatics curriculum for middle school and the copyright education is expected to be reinforced.

The purpose of this study was to compare the content of 'Management of Resource and Environment' area in middle school Home Economics textbook with other middle school subject textbooks. The middle school textbooks of Korean. Mathematics. Social Science. Science. Ethics. Technology. Arts. Music, and Physical Education were analyzed how the contents of these textbooks were similar to or different from those of 'Management of Resource and Environment' area in Home Economics textbooks. The contents of 8 subject textbooks except Music were related with those of 'Management of Resource and Environment' area in Home Economics textbooks. The content of Social Science was the most similar to 'Management of Resource and Environment' area in Home Economics textbooks although perspectives and focus were somewhat different. The unit of Home Economics textbook most related with contents of other subject textbooks was' Our Consumption Lives'. while 'Management of Time and Work for Adolescence' is the unit of Home Economics textbook least related with contents of other subject textbooks. However. similar contents were dealt with different focus and depth in textbooks according to objectives and characteristics of subject.

This study is basic research about actualizing mathematical teaching and learning based on storytelling that is raised for reforming school mathematics education. We have developed mathematics textbook model for 2nd grade in middle school based on storytelling. It was applied in the middle school classroom and the results were analyzed. In order to develop the mathematics textbook model, the procedures and methods of development were extracted from the literature. And mathematics textbook model was developed in accordance with the process and methods. To apply it in school 20 hours of instruction were carried out. For the analysis of the results, we conducted a questionnaire survey, the teachers' interview, the affective test and math anxiety test. Through the results of this study, we will be able to check the possibility of storytelling in mathematics class. And it will be also the foundation of mathematics teaching and learning based on storytelling in middle school.

The purpose of this study is to develop the 'Engineering Team Mission Project Education Program and Textbook', which is improved creativity and creative problem for Juniors(middle school students) that is in the growth stage to become the leading role in future society. This can be applied the creative experience activities time of revised curriculum in 2009 being implemented to secondary education by 2011. The results of this study are as follows. The formation of Team Mission Project Education Program is the big field 2 project, lower field 8 module and 38 total lessons. This education program has secured the validity of the SME(Subject Matter Expert) expert conference. Actually, by putting the education program and textbook to the invention talent class formed by middle school students and by normally analyzing, it has been analyzed as very satisfying result. Therefore, the "Engineering Team Mission Project Education Program and Textbook" can be provided as a practical education course of new talent training and engineering talent model of the nation's knowledge property education. And it can perform as an education program using usefully in the creative experience activity education course in middle class education stage. Also, it is concluded to become the basis of engineering design education's high grade education and department of engineering's creative engineering.

This study intends to provide implications about sluggish use of calculators in our case by analyzing the math textbook of U.S. Macmillan/McGraw-Hill along with the tendency of paying more attention to math class using technologies. From the results of analysis, this textbook deals with various methods over around 3.3% of all pages, using calculators across all grades from 1st to 6th grade. In particular, it offers guidance into three types such as 'Choose a Computation Method', 'You can also use a calculator.', and 'TECHNOLOGY LINK', while particularly it is impressive in the perspective of using calculators as one of calculation strategies. And case studies of usage in textbooks describe 8 different perspectives as an example-represent; solve problems or equations; develope or demonstrate conceptual understanding; analyze; compute or estimate; describe, explain or justify; choose appropriate calculation method; determine a calculated answer's reasonableness. Reflecting on the fact that we still use calculators in a passive way, there are considerable implications to us.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the elements of activating happiness education suggested by Noddings is reflected in the Home Economics part of Middle School Technology-Home Economics Textbook Volume 1 of 2009 Curriculum Revision. The introduction style of unit, sub-unit, and small chapter, the objectives, the body contents, the activity resources, the tables/diagrams/pictures, the supplementry and advancedl materials, and the wrap-up and evaluation of sub-unit and units of Home Economics part of Technology Home Economics textbook volume 1 were analyzed. Noddings suggested the elements for activating happiness education in five areas of personal life sector including 'home making', 'place and nature', 'parenting', 'chracter and spiriual experiences', and 'growth of interpersonal relationships' and two areas of public one including 'preperation for work' and 'community, democracy and voluntary activities'. The specific elements in seven sectors of activating happiness education were extracted using the content analysis. How the elements of those suggested by Noddings were reflected in the various parts of the textbook were analyzed in terms of the closeness of approaches, contents, and procedures between Noddings's and textbook. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1. The degree to which the elements of activating happiness education were reflected in the textbook differed by each unit. The elements of activating happiness education were reflected the most frequently in the unit of 'Understanding Adolescence' and the least frequently in the unit of 'Self-management of Adolescence'. 2. Although the elements of activating happiness education were generally reflected in all the elements of a textbook, these elements were relatively more reflected in the body contents and tables/diagrams/pictures.

This study aims to provide an understanding and information of the new curriculum by comparing 12 kinds of Technology and Home Economics textbooks(Clothing Life section) that reflect the 2015 revised. Results revealed that most of the textbooks' unit arrangements consisted of the introduction, development, and summary. In addition, we examined the advantages of current textbooks and suggested future improvement directions. The analysis of volume revealed that the largest textbook was 38 pages and the smallest was 24 pages. In addition, the learning objectives by unit a little bit differed for each textbook. The illustrations in the textbooks were primarily figures followed by photographs, tables, and graphs. The number of textbooks with the largest amount of illustrations was 69 and those with the least were 38, indicating a significant difference. As for career, 8 textbooks of 12 textbooks reflected related contents. The number of units, volumes of the clothing life section, and ratio of illustrations used in each textbook were different, but the contents were similar. Most of the contents of the 2009 textbooks are mostly included and the meaning of clothing, clothing purchasing, dress code, and creative clothing life are added on 2015 revised textbooks. Furthermore the educational objectives have extended to wide range and provides concrete guidelines to foster human resources that will lead the future society.

The purpose of this study was to examine acceptance factors that affect the intention to use digital textbook. The results are as follow. First, the quality characteristic factor has significant effects on the ease of use, the usefulness of use, and the intention of use. Second, the ease of use appeared to be a significant impact on the usefulness of the use. The usefulness of digital textbook appeared to be a significant impact on the intention of use. The results show that the quality characteristics consisted of six components: personalization, mobility, stability, accuracy, responsiveness, and accessibility. The results can suggest important implications for the development of digital textbook contents and system.

The Safe Life is an essential subject of education introduced in the 2015 revised curriculum for first and second graders of elementary school to cultivate safety awareness. This study aims to explore the relationship between concepts and concepts that are important in the Safe Life textbook using a keyword network analysis. The results indicate that the areas of life safety, traffic safety, and disaster safety are emphasized in terms of topics in the textbook. The teaching and learning methods for the Safe Life education are mainly based on "experience" and "practice," and the most common teaching materials are card games and sticky stickers. Based on the findings, we suggest maintaining the experience-oriented safety education approach and diversifying the teaching and learning materials and methods to incorporate various safety education areas.

The purpose of this study is to develop vocational English textbooks for vocational high school, especially marine production high school. Vocational English is intended to increase English proficiency in the area of specific industry or jobs. Based on the review of the literature, the study established developed vocational English textbooks for marine production high school based on the modular system. The developing process includes analysis for marine production job, marine production high school and current English textbook for marine production. Based on the analysis, this study developed English contents which marine production students utilize in not only school but also workplace. Also, this study suggests future research directions for effective development and use of the textbooks in the vocational high schools.
