Purpose - The main purpose of this study is thus to investigate the contingent effect of imitation strategies on firm performance in transition economies such as China, focusing on pure and creative imitation. Design/methodology - We conducted a survey targeting department heads of each company who have more than 10 years work experiences. We assessed that the ability to gain trust and to access information from high-ranking informants would be greater if the firms were from the same country - Korea - as the lead researcher. A total of 200 highly reliable samples were obtained, which could effectively explain the nine variables set in the study. Relevant hypotheses were tested using a hierarchical linear model (HLM). Findings - The findings suggest that SMEs' technology level also had a positive impact on performance. Firms with better technology had a positive impact on performance, irrespective of pure or creative imitation. This reflects the cases where many Korean SMEs entering China without high technology level lose their competitiveness due to Chinese firms' technology catch-up within a short period of time. Originality/value - SMEs that lack technology and know-how need to focus on pure imitation strategies. It is possible that SMEs can perform creative imitation, but it seems difficult under the current circumstances. Therefore, SMEs with limitations in technology and know-how should maintain their competitive advantage for a while, by maintaining their pure imitation strategy.

The relative efficiency of loan projects of information technology promotion fund is measured using Data Envelopment Analysis. Information technology promotion project is supervised by the Ministry of Information and Communication and is managed by the Institute of Information Technology Assessment. Among all the projects of information technology supported by this fund, this study deals with the themes that have been completed from 2000 to 2002. With multiple input and output data including the amount of fund, the period of study, the rate of increase in revenue, the increase in the amount of export and the increase in the number of patent, the relative efficiency scores of all the 119 subjects were calculated in CCR and BCC models of DEA. From the reference sets of some inefficient Decision Making Units, the causes of their inefficiency were analyzed. To compare the relative efficiencies among various DMUs, Super-Efficiency Ranking Method and Logistic Regression Model were used. As the result of this study, it was shown that W promotion funds in the fields related to mobile technology, visual equipment and communication device were used most efficiently.

본 논문은 정보검색에서 사용자에게 순서화된 문서를 제시하기 이전에 1차로 검색된 문서들에 대하여 자동 키워드망과 2단계로 문서 순위 결정하는 모델에 대하여 논하였다. 자연어 검색을 위한 색인은 자동으로 구축된 키워드 색인으로 1차로 자연어 검색을 하고, 2차로 자동 키워드망을 이용한 순위재조정을 통해 검색효율의 향상에 관해 검색 효율을 평가하여 1차 검색 결과보다 최대 10.9%의 검색효율 향상을 보였다. 또한 문서 순위 조정 방법에 있어서 여러 가지 공식을 비교 분석하였으며 내용 검색을 반영하는 공식을 찾았다. 본 논문에서 제시한 2단계 순위 결정 방법은 리스트를 기반으로 하는 정보 검색의 분야에 적용되어 검색효율을 높일 수 있는 한가지 방법이 될 수 있을 것이다.

In selecting the best project in multi-criteria decision making problems, the imperfect information of consequence and the vague preference of the decision maker(DM) would make the decision analysis more complex together with the conflict of several criteria. In this context, a method is proposed to deal the fuzzy information mentioned before instead of reducing it to a single representative value. And, based on the given imprecise information, projects are ranked completely or partially according to DM's vague preference. The procedure consists, for each pair of projects, of calculating the degree of supporting over all criteria and the degree of opposing with respect to each criterion for their outranking relation. Together with weights for each criterion, these indices produce fuzzy outranking relations for each pair of projects. And a complete or partial ranking of projects is obtained according to outranking degrees considering the interdependence among projects.

본 논문에서는 퍼지숫자를 정렬하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 사용자의 관심도나 선호도를 반영할 수 있는 방법을 제공하며, 퍼지숫자의 전체적인 가능성분포를 고려하는 평가함수를 방법은 사용자가 제사한 퍼지 집합과 만족도 함수(satisfaction fuction)를 이용하여 정렬 대상이 되는 퍼지숫자를 평가한 후 그 평가값에 따라서 순위를 정하게 된다. 만족도 함수는 두 퍼지숫자의 비교를 위해서 이전에 제안된 방법으로 퍼지숫자의 전체적인 가능성을 고려하는 특징이 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 방법을 퍼지숫자 정렬에 적용한 예와 기존의 방법과 비교한 결과를 보이며, 응용 예로서 의사결정의 문제에 적용한 결과를 제시한다.

The Urban park plays a significant role as an ideal space for residents. In this sense, Seoul city established a criterion for urban park system according to the park size per person in each district of Seoul. However, that criterion tends not to meet the residents behavioral patterns and interaction dynamics between districts. The objective of this study is to establish the demand forecasting of urban park in Seoul. The result of this study shows that the priority of designating park area is changed greatly when interaction dynamics between districts is taken into account.

A methodology for the objective evaluation of water repellency is studied using image analysis of the sprayed pattern on woven fabrics according to a standard spray test (AATCC Test Method 22-2001). The wet area ratio obtained from the spray standard test ranking is found to be exponentially related with its water repellency rating. Mean filtering is used to remove the effect of weave texture and the transmitted light through interyarn spaces. The ring frame of the instrument and wet region are recognized using Otsu thresholding technique. And Hough transform and outline operation are used to obtain the size and position of the ring frame. The objective assessment of the water repellency using image processing can reduce unnecessary confusion in the subjective determination of the water repellency.

본 논문에서는 현재 검색 엔진의 랭킹 방식의 문제점과 인터페이스의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 노력하였다. 기존의 페이지간 링크와 같은 부가적 정보를 이용한 인기도 기반 랭킹의 문제점을 단어간의 수식 관계를 이용한 의미 기반 랭킹 알고리즘의 제시를 통해 해결하였다. 또한 검색어와 연관된 단어를 수식 관계를 이용하 계산, 시각화하여 제공함으로써 사용자가 잘못된 검색어로 검색을 시작하였더라도 항상 올바른 검색 결과를 얻을 수 있도록 도왔으며 각 검색 결과와 함께 원문을 요약해 제공함으로써 검색 결과를 일일이 클릭해 보지 않고도 내용을 쉽게 유추할 수 있도록 도왔다.

최근 인터넷 및 컴퓨터의 사용이 활발해짐에 따라 문서의 디지털화가 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 이런 변화에 따라 수학식이 많이 사용되는 과학, 공학, 수학 등의 분야와 관련된 문서들을 검색해야할 필요성이 늘어가고 있다. 그러나 현재 일반 검색엔진은 텍스트 검색만을 제공하며 별도의 수학식 검색은 제공하지 않는다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 수학식 검색이 가능하도록 수학식의 색인 방법 및 랭킹 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 색인 방법은 MathML로 입력되는 수학식을 후위 표기법과 일반 색인 방법의 두 가지로 색인하며, 언어모델을 사용하여 질의에 적합한 수학식을 랭킹한다. 일반 검색 엔진의 성능과 비교하기 위하여 2-포아송 모델과 제안 모델을 비교하였으며, 그 결과 제안 모델의 성능이 더 우수함을 보였다.

본 논문은 중심화 이론을 바탕으로 한국어에서 전향적 중심의 서열을 설정하는데 그 목적이 있다. 선행 연구들에서 전향적 중심 서열에 포함시킨 요인들 즉, '주어, 주제, 공감도'를 중심으로 이들 사이의 선호도, 또는 서열에 대한 면밀한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 그 요인들 사이의 서열을 비교하는 데에 적합한 담화를 고안한 후 이를 설문 조사를 하였고, 그 결과를 분석하였다. 아울러 본 연구에서는 중심화 이론에서 제안하는 '추이 상태'와 함께 중심으로 해석되는 경향을 고려하였다. 이를 통해 '주제 > 주어 > 목적어'의 전향적 중심 서 열을 얻었다. 또한, 화 청자를 전향적 중심의 서열 설정에 포함시키는 선행 연구를 검토하면서, 화 청자를 포함시키는 대신 담화 분절의 가능성을 제안하는 바이다.
