본 연구는 공과대학생들의 수학 학습 능력 향상을 위한 효과적인 교수-학습 모형을 개발하고 활용 방안을 제안하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 교수-학습과정에서 중요한 변인으로 작용하는 학생들의 학습양식과 수학학습태도를 조사하여 둘 사이의 연관성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 연구대상자들은 의존적이고 참여적인 성향이 강한 것으로 파악되었기 때문에, 이런 성향의 학습자들이 능동적이고 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 교수-학습 모형을 개발하기 위해 노력하였다. 개발된 교수-학습 모형을 한 학기 공업수학 강좌에 적용한 후 학생들의 반응을 조사한 결과, 이 모형은 공과대학생들이 메타인지적으로 자기 학습과정을 진단하고 조정하는 능력을 향상시켜 자기주도적으로 학습하는데 도움이 될 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 학생들이 수업에 적극적으로 참여하고 수학 학습에 긍정적인 태도를 갖게 하는데도 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다.

최근 교사의 전문성 중 가장 핵심이 되는 수업 전문성이 강조되고 있다. 특히 2012년 수학교육선진화 방안 발표 후 수학 교사의 수업 능력의 중요성이 강조되었다. 수학 교사의 수업능력 향상을 위해서는 예비수학교사 시기에서부터 교육 경험이 필요하다. 예비수학교사의 수업 능력 개발 및 강화를 위해서는 교육적 실행과 관련하여 자신의 실천을 체계적으로 반성하고 개선해 나아가는 경험이 필요하다. 즉, 반성적 사고와 실천적 지식의 함양을 위한 수업 실습에 관한 이론과 실천 양면의 체계적인 실행과 지도가 필요하다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 예비수학교사의 수업능력 향상을 위해 실행 가능한 교수-학습 포트폴리오의 구성요소 및 적용절차를 개발하였다. 또한 수업능력 향상을 위한 교수-학습 포트폴리오 작성 후 설문조사를 통하여 예비수학교사의 수업능력 향상에 효과적이었으며, 수학교사 교육을 위한 발전적인 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다.

The purpose of this paper is to investigatethe relationship between Korean elementary teachers' teaching practice and students' perceptions of classroom learning environment. It is important to examine whether teachers conceive of mathematics and their teaching practice are consistent with their actual teaching mathematics in classroom. To do so, two reform-oriented and two traditionally-oriented elementary teachers in Seoul and a total of 130 students from these four selected teachers' classes participated in the present study Using classroom environment survey scale [CES] the differences in students' perceptions on classroom learning environment were examined. The results show that students taught by reform-oriented teachers have significantly higher score in the area of participation, relevance, and commitment to learning than traditionally-oriented group of students. Thus, we may conclude that the reform-oriented group of students have more benefits in learning mathematics than do the traditionally-oriented group of students.

The constructivism is an important stream of the recent trends of mathematics education. In order for students to construct their knowledge for themselves, above all, it should be a prerequisite that they participate in actively, Using games helps students to participate in learning mathematics actively. I think, up to now, mathematics teachers use games mainly for motivation and it does not connect to true learning mathematics through using games. So, the purposes of this study are developing the mathematical games connecting to mathematical contents closely, designing the teaching models to connect game activities to learning mathematics, and developing several teaching plans using games to mathematics class. In this study, I propose what conditions 'good' game should have, classify games as practice game, concept learning game, and strategy game, and develop 43 games from 1 to 6 grade. And I design the teaching models depending on the game types and develop the teaching plans.

This paper aims to explore whether Learning Study improves teachers' subject content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, and attitude toward teaching mathematics. A Learning Study was conducted in a Hong Kong primary school for a research lesson on comparing the size of fractions to explore the new teacher roles.

The mathematics curriculum reform has been carried out for almost five years (2004-2008) in the mainland China. But the teaching and learning in mathematics classrooms still are traditional in nature. Analyzing from the cultural angle, some reasons can be found: the orientation of teachers' role, teaching, and learning, the relationships between a teacher and the students, understanding the mathematics, and examination.

This study analyzes the characteristics of elementary math gifted classes through the development and application of teaching and learning materials. We used the guided reinvention methods including quasi-experiential perspectives. To this end, the applicability of Lakatos' quasi-empirical mathematical philosophy in elementary mathematics was examined, and the criteria for the development of teaching and learning materials for gifted students were presented, and then this study was conducted in this theoretical background. The subjects of the study were 21 elementary students at P University's Institute of Science and Gifted Education, and non-face-to-face real-time classes were conducted. Classes were divided into introduction, deployment1, deployment2, organization stages, and in each stage, small group cooperative learning was conducted based on group activities, and in this process, the characteristics of elementary mathematics gifted were analyzed. As a result of the study, elementary mathematics gifted students did not clearly present the essence of justification in the addition algorithm of fractions, but presented various interpretations of 'wrong' mathematics. They also showed their ingenuity in the process of spontaneously developing 'wrong' mathematics. On the other hand, by taking interest in new mathematics starting from 'wrong' mathematics, negative perceptions about it could be improved positively. It is expected that the development of teaching and learning materials dealing with various and original topics for the gifted students in elementary school will proceed through follow-up research.

본 논문은 수학 교사 학습과 전문성 신장에 관한 보다 종합적이고 체계적인 이해를 증진하기 위한 노력의 일환으로, 우선 교사 학습을 이해하기 위한 다양한 이론적 틀을 검토하고 교사 학습과 관련하여 지식과 교수 관행간의 관계를 조사하며 탐구 공동체를 중심으로 한 효율적인 전문성 신장에 관한 아이디어를 분석한다 이와 같은 이론적 분석에 터해 교사 학습과 이에 관련한 수학교실문화의 변화 과정을 연구하는 프로젝트를 간단히 소개하고 탐구 공동체의 운영, 교사의 관점에서 교수 관행을 기술하는 것, 공동체에서의 교사 학습을 분석하는 것 등 프로젝트를 수행하면서 부각되는 문제점에 대해 논의한다.

In this study, we examined some matters related to the learning of variable concept in school mathematics on the basis of the theoretical foundation from the previous studies(e.g. Davis, 1975; Rosnick, 1981; IK chemann, 1981; Wagner, 1983.) and practices on variable concept teaching by evaluating the current state of that. Matters be discussed are as follows; the use of symbol for place holders in elementary mathematics, the dealing with sets those elements are literals and operations of such sets, the teaching of dummy variable, the construction of literal expressions that contains variables, the labeling indeterminates as a constant, the change in the exact meaning of variable according to the function concept, the teaching of a generalization by means of variables. After considering on these matters that are connected with the teaching-learning of variable concept, we suggested the alternative proposal to the current state of variable concept teaching.
