Since the current tendencies show us the increasing number of cerebral palsy children and the standard longevity, we need to find out more research about the following various problems. Therefore I have tried to figure out the difference of oxygen saturation and heart rate between before ambulation and after. Objects chosen are 17 C.P children on the process of treatment those who were able to walk and 8 normal children in Ah-San hospital, Gang-Nung. They haven't had either any operation or suffered heart disease and I measured their oxygen saturation and heart rate by using pulse-oximeter and are analyzed by SPSS (10.07 version). Results are the followings; 1. There was no difference of oxygen saturation and heart rate between pre-ambulation and post-ambulation of normal and spastic hemiplegia children. 2. There showed the significant statistic difference of oxygen saturation, heart rate between pre-ambulates and post-ambulation of normal and spastic diplegia(p<.05). 3. There was no difference of oxygen saturation, heart rate in C.P between(p>.05), but shows the significant statistic difference in heart rate(p<.05). As I compared the oxygen saturation and heart rate of spastic and normal children on between pre-ambulation and post-ambulation, theres is significant statistic difference on both items (p<.05). However there was no difference of oxygen saturation among hemiplegia, normal and diplegia children while the pulse rate showed the significant difference(p<.05). According to this clinical research, CP children's oxygen saturation and heart rate had no change between pre and post compared to normal children. But there was difference in diplegia. This is why we need to invest time to study these kinds of research about various analysis and comparison of oxygen saturation and heart rate, and furthermore making use of pulse-oxymetry in physical therapy room for the children involved would be beneficial to calculate in accuracy without any discomfort for the patient as well.

Background: SMG (升麻葛根湯加味方) is an herbal medicine which has been used in oriental medicine as a traditional therapeutic agent of pruritus and skin disease. Objective: This study was performed to investigate the effect of SMG on the anti-hypersensitivity and immune response in the murine of type I hypersensitivity induced by the experiment. Materials and Methods: Laboratory rats were primary sensitized with OA (ovalbumin); on day 1, rats of a Control group and Sample group (SMG group) were systemically immunized by subcutaneous injection of 1mg OA and 300mg of Al(OH)3 in a total volume of 2ml saline. The rats of the sample group were orally administered with an SMG water extract for 14 days after primary immunization. On day 14 after the systemic immunization, rats received local immunization by inhaling $0.9\%$ saline aerosol containing $2\%$(wt/vol) OA. A day after local immunization, BAL fluid and peripheral blood were collected from the rats. Total cell, lymphocyte, $CD4^+\;T\;cell,\;CD8^+\;T\;cell,\;CD4^+/CD8^+$ ratio in the BALF, and IgE, $CD4^+\;T\;cell,\;CD8^+$ T cell in the peripheral blood were measured and evaluated. Results: SMG showed a suppressive effect on the immune response in the rats. 1. Total Cells in the BALF decreased in the SMG treated group in comparison group, but statistic differences were not observed. 2. Total lymphocytes in the BALF were statistically decreased in SMG treated group in comparison to the control group. 3. CD4+ T cells in the BALF were statistically decreased in SMG treated group in comparison to the control group. 4. CD8+ T cells in the BALF were decreased in SMG treated group in comparison to the control group, but statistic differences were not observed. 5. The ratio of CD4+/CD8+ in the BALF was statistically decreased in SMG treated group in comparison to the control group. 6. The IgE level in serum was statistically decreased in SMG treated group in comparison to the control group. 7. The ratio of CD4+ and CD8+ in peripheral blood showed undetectable differences between each group of rats. From the experiment cited above, this study shows that SMG has both anti-hypersensitivity effects and immunoregulatory effects when administered to rats. Based on this experiment, it is suggested that SMG could be a useful immunomodulator and anti-allergy agent.
Objective : Essential hyperhidrosis is a pathological condition of excessive sweating beyond that required to cool the body, though poorly understood, originating from a dysfunction of the sympathetic nervous system. Thoracoscopic sympathectomy is the most popular treatment for upper limb hyperhidrosis, because it is a safe, effective, minimally invasive, and time-saving method. However, the common complication is the compensatory hyperhidrosis in other areas of the body, notably on the back, chest, abdomen, and buttocks. Compensatory hyperhidrosis is severe enough for some people, especially those living in a warm climate or engaging in heavy physical activities, to regret ever having had operation. The pathophysiological mechanisms underlying compensatory hyperhidrosis are incompletely understood, even though it is thought to be a truly compensatory feature related to thermoregulation of the body. Materials and Methods : we studied the clinical features of total 233 patients who were diagnosed as essential hyperhidrosis and treated with thoracoscopic sympathectomy or sympathicotomy from March 1992 to July 2000. Results : The success rate of thoracoscopic sympathetic surgery(sympathectomy or sympathicotomy) was 98.7%. The global rate of compensatory hyperhidrosis was 77% ; 84% in group T2, 3 sympathectomy, 76% in group T2 sympathectomy, 43% in group T2, 3 sympathicotomy and 59% in group T2 sympathicotomy. The rate of embarrassing or disabling compensatory sweating was significantly higher in T2 sympathectomy and in T2, 3 sympathectomy than in T2 sympathicotomy and T2, 3 sympathicotomy with significancy in statistic analysis(p<0.01). The precipitating factors of compensatory hiperhidrosis, including heat(warm weather), anxiety, stress, and exertion were noted. The compensatory hyperhidrosis was the main cause of patient dissatisfaction after thoracoscopic sympathectomy. Conclusion : The degree of compensatory hyperhidrosis is closely related to the extent of thoracic sympathectomy.
A knock detection circuit that is based on the signal of an accelerometer installed on the engine block of a spark ignition automotive engine has a band-pass filter with a certain frequency as a parameter to be calibrated. A new statistical method for the determination of the frequency which is the most suitable for the knock detection in real-time applications is proposed. The method uses both the cylinder pressure and block vibration signals and is divided into two steps. In both steps, a new recursive trigonometric interpolation method that calculates the frequency contents of the signals is applied. The new trigonometric interpolation method developed in this paper improves the performance of the Discrete Fourier Transformation, allowing a flexible choice of the size of the moving window. In the first step, the frequency contents of the cylinder pressure signal are calculated. The knock is detected in the cylinder of the engine cycle for which at least one value of the maximal amplitudes calculated via the trigonometric interpolation method exceeds a threshold value indicating a considerable amount of oscillations in the pressure signal; this cycle is selected as a knocking cycle. In the second step, the frequency analysis is performed on the block vibration signal for the cycles selected in the previous step. The knock detectability, which is an individual cylinder attribute at a certain frequency, is verified via a statistical hypothesis test for testing the equality of two mean values, i.e. mean values of the amplitudes for knocking and non-knocking cycles. Signal-to-noise ratio is associated in this paper with the value of t-statistic. The frequency with the largest signal-to-noise ratio (the value of t-statistic) is chosen for implementation in the engine knock detection circuit.

CD4+ T cells in the BALF were statistically decreased in SBP treated group in comparision to the control group. 4. CD8+ T cells in the BALF were not statistically different in SBP treated group and the control group. 5. The ratio of CD4+/CD8+ in the BALF was statistically decreased in SBP treated group in comparision to the control group. 6. The IgE level in serum decreased in the SBP treated group in comparision to the control group, but statistic differences were not observed.
This study investigates the differences in the purchasing behavior of infant & children's wear with the features of children and consumers. This study conducted a survey on female buyers of infant & children's wear. 558 questionnaires were analyzed by using SPSS 18.0 statistic program with factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and paired t-test. The results are as follows: 1. The buyer's value was identified with 3 factors: mental achievement value, social achievement value, and pleasure value. Three types of group by values were identified: group seeking mental social achievement, group seeking social achievement, and group seeking pleasure. 2. Fashion and conformity, pleasure pursuit, and reasonable price pursuit orientations showed significant differences among the value groups. 3. A significant difference was found in the imitation of wearing role models according to sibling relationships.
The study were to assess technical factors between the high score group and the low score group, from the subjects of 8 male national gymnasts, and to analyze the kinematical characteristic and main technical cause on technique of Kasamatsu movement on Vault. The result of this study is this. In case of horse contact time the high score group was swifter than low score group, and there was significant difference between the high score group and the low score group(<.01). On high score group the time of taking on from horse showed shorter than that of taking off from horse, while of the low score group the time of taking on the horse was similar to that of taking off from horse on the average. And in time of pre-flight the high score group on average the was 0.16sec shorter times than the low score group, and so there was significantly difference between groups(<.05). Also It is a characteristic that the high score group was short in horse contact time and longer in post-flight. In the horizontal distance of post-flight, the high score group was 0.11m longer than the low score group and there was significantly statistic difference between groups(<.05). In the vertical height of the cog in Post-flight's phrase, the high score group was 0.15m higher than the low score group and there was significantly statistic difference between groups(.<01). The horizontal velocity and vertical velocity in the event of taking on and off Beat board and Vault weren't significantly statistic differences between two groups. In the slow-down of average horizontal velocity during keeping contact with the beat board, the high score group was larger than the low score group. And in an increased average vertical velocity during keeping contact with the beat board, the high score group was even larger than the low score group. In the projectile angle of cog in taking off the beat board, 40.2deg., the angle of low score group and 39.5deg., the angle of high score group are nearly alike. In the projectile angle of cog in taking off the beat, the high score group showed 1.6Wt larger on average than the low score group. However the average reaction force on the board and Vault wasn't almost different between two groups, showed 0.3~0.6Wt larger in the high score group.
The study tried to develop a parent-involvement sex education program and find out its effects for more effective sex education methods for high graders of a primary school. The subjects were recruited from 5 classes of 6th graders in Y Primary School in N city, Kyeonggido province, South Korea. Data collection was done from October 4, 2003 to November 7. The experimental group consisted of 43 students from 3 classes with the help from class teachers and parents' involvement in the program. The control group consisted of 43 students randomly sampled by computer from the other two classes. For the experimental methods, the experimental group was given a parent-involvement sex education program as well as a student sex education program: the control group only received the student sex education program. The results were analyzed according to frequency, percentage, $x^2$-test, fisher's exact test and t-test using SAS program. As a result of the homogeneity test, both the groups proved to be the same (t=-0.29 p=0.77, t=0.49 p=0.62) in preliminary sex-attitude and sex-related communication frequency score. But the two group showed meaningful differences (t=2.52 p=0.01, t=2.04, p=0.04) in preliminary sex-knowledge and sex-related communication quality score. After the sex education programs, the two groups didn't show meaningful statistic differences(t=-0.42 p=0.68, t=1.57 p=0.12) in preliminary sex-knowledge and sex-related communication quality score. But the experimental group was statistically more meaningful (t=2.16 p=0.03, t=4.86 p<0.0001) in the difference of sex attitude and sex-related communication frequency than the control. The parent-involvement sex education program developed in this study was more effective for improving their sex attitude and for increasing the frequency of their sex-related communication with parents than the existing student program. Therefore, for sex education, it's necessary to develop and spread various programs where parents can be involved.
A new algorithm was developed, not only to detect the existence of a thermocline, but also to extract the thermocline parameters (such as thermocline thickness, mixed layer thickness, maximum temperature gradient, and temperature difference of thermocline), using the vertical profile of water temperature. According to Kappa analysis, in order to find adequate threshold values of vertical water temperature gradients ${\Delta}T$ ($^{\circ}C/m$), agreement and reliability were 87% and 0.74 respectively, in the conditions of maximum ${\Delta}T{\geq}0.5$ and surface and bottom layers ${\Delta}T<{\mid}0.2{\mid}$. Also, three different kinds of methods, viz. 1. Gradient method, 2. Hyperbolic tangent method, and 3. Differential hyperbolic tangent method, were tested to extract the key parameters of a thermocline. Comparing the results of three different methods, the differential hyperbolic tangent method was the most appropriate to extract the start and end point of a thermocline curve.
