건전지의 성능평가 장치 (A Performance Testing Device of Drycell)

  • In this paper, I have developed a high-speed and high-resolution measuring device in order to check the performance of drycell. The system is developed for the drycell manufacturing plant. Measuring time is one of key factors to inference on the production speed. So the developed system is designed to generate the classified result up to 1200ea/min. In the other words, each product can be classified within 25ms. There have been many studies to estimate both state of charge as well as state of health, such as OCV (Open Circuit Voltage), SC (Short Circuit) and measuring impedance with frequency pulse. But those methods take a few second due to surface discharge. To overcome the phenomenon, I developed the method to engage the reverse current to two electrodes of battery. As a result, I could achieve to measure the indigenous capacity without the problem of surface discharge.

콘크리트궤도에 고속분기기 설치를 고려한 교량설계 및 시공기법 (Design and Construction Method Considering Turnout for High-speed on The Bridge with Concrete Track)

  • The concrete track is being used at the Phase II of the Kyeongbu High Speed Railway and New Constructed Honam High Speed Railway. When it makes a decision of bridge type, It has to consider about longitudinal forces of Continuous Welded Rail, Displacement at the end of bridges, Up-lift forces for fastener on the track. If it is installed turnout on the bridge, There is likelihood of the deck twist by applying the each difference longitudinal forces at the 4 each rails and the buckling by concentration of rail stress at the turnout. Moreover, If it is installed turnout on the continuous bridge and REJ(Rail Expansion Joint) on the main track or turnout track. It is hard to keep a safety for rail because of coming to twist or folding at the expansion of deck on the turnout track. Therefore when it is a design of bridge with turnout. It need to take bridge type to minimize an additional axial force and a displacement at the turnout. This paper makes a study of the composite steel arch bridge that is able to resolve criteria requirements of safety for track with turnout and suggest a helpful design method for bridge considering track with turnout by being based on design and construction method of Eonyang Bridge at the north part of Ulsan Station in Phase II of the Kyeongbu High Speed Railway.

Space Charge Behavior of Oil-paper Insulation Thermally Aged under Different Temperatures and Moistures

  • Moisture and high temperature are the most important factors that lead to the ageing of oil-paper insulation, but the research about space charge characteristics of oil-paper insulation does not take the combined effect of ambient temperature, moisture and thermal ageing into account. The pulsed electroacoustic (PEA) method was used to investigate the influence of moisture and temperature on space charge characteristics of oil paper at different ageing stages. The results showed that moisture could speed up formation of space charge in oil paper when water concentration was low, but the formation was restrained if the water concentration was high. At the beginning of thermal ageing, heterogeneous charge accumulation had predominance, but it gradually changed to homogeneous charge injection with ageing. It was believed that moisture concentration could speed up ageing and enhance charge accumulation on one hand, and accelerate or slow down the establishment speed of space charge on the other hand, therefore, charge accumulation type changed with ageing. The more seriously the oil-paper insulation was thermally aged, the deeper the trap energy level was, hence more space charge was trapped, which could be speeded up by increasing the ageing temperature, but the effect of ambient temperature did not fit the Arrhenius law.

탄소섬유 강화 복합재료의 항공기용 PTO 샤프트 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics to PTO Shafts for Aircrafts)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소섬유 강화 복합재료를 적용하여 PTO 샤프트의 임계 속도를 향상시키는 연구를 진행하였다. 탄소섬유 강화 복합재료의 경우 전단 강도가 낮은 단점이 있어, 이를 보완하기 위해 티타늄-탄소섬유 강화 복합재료 하이브리드 구조로 설계하는 것을 제안하였다. PTO 샤프트에서 요구하는 최대 허용 토크, 임계 속도, 비틀림 고유진동수 기준을 충족시키는 최적의 구조를 설계하고 제작하였다. 제작한 PTO 샤프트의 성능 평가를 위해 진동 시험, 정적 비틀림 시험, 비틀림 내구성 시험이 수행되었고, 진동 시험에서 PTO 샤프트의 임계 속도는 20570 rpm로 티타늄 샤프트 대비하여 7.5% 향상된 것을 확인하였다. 또한 정적 비틀림 시험을 통해 PTO 샤프트의 최대 허용 토크가 2300 N·m로 해당 기준을 충족시키는 것을 확인하였다. 최종적으로 11.3~113 N·m 범위의 하중을 반복하는 비틀림 내구성 시험에서도 106 사이클 동안 피로파괴가 발생하지 않는 것으로 평가되었다.

고급해기사의 효율적 양성 및 관리방안 연구 (A Study on the Efficient Education and Management of Merchant Marine Officers)

  • With the advent of the 21th century, Korea surrounded by the three sides of the sea has been underlining the fact that it will become one of the strongest maritime powers near future as ever in the past. The study shows that in order to build up Korea as a powerful maritime country, not only should we urge its government to take more in-depth political interest in the field of the shipping industry, but the effective training and the managing program for sea-farers employing in th forefront of the shipping business(as the centric panel of the competent merchant marine officers) also have to be taken into a sufficient consideration. According to the large scale, higher speed and automatization of vessels, a number of seamen who have so well-workable brain as to dexterously operate the up-dated scientific equipments have come into be demanded. This study therefore has not only suggested that an improvement for the system of the education for merchant marine officers and the effective scheme of the management on them, but especially underlined the problems of seamen' and their families' economic and social securities as well.

Studies on the Ternary Blends of Liquid Crystalline Polymer and Polyesters

  • Thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer made up of poly(p-hydroxybenzoate) (PHB)-poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET) 8/2 copolyester, poly(ethylene 2,6-naphthalate) (PEN) and PET were mechanically blended to pursue the liquid crystalline phase of ternary blends. Complex viscosities of blends decreased with increasing temperature and PHB content. DSC thermal analysis indicated that glass transition temperature (Tg) and melting temperature (Tm) of blends increased with increasing PHB content. Both tensile strength and initial modulus increased with raising PHB content and take-up speed of monofilaments. In the WAXS diagram, only PEN crystal reflection at 2Θ=$15.5^{\circ}C$ appeared but PET crystal reflection was not shown in all compositions. The degree of transesterification and randomness of blends increased with blending time but sequential length of both PEN and PET segment decreased.

  • This paper introduce a millimeter-wave radar system. As Fig 1 shows, This system consists of millimeter-wave radar front-end and digital signal processing parts through receive waves regarding up-coming obstacles. The system works as follow process; (1) Generate regular tripodal waves using the FMCW pulse generator (2) Transmit/Receive waves regarding up-coming obstacles (3) Analog filtering (4) FIFO memory interface (5) FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) (6) Calculation of distance / speed between cars (7) Object display and calibration. We have progress to solve the problem like as increase of traffic accidents causing damage and injuries due to the increased number of motor vehicles and long distance driving, and Need for a device to help drivers who are in trouble due to bad weather conditions. We are expect to Take the lead as a core technology in the ITS industry and to develop circuit and signal processing technologies related to millimeter-wave bandwidth.

  • Studies on impact damage of composite laminate shells were fewer compared with those on impact behaviors to analyze time-load, displacement-load and impact energy - energy absorption. Up to date the studies were not enough to demonstrate suitability of their results because they were dependent on theories and numerical analyses. In particular, it is a well-known fact that there was a correlation between initial peak load and damage resistance of composite material flat plates imposed with low-speed impact, but studies on composite material shells with curvature were also very few. Actually structures such as wings or moving bodies of airplanes, motor cases and pressure containers of rockets are circular. And as low-speed impact load is imposed for optimal design of take-off and landing, and containers of airplanes, it is very important to analyze evaluation of behaviors and damaged areas. Therefore, in this paper to evaluate the impact characteristics of the CFRP laminate shell according to size of curvature quantitatively, it was to identify energy absorption and impact damage instruments according to change of impact speed.

  • Rotating machines are widely used in industrial world and especially motor and generator take up much part of it. As for this kind of motor and generator, electrical loss due to eddy current is the very important factor and that is also a primary factor causes heat generation. To solve this kind of problem like the above. insulated laminating silicon steel sheet is used to prevent eddy current effect. Laminated rotor is widely used as rotating shaft of motor and generator. Due to that, electrical loss and heat problem can be solved but designer meets another problem. In general. most of the motor and generator can be normally operated under 3,600 rpm because they are designed to have the first critical speed more than that speed. But nowadays, they should be operated more than the first critical speed as usual with the trend of high speed, large scale and high precision in industrial world. The critical speed can be determined from the inertia and stillness for the rotor and bearing of rotating systems. The laminated rotor stiffness can be hardly determined because it can be derived a lot factors for instance rotor material and shape, lamination material and shape, insulation material. lamination force and so on. In this paper, the change of the natural frequency of the motor was examined with the change of the lamination force as an experimental method and design criteria will be presented for motor & generator designer, who can apply the result of numerical analysis with equivalent diameter scheme with ease.

방송통신 융합 환경에서의 장애인을 위한 휠체어 의사소통 시스템 개발 (The Wheelchair Communication System was Developed in The Convergence of Broadcasting and Communication Environments for People with Disabilities)

  • 본 연구에서는 휠체어에서 생성되는 유선통신 신호와 GPS를 이용한 속도를 수집한다. 그리고 탑승자헬멧에 전송하고, 스마트폰을 이용해 현재의 위치정보와 휠체어에서 전달되는 속도 정보 등을 저장하여 블랙박스 App과 무전 기능인 멀티통신 App을 활용하는 S/W를 개발했다. 또한 휠체어에서 생성된 속도 데이터나 신호 데이터값을 거치대를 통해 헬멧으로 전달하여 헬멧의 Head-up Display를 통해 탑승자에게 전달하는 블랙박스를 탑재한 헬멧을 연구개발 하였다. 본 연구의 결과물은 휠체어의 여러 사람이 함께 이동하면서 서로의 의사정보를 실시간으로 공유할 수 있어서 효과적으로 활용할 수 있다. 연구의 한계점은 연구소에서 실험적으로 개발 운용한 모델로서 상업적인 접근에 대한 구체적인 방안이 필요함.
