Problem-Based Learning is the most commonly used teaching method in the field of education as the demand for talented people with creative problem-solving abilities has increased in recent society. In this study, we developed a tool that can simply and regularly measure the learning effects of applying Problem-Based Learning on the classroom. Twenty-two preliminary items for the development were constructed by gathering expert opinions about items collected in existing research of Problem-Based Learning effects measurement. Using this preliminary items, data were collected from 124 students who took the subject-based study. And the validity and reliability were verified through Rash analysis. 11 of 124 students and 1 of 22 items were found to nonconforming and excluded. In addition, the optimal scale for the configuration of this tool was found to be a four-point scale, and the reliability of separation on the subject and the item was found to be excellent. We hope that the assessment tools of Problem-Based Learning effectiveness developed in this study will be actively used to measure learning effectiveness and manage the quality of education.
In 2006 with the revised national curriculum, Elementary mathematics teaching and learning methods are presented in the following ways. Learners explore the way through the operational activities of the teachers and students with learning and learners' active learning activities, etc., and an active learning based on the principle of attention to learning how to maximize the effectiveness are required. In this study, from first grade through sixth grade elementary school mathematics textbooks for all learning activities presented in 10 different types were investigated This result of 5 contents area of number and operation, geometry, probability and statistics, measurement and patterns and problem solving and divided into low, middle, and hight three were intentional. In addition, teachers are looking forward to this result was compared with the type of activity.
Most of the robot programming curriculums consists mainly of understanding robot programming language and learning a simple grammatical sentences rather than logical problem solving process, these curriculums impose a burden on childrens' learning. Storytelling offers opportunities for continuation of childrens' positive learning motivation to practice symbolic manipulations, hold multiple abstract concepts in their heads, and create meaning between these ideas. In this paper, to overcome the difficulty of robot programming curriculum in elementary school and find teaching method which derives the childrens' motivation, we used storytelling in study of our robot programming curriculum.
This study presents data from a year-long teaching experiment which illustrate how two seventh graders modified their multiplicative thinking and interacted with their representing symbols in the context of combinatorial problem situations. Damon was at the process of construction of recursively multiplicative thinking by modifying his multiplicative reasoning, but Carol appeared to remain at the stage of a binary multiplicative scheme. The two students' struggles with their representing symbols or represented symbols by the teacher show that even well-organized symbolic systems from teachers' perspective do not necessarily help students advance their mathematical capacity.
This study analyzed the difficulty trend of item which are common with TIMSS 1999, 2003, 2007 and are released since TIMSS 2007. The results show that the 7th curriculum has positive effects on the students' achievement in the domain such as spatial sense of rotation, ratio proportion percent, pattern, calculation of decimal numbers, concept of angle, area of triangle, and qualitative approach to graph. And the results leaved the consideration for the process of scoring, teaching method of statistical probability concept, and making table as a problem solving method.
Computers can intensify the students' motivation and understanding about the solution to the problems in class, therefore, computers can be the most appropriate educational tools for the study of problem solving and have been also recognized as a representable study method in the information age, which can pass on various educational experience to the right place at the right time. Mutimedia producing tool helps us develop and maintain the educational courseware by way of using general technology of multimedia system. In this thesis, it presents the efficient development process of educational software by using mutimedia producing tool, its educational advantages and problems, and its future progress direction as well.
The purpose of this study is to analyze error patterns third-year middle school students make on quadratic function graph problems and to examine about the possible correct them by providing supplementary tutoring. To exam the error patterns that occur during problem solving processes, to 82 students, We provided 25 quadratic function graph problems in the preliminary-test. The 5 types of errors was conceptual errors, false intuition errors, incorrect use of conditions in problems, technical errors, and errors from slips or carelessness. Statistical analysis of the preliminary-test and post-test shows that achievement level was higher in the post-test, after supplementary tutoring, and the t-test proves this to be meaningful data. According to the per subject analyses, the achievement level in the interest of symmetry, parallel translation, and general graph, respectively, were all higher in the post-test than the preliminary-test and this is meaningful data as well. However, no meaningful relation could be found between the preliminary-test and the post-test on other subjects such as graph remodeling and relations positions of the parabola. For the correction of errors, try the appropriate feedback and various teaching and learning methods.

To find out the effect of interest on chemical content, interest in chemistry, choice of science elective subjects, teaching-learning characteristics that make it difficult to understand contents, academic achievement in general chemistry according to university admission screening, etc. were surveyed on 51 students enrolled in the department of chemistry education at P college of education. As a result of the survey, it was found that the interest in Chemistry I, Chemistry II, and general chemistry increased significantly to 94.6%, 73.7%, and 66.0%, respectively. 39.3% of the students answered that they had a lot of difficulty in understanding general chemistry. The characteristics of learners who make it difficult to understand the content were found to be 'lack of willingness to learn' such as 'lack of understanding chemical concepts' and 'lack of problem solving', due to the lack of 'basic knowledge'. As a way to solve these difficulties, 'expert help' appeared the most. The grades of general chemistry of students who entered the regular admission were relatively higher than those of occasional recruitment.
Amid the increasing interest in medical humanities education, this study developed a medical humanities course that utilized design thinking to foster creative thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills that pre-medical students should possess. The course's efficacy was assessed by evaluating improvements in core design thinking skills. The present study was conducted among 83 first-year medical students after planning and implementing a design thinking course. The reflection journals written by students along the course of the class were examined using the template analysis technique to evaluate the effectiveness of the class. The study's primary findings showed the successful development of step-by-step medical humanities education content utilizing design thinking and its practical implementation in a class. Moreover, the course improved students' core design thinking skills effectively, and in a balanced way. These results illustrate the effective application of design thinking in medical school through a medical humanities course. These findings indicate that a medical humanities course can help medical students showcase their abilities to collaborate and solve problems in the real world. This paper suggests the need for further research to develop a curriculum that integrates design thinking and investigate the relationship between medical students' core competencies and design thinking-based courses.

The society we are living in has being changed to the age of the intelligent information society after passing through the knowledge-based information society in the early 21st century. In this study, we have developed the instructional model for software education based on the machine learning which is a field of artificial intelligence(AI) to enhance the core competencies of learners required in the intelligent information society. This model is focusing on enhancing the core competencies through the process of problem-solving as well as reducing the burden of learning about AI itself. The specific stages of the developed model are consisted of seven levels which are 'Problem Recognition and Analysis', 'Data Collection', 'Data Processing and Feature Extraction', 'ML Model Training and Evaluation', 'ML Programming', 'Application and Problem Solving', and 'Share and Feedback'. As a result of applying the developed model in this study, we were able to observe the positive response about learning from the students and parents. We hope that this research could suggest the future direction of not only the instructional design but also operation of software education program based on machine learning.
