  • 저압배전반(Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies)에 관한 대표적인 국제규격으로는 IEC 60439 시리즈가 있어, 저압배전반의 형식시험(Type test)시 이 규격을 적용하여 시험하고 있으며, 한편으로 오랫동안 IEC 60439 시리즈의 규격 개정작업이 진행되어 첫 번째로 IEC 60439 시리즈 중 Par1(IEC 60439-1)이 2009년 1월 IEC 61439-1 (Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies. Part 1 : General rules) 및 IEC 61439-2 (Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies - Part 2 : Power switchgear and controlgear assemblies)로 대체 되었다. 본 고찰에서는 새로 제정된 61439-1 및 61439-2의 형식시험 항목 및 방법을 개략적으로 소개하여, 신 규격에 의한 배전반 형식시험에 도움을 주고자 한다.

  • This paper present the fundamental insulation characteristics of Dry Air gas and insulation coating in high voltage power apparatus. It is known that the dielectric strength. of Dry Air is approximately one-third that of SF6 gas. we attempt that the insulation coating and dry air gas have replaced the SF6 gas as insulation of the switchgear. We proposed the dry air insulated switchgear(DAIS) for High Voltage apparatus. To acquire technology of insulation characteristic improvement made standards for complex insulation structure and conducted simulations and experiments

  • 170kV GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) is widely used in large industrial factory-electrical facilities of private use because has many benefits. But Other equipments's failures are occurred by GIS failures and give rise economic problems to user. Therefore we will examine the actual condition of the 170kV GIS-electrical facilities of private use and are able to confirm the distribution characteristic analysis of disconnecting switchgear. In this paper, we presents the actual condition investigation of the disconnecting switchgear of 170kV GIS-electrical facilities of private use by post - failure pattern, inspection method, test equipments and so forth.

  • This paper describes the accident analysis by modelling the current transformer mounting in a metal-clad switchgear at 22.9kV. In analyzing the accident, the reconstruction at the current transformer mounting(VCB connecting guide) has to be taken into account. The accident was modelled as a 3-phase ground fault occurring between the end plate of 22.9kV lines and the safety shutter at the current transformer mounting of the VCB inside the metal clad switchgear. Since the outside maintenance of the metal clad switchgear is restricted by the enclosed compartments, Its circumference has to be kept clean. Through the reconstruction results, it was confirmed that the fault of the enclosed switchboard could be reduced when the shutter made of Fe material was chanted into an insulation.

  • This paper describes the insulation breakdown characteristics of 72.5 kV dry-air insulated switchgear under development for installation in a wind power generator when a lightning impulse voltage is applied. For this study, the weak point of insulation due to the electric field concentration of the switchgear's internal shape was identified by finite element method (FEM) analysis, and the shape was actually simulated to measure and analyze the polarity of the lightning impulse voltage and the insulation breakdown characteristics according to the gas pressure at dry-air pressures of 0.1 Mpa to 0.45 Mpa. This study derives the maximum electric field with a 50 % discharge probability for each switchgear internal insulation vulnerable point based on the actual test and electrical simulation, which will be useful as reference data for supplementing and changing insulation design in the future.

  • The variations of cold gas properties such as density, pressure, temperature and velocity which are dependent each other are closely related with the dielectric recovery of an interrupter. So, the pressure-rises at no-load in the puffer cylinder and in front of fixed arcing contact of 800kV model interrupter were measured experimentally using pressure transducers of strain gage type and semiconducting type, respectively. The maximum value of pressure-rise in the puffer cylinder increased almost linearly from 7.6 bar at the minimum operated pressure to 9.7 bar at the maximum operated pressure, while the pressure-rise in front of fixed arcing contact was independent with the operated pressure. The measured values will be utilized in verifying the self-developed cold flow analysis program and as an input of commercialized CFD program package.

  • Recently, the industrial electric customers require a digital switchgear which can improve the safety and reliability of the power supply, and the quality of electric power by on-line monitoring the electric power information based on the internet under the ubiquitous environments. Accordingly, in this paper, a industrial switch-gear prototype is designed based on the power supply method of three phase, four-line type, and then a three-phase electric management module of the digital switchgear is made for industrial electric customer system. Finally, the three-phase voltage and current measuring function of the prototype is verified from real power load test.

  • In this paper, the UHF PD(Partial Discharge) sensors for $SF_6$ insulated MV $SF_6$ switchgear have been proposed and related investigations have been performed in order to detect the PD which were produced inside the MV $SF_6$ switchgear. Firstly, the internal type UHF PD sensor based on spiral antenna theory has been developed. This type sensor is highly sensitive and has lowly effect on by on-site noise. Secondly, the external type UHF PD sensor was developed based on log periodic antenna concept. This type sensor is removable and detectable for operating switchgear. These sensors were designed and simulated using RF simulation tool. In order to verify the sensitivity of these sensors, we performed the on-site test using the mock-up switchgears including the artificial defects which were the protrusion on high voltage conductor, free moving metal particle and surface defect on insulator. These mock-up switchgear were installed on the test distribution line.
