교사가 지각한 유아교육기관 원장의 지도성유형과 교사의 직무만족도 (The relationships between the leadership types of a chief in a preschool institute perceived by a teacher and the teacher's occupational satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the relationship between the leadership type of the chief and the occupational satisfaction of a teacher as well as the desirable type to fullfill the educational purpose of pre-school institutes. The subject of this study were 191 teachers in private pre-school institutes. Halpin's "Leadership Behavior Description Questionnaire" and Paula Jorde Bloom(1989)'s "Early Childhood Job Satisfaction Survey" have been modified and used for this study. The results are as follows: First, the leadership types of the chief teacher is recognizing can be classified into effective leadership, initiating structure, consideration, and ineffective leadership. Second, in regard to the occupational satisfaction of teachers they are satisfied with occupation itself and relationship between people rather than pay, social stability, and the environment of working. Third, the relationship between the leadership types of the chief and the occupational satisfaction shows the meaningful difference and consideration among the leadership types indicates the higher satisfaction of teachers. On the other hand, the type of ineffective leadership shows the lower satisfaction. As a result, the type of leadership of consideration contributes to the satisfaction rather than the types of leadership such as effective, ineffective, and initiating structure.

보육전공 학생들의 자기효능감과 직업가치가 전공만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Self-Efficacy and Occupational Value on the Major Satisfaction of Students Majoring in Childcare)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 보육전공 학생들의 자기효능감과 직업가치가 전공만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 A시에 소재한 예비보육교사 281명을 대상으로 질문지를 사용하여 실시하였다. 자료처리 및 분석은 SPSS 통계패키지 프로그램을 활용하여 일반적 특성을 알아보기 위해 빈도분석 실시하였으며 변인별 인식수준을 알아보기 위하여 평균과 표준편차를 구하였다. 또한, 신뢰도 검증을 위하여 Cronbach's ${\alpha}$를 산출하였고, 각 변인간의 관련성을 알아보기 위해 상관관계분석과 단계적 회귀분석 방법을 활용하였다. 연구결과에 대하여 첫째, 보육전공 학생들이 지각한 자기효능감에서는 자기조절효능감과 자신감이, 직업가치에서는 내적가치가, 전공만족도에서는 일반만족과 인식만족애서 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육전공 학생들의 자기효능감, 직업가치, 전공만족도에서 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육전공 학생들의 자기효능감과 직업가치가 전공만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과로 볼 때, 보육전공 학생들의 전공만족도에 대한 중요성을 인식하고 질 높은 보육직무를 수행할 수 있도록 적절한 자기효능감과 올바른 직업가치가 형성될 수 있도록 다양한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

SNS를 통해 지각된 사회적 지지가 교사의 성인애착과 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Social Support Perceived through SNS on Teachers' Adult Attachment and Occupational Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 SNS를 통해 지각된 사회적 지지가 교사들의 성인애착과 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 교사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 103부의 응답이 최종분석에 사용되었다. 연구결과, SNS를 통해 지각된 사회적 지지가 성인애착에서는 정서적지지, 정보적지지, 도구적지지가 애착불안에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 애착회피에서는 정서적 지지가 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 SNS를 통해 지각된 사회적 지지가 직무만족도에 미치는 영향에서는 정서적 지지와 정보적지지가 직무만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 및 논의에서는 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구의 시사점 및 제한점을 제시하였다.

보육교사의 직무 스트레스, 우울, 지각된 건강상태가 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Job Stress, Depression and Perceived Health Status on Job Satisfaction among Child Care Teachers)

  • Purpose: This study examined the effect of job stress, depression and perceived health status on job satisfaction among child care teachers. Methods: Data were from a convenient sample of 169 child care teachers with self-administered questionnaires from January 5th to 30th, 2015. Collected data were analysed using SPSS/WIN 18.0. Results: Child care teachers had upper-medium level of perceived health status, lower level of depression and job stress and above medium level of job satisfaction. Affecting factors of job satisfaction among child care teachers included depression, and job stress ($Adj.R^2=.58$, F=78.60, p<.001). Conclusion: These results suggest that development of emotional supportive program and supportive system are needed to increase the job satisfaction among child care teachers. Exploration of strategies to reduce the depression and job stress will be necessary in order to increase the job satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of the organizational culture atpreschool institutes and management styles on job satisfaction levels among teachers. For this study, 256 teachers responded to questionnaires dealing with the following topics: the organization culture and the management styles of administrators at schools they work in and job satisfaction. The results were as follows: First, there was a significant positive correlation between organizational culture and job satisfaction. Second, there was a significant positive correlation between several sub-factors of job satisfaction and management styles. Third, in multiple regression analysis of variables, innovativeness in the organizational culturehad the most significant influence on job satisfaction. Also sub-factors of organizational culture and management styles of administrators that influenced teachers'job satisfaction ratings included collegiality, supervisory support, physical settings, reward systemsand task-centered management styles.

영유아 교사의 근무여건 및 직업만족도가 정신건강과 프리젠티즘에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Working Conditions and Job Satisfaction on the Mental Health and Presenteeism of Early Childhood Teachers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the mental health and presenteeism of early childhood teachers and to explore the effects of working conditions and job satisfaction on these. Methods: Data from the 4thKorean Work Environment Survey were used. The sample consisted of 474 female early-childhood teachers from private facilities. Mental health was measured using the WHO-Wellbeing Index. Presenteeism was attributed to a participant upon indication that, during the past 12 months, she had ever attended work, despite being sick. The data by complex sample design were analyzed through the Rao-Scott $x^2$ test and logistic regression analysis. Results: 37.9% of early childhood teachers reported poor mental health and 34.2% had experienced presenteeism. Early childhood teachers in permanent employment, who did not work evening shifts, and with sustainable jobs, were more likely to have better mental health. Moreover, those in permanent employment and remunerated appropriately were less likely to experience presenteeism. Conclusion: Type of employment, number of days working in the evening, and job sustainability affect mental health. Further, type of employment, number of workers, and being well paid have an effect on presenteeism. We suggest that improved working conditions should precede the improvement of early-childhood teachers' mental health.

어머니의 취업배경, 역할만족과 유아의 사회적 능력 (Mother's Occupational Background, Role Satisfaction, and Young Children's Social Competence)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between mother's occupational background, their role satisfaction, and their young children's social competence. The subjects of this study were 360 working mothers having 3 to 6-year-old children and 56 teachers of the children drawn from 8 preschools and 7 kindergartens in Cheongju city. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows : First, mother's occupational background was significantly different according to mother's age, educational level, job type, mother's income, family finances and the existence of a supporter for bringing up children. Second, mother's role satisfaction was significantly different according to mother's income and the existence of a supporter for bringing up children. Third, children's social competence was significantly different according to children's sex, age, mother's age, educational level, job type, mother's income and family finances. Finally, there were significantly meaningful correlations between mother's occupational background, their role satisfaction, and their young children's social competence.

심층면접법을 이용한 광주지역 보건 교사의 이미지 메이킹에 관한 인식 분석 (Analysis on Awareness of Make-up and Image-Making of the Health Teachers in Gwangju Metropolitan City by In-depth Interview)

  • Our research participants were composed of health teachers exhausted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study analyzed the attitudes towards image-making through utilizing the job training at Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education on August 2022, where our study was able to obtain and analyze 30 elementary, middle, and high school health teachers who participated. Image making is defined as playing a role in increasing self-esteem through outward appearances such as facial expressions and posture, personal color, makeup, tone, hairstyling, and fashion and impacting individuals inwardly to increase self-confidence. Therefore, there is a positive impact in providing an image-making program that considers the occupational characteristics of a health teacher. It had the effect of stress relief and aided in building a healthier self-image among the participants. The results our study showed the following results. First, all participants had various concerns regarding their appearance and deemed that image-making was necessary, yet they needed to be more informed regarding the specific methods of doing so. Secondly, participants were mainly focused on purchasing makeup products for image making. Although participants showed interest in a personal color diagnosis, there needed to be more support in approaching the subject as the diagnosis was necessary from an expert. Third, participants stated that image-making should occur for their middle-aged selves when experienced in the field. Participants believed that they would be more concerned with how others viewed them after gaining expertise. Hence, this study found that the occupational characteristics of health teachers greatly benefitted from image-making programs oriented to their careers and would also show an increase in job satisfaction.

학교 영양(교)사의 직무스트레스가 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 - 인간관계 유형의 조절효과를 중심으로 - (Effects of Job Stress on Job Satisfaction in School Dieticians and Nutrition Teacher - Focus on the Moderating Effect of Interpersonal Relationship Type -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of job stress on job satisfaction according to interpersonal relationship type among school dieticians and nutrition teachers. The online survey was conducted from Oct. 26th to Nov. 7th, 2017 in 2,000 randomly selected dieticians and nutrition teachers in the capital area. A total of 453 collected questionnaires were used for analysis. SPSS v.21.0 Statistical Package Program was used for the statistical process. For the results regarding interpersonal relationship type of dieticians, open-type (73.3%) was the highest, followed by self-assertive-type (23.0%), isolated-type (2.6%), and careful-type (1.1%). Regarding overall job satisfaction, 'human relation' was the highest, followed by 'job itself', 'working environment', and 'personal rating & welfare system', in that order. According to interpersonal relationship type, in the case of 'open-type' or 'careful-type', job satisfaction was relatively high. Regarding overall job stress, 'job demand' was the highest, followed by 'lack of reward', 'organizational system', 'interpersonal conflict', 'occupational climate', 'job insecurity', and 'insufficient job control', in that order. In accordance with interpersonal relationship type, overall job stress index was high in terms of 'self-assertive-type' or 'careful-type'. For the results of analyzing the correlation between job satisfaction and job stress index, all areas showed statistically significant negative correlations. Multiple regression analysis was performed to study the effects of job stress on job satisfaction mediating interpersonal relationship type. Job stress had different effects on job satisfaction in terms of 'open-type' and 'self-assertive type'. In conclusion, different strategies are needed for dieticians with different interpersonal relationship types to improve job satisfaction and to reduce job stress.

유아교사의 교직선택동기와 소진의 관계에서 직무만족도의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction on the Relationship between Motives for Selecting a Teaching Profession and Burnout of Early Childhood Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 유아교사의 교직선택동기, 직무만족도 및 소진의 관계를 알아보고, 교직선택동기가 소진에 미치는 영향에서 직무만족도가 가지는 매개효과를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 서울, 충남 및 경기 지역의 유치원과 어린이집 교사 252명을 대상으로 질문지를 배부하고 불성실한 응답 52부를 제외한 200부가 분석되었다. 수집된 자료는 PASW Statistics 18.0 프로그램을 통해 분석되었다. 연구의 신뢰도 분석을 위해 $Cronbach^{\prime}{\alpha}$수를 산출하였으며, 연구대상의 사회인구학적 특성을 알아보기 위해 기술통계를 실시하였다. 유아교사의 교직선택동기, 직무만족도 및 소진의 상관관계 분석을 위해 Pearson 적률상관분석을 실시하였으며, 매개효과 검증을 위해 단순회귀분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 간접효과의 유의성을 검증하기 위해 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 유아교사의 교직선택동기, 직무만족도 및 소진 간에는 유의한 상관관계가 있었으며, 유아교사의 교직선택동기와 직무만족도는 소진에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 교직선택동기가 소진에 영향을 미치는데 있어 직무만족이 이를 매개하는 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 유아교사의 직무만족 향상이 소진의 감소에 도움을 주며, 교직선택동기의 영향을 매개할 수 있음을 시사한다.
