Nondestructive tests are used to evaluate the insulation condition of stator windings in rotating machine. These tests included ac current, tan delta and maximum partial discharge. The insulation condition of stator windings was assessed by three test items. The stator windings were generally in good condition, wash, reimpregnation and rewind. It was confirmed that nondestructive tests were most useful method to indicate the insulation condition of stator windings.

회전 편광자 영의 Spectroscople Ellipsometer를 제작하였다. 각 부품의 미소결함에 의한 오차를 추정하고 이들 각 부품의 미소결함이 Ellipsometric 상수들에 미치는 영향을 보정하여 정확도를 향상시키는 관련표현들을 유도하였다. Straight through operation에 대한 성능 평가 결과 파장 대역 400nm-600nm 내에서 tan$\psi$ 와 cos$\Delta$ 의 편차는 0.2% 내외로 만족할 만한 것으로 판단되었다. 광학 박막을 중심으로 Spectroscopic Ellipsomter를 사용한 연구에 대하여 실험예를 중심으로 논의하였다.

EPDM/BR 블렌드의 물성에 미치는 커플링결합체의 영향을 조사하였다. N,N＇ -(bis(2-methyl-2-nitroprpyl))-1,6-diamino hexane) (MNPDH)와 bis(3-triethoxysilyl propyl)-tetrasulfide (TESPT)의 두가지 종류의 커플링결합제를 사용하였다. EPDM/BR 블 렌드 및 EPDM/BR/MNPDH 또는 EPDM/BR/TESPT 블렌드의 용융점도, 탄성률 및 tan $\delta$ 를 모세관 점도계, 동적점탄성장치 및 동적응력 완화측정장치로 조사하였다. 동적점탄성 및 형태학적 연구 결과 MNPDH 또는 TESPT를 첨가할 경우 결합고무 함량이 증가하고 카본 블랙의 분산성이 좋아져 가황된 EPDM/BR 블렌드의 인열강도 및 내피로성등의 물성이 향 상되었다.

$SiO_2$ thin films are fabricated using sol-gel method and dipping method. Relative dielectric constant of thin films decreases a little according to increasing the measuring frequency. Tan ${\delta}$ of thin films increases a little below 100kHz and it increases rapidly over 100kHz.

This paper evaluated dielectic characteristics on EPR, Polyester and insulation of these different interface. Dielectric characteristics of insulation rubber, Polyester increace greatly according as temperature increases have no effect on applied voltage and pressure. On the condition that interface exists, we confirmed that dielectric characteristics had been influence on semiconductor which had high $tan{\delta}$.

In this paper, we evaluated the dielectric properties and thermal analysis on sliced XLPE sheet from 154kV power cable and compared with 22kV XLPE sheet. As the result, dielectric constant was not applied voltage dependance but trended to increase with temperature. Test result presented that tan$\delta$ of XLPE with Interface was trend to increased.

The insulation diagnostic tests was performed at local thermal power plants high voltage motor. The insulation diagnostic tests include measurements of insulation resistance, polarization index, AC current, $tan{\delta}$, partial discharges. This paper describes the difference of insulation characteristics for high voltage motor makers.

Electrical and mechanical properties of polymer sheet at cryogenic temperature have been investigated. Tensile stress(and strain at break) in liquid nitrogen(77K) of 79.7MPa(l.2%) and 117.4MPa(2.05%) are evaluated for films of Polypropylene (PP) and Kapton, respectively. Dielectric loss tangent(tan .delta.) of PP and Kapton films is almost independent of the frequency and tensile stress. Also, field strength of PP film at 77K decreases with increasing the tensile stress.

Nondestructive and destructuve insulation tests were performed the high voltage rotating machine in the local thermal power plants. Nondestructive tests include measurements of insulation resistance. polarization index, AC current. tan$\delta$, partial discharge. Destructive tests include measurements of AC hipot and DC hipot. This paper propose to establish the insulation diagnosis cycle for high voltage rotating machine.

In this paper, we have the investigated the Influence of Filler Shape on Dielectric & Electric Charge-Discharge Properties of Filled Epoxy Resin. In the low frequency range from 50Hz to a few kHz, the magnitude of tan$\delta$ become larger in the order, NON, RAS, SAS, SCS. The electrical Discharge of RAS measured for 60 min, decreased after 10$^2$∼10$^3$.
