This paper describes an architecture platform and a key of features for a two-way pager system that will be commercially serviced in Korea, compares with it and other country's system, and analyzes the result. Also, 1 describes possible service features and new kinds of service for the two-way pager system. From the result of analysis, I presented a technical standard of radio quality for the two-way pager system.

Safety of breaking facility is very important in subway safety, especially in case of subway that many people used, breaking capability is connected directly with safety and capability of vehicle. Recently, direction of subway technical development is established as passenger's convenience and agreeableness. However, we are known importance of safety in subway through Dae-gu subway incendiary case. Subway accident not happen only fire, vehicle collisions or passenger's fall to the track can happen. In this case, safety standard of breaking facilities is very important. so this paper define safety of breaking facilities and take proper that standard.

A kind of image analysis system is used to investigate the structural features of the papers made from Indian mallow. The screen mark on the paper was identified and analyzed. The dusts, shives and fiber bundles were manifested and calculated. In the aspect of Indian mallow hanji's surface characteristics analyzed by an Image analyzer, the average of gray level and its standard deviation hanji from the woody core were rather lower than of bast fiber pulp because of better sheet formation of the formers. Hower. high brightness hanji showed high value of gray level. The sheet formation and paper opacity were increased with the decrease of standard deviation of gray level. From these results, gray level measurement could be used to predict the paper opacity as well as sheet formation.

TSI(Technical Specification for Interoperability) is the highest technical specification in the Europe Railway and is composed by assessment items and essential requirements included by safety, reliability, availability, health, environment protection and technical compatibility. It is used on the research and development in the next generation railway technical. Currently, TSI procedures have been asked to bid for high speed rail business in Europe and Brazil. Also, all the railway systems such as infrastructure, signaling, electric and rolling stock system corresponding with standard of TSI procedures are exported and imported. Recently, Safety Critical System which has been studied on future railway R&D business in Korea is the state of the art train control system. And it is needed for system assessment of TSI procedures before system test and operation. In this paper, basic research is performed for analyzing TSI procedures suitable for the state of the art train control system in Korean railway.

The military services have sought to improve the overall quality, management, and delivery of military technical information in all of its aspects. The efforts concentrated on developing IETM(Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) by using the application of computer technology for the storage, control, and presentation of maintenance, system-operation, training, and other forms of logistic-support technical information. In this paper, the methodologies are presented to evaluate the operational effectiveness of IETM which consists of confirmity and performance. Confirmity is evaluated by the check-sheet based on the standard of CALS, and performance by the comparison of the technician performance between IETM and paper-TM.

It is challenging to build the integrated information system for a large scale cooperative R & D project. To develop the aircraft program which especially has several leading agencies and is supported by many demestic/foreign participating companies, the common data flow in harmony is the core factor to achieve a development goal. For this, the development are carried out maintaining the existing management systems of agencies and companies. As a first step, the standard for the common data information and the classification category of technical data are defined. Second, the work flow standards are also set. Based on the foundation, the efficient technical data management system are built including the function of storage, inquiry, revision, link, approval, submission, etc.

This paper presents an experimental study on socket base connections of precast reinforced concrete columns. The main purpose of this study is to determine socket base connection which has the closest behavior to monolithic casted column-base joints. For this purpose, six specimens having different column-socket base connection details were tested under cyclic loading. For each test, strength, stiffness, ductility and drift ratios of the specimens were determined. Test results indicated that a suggested connection type is 10%-30% stronger than the other type of connections under lateral loading. The welded connection (PC-5) had better lateral load carrying capacity and ductility. On the other hand, performance of standard connection (PC-1) which is commonly used in construction was weaker than other connections. Thus, decision of connection type should be referred not only performance but also applicability.

In this study. a technical report management system using optical technology is described in detail. This management system is designed for both bibliographic (character) and full-text (image) information. Several optical filing systems already on the Korean market are scrutinized and compared with standard functions in order to build a more efficient management system for technical reports which can be easily integrated into existing KRISS library automation system. For that purpose, up-to-date technologies (i.e., digital image PI-ocessing (DIP), MARC standards, and optical character recognition (OCR), etc.) are applied to this system.

소방대상물에 기 설치되어 있는 연기감지기에 대한 정밀한 감지 성능 시험의 요구에 부응하기 위하여 현장에서 국내 기술기준에 적합하게 시험할 수 있는 휴대용 연기감도 시험기에 대하여 연구하였다. 휴대용 연기감도시험기는 점검 현장에서 간이로 감도시험을 할 수 있도록 연기원으로 동양 2호지를 사용하여 연기를 발생시키고, 농도를 제어하고 일정풍속 유지가 가능하여 현장에 설치된 연기감지기의 정밀한 시험이 가능하도록 하였다.
