An experiment was conducted to characterize the seed vigour of sweet (su) and super sweet (sh2) corn seeds stored at different temperatures and relative humidities (RH). Hybrid seeds of Early Sunglow ${\times}$ Golden Cross Bantam 70 (su) and Xtrasweet 82 ${\times}$ Fortune (sh2) were stored at different temperatures ($5\;and\;15^{\circ}C$) and RH(70 and 85%) for 10 months. Results of the experiment show that seed deterioration of super sweet corn was much faster than that of sweet corn under all storage conditions. Germination rate of sweet corn seeds at $25^{\circ}C$ and emergence rate in cold test showed similar patterns. Emergence rate of super sweet corn in cold test was significantly lower than the germination rate at $25^{\circ}C$. Germination rate of both sweet and super sweet corns was positively correlated to the emergence rate in cold test, but the correlation coefficient of super sweet corn was much lower compared to the sweet corn. This implies that the viability of super sweet corn seeds should be tested in the cold test to estimate field emergence rate. Seeds of sweet corn could be stored for 5 months under all storage conditions without significant seed deterioration, while those of super sweet corn should be stored at low temperature and RH. The emergence rate of sweet corn in cold test was not correlated to the leakage of total sugars, electrolytes or ${\alpha}-amylase$ activity, while that of super sweet com was positively correlated to the ${\alpha}-amylase$ activity, negatively correlated to the leakage of electrolytes, and was not correlated to the leakage of total sugars.
In 2003, a survey of sweet potato virus disease was carried out in seed boxes as well as in various sweet potato fields. Virus infection rate was $5\sim100%$ and 100% at seed boxes and fields, respectively. No relationship of the disease incidence and severity was observed between sweet potato cultivating areas and cultivars. A total of 179 samples were collected and analyzed based on serological, electron microscopic and molecular properties. Field-grown sweet potatoes were examined to inspect 8 different viruses using NCM-ELISA, resulting that 30% of sweet potato was infected by one virus, whereas 70% was by more than 2 viruses. However, RT-PCR using primers selected for seven viruses, such as Sweet potato feathery mottle virus (SPFMV) revealed that of one-hundred seventy-nine tested; 71 of SPFMV, 29 of SPGV, 19 of SPFMV+SPGV, 1 of SPFMV+SwPLV, 1 of SPFMV+SPLCV, 2 of SPFMV+SPGV+SwPLV, 6 of SPFMV+SPGV+SPLCV, 2 of SPFMV+SPGV+SwPLV+SPLCV and 48 of unknown viruses were identified from the field samples. In root, viral diseases were severer in Yeoju than in Mokpo Experiment Station and infection rate was much different depending on sweet potato cultivars.

The analysis targeted the curriculum of general, subject education, and apecial activities that are required for SW education of 11 universities of education where SWEET project is applied. The results showed that the average credits related to SW education in elementary school teacher training institutions were 2.2 for general, 2.3 for subject education, and 0.6 for special activities. As a result of analyzing the changes in the curriculum by year, it can be interpreted as an effect of the SWEET project because the proportion of credits and hours in subject education increased and because the proportions of general and special activities decreased. However, on average, the credit related to SW education was 5.1, whereas the credits related to mathematics and science were 6.5 and 7.8, respectively, which indicated a need for revising and improving the curriculum for SW education.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to prove the clinical safety of Sweet Bee Venom(BV) and observe the physical reaction(percentage of localized itching & pain) after Sweet BV treatment. Methods : This study was carried out on 130 patients who had been injected with Sweet BV in Koran Medicine Hospital of Woosuk University from March 20, 2012 to June 30, 2013. Patients were treated with Sweet BV daily and we checked the physical reaction. After that, we analyzed those according to treatment times and body parts of injection. Results : 37 patients(28.46 %) complained localized itching and 41 patients(31.54 %) complained localized pain after Sweet BV injection. In 37 patients who complained localized itching, 8 patients were experienced itching in the first treatment. And 27 patients were experienced itching in the 1st~5th treatment. Wrist, ankle and toe were the highest percentage of localized itching. Finger was the highest percentage of localized pain. Knee showed a relatively higher percentage of itching, pain, itching & pain than other body parts. Conclusions : This study suggested that Sweet BV treatment was relatively safe treatment and doctors should explain the physical reaction before treating patients. Further studies are needed to propose a guideline for safety and treatment.

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of treatments and adequate concentration of ethephon on coloring promotion of peel of sweet persimmon 'Nishimurawase' cultivar. High concentration(30 and 40㎎/l) of ethephon treatments increased the coloring of peel. but they were unfavorable to marketability due to the decrease of firmness, the increase of softening ratio, and the short of marketing critical period of fruits. Low concentration(20㎎/l) of ethephon treatment maintained higher marketability in terms of coloring of peel, firmness, softening ratio, and marketing critical period of fruit.

Objectives : This study was conducted to compare antibacterial activities and free radical scavenging activity between the Bee Venom and Sweet Bee Venom in which the allergy-causing enzyme is removed. Methods : To evaluate antibacterial activities of the test samples, gram negative E. coli and gram positive St. aureus were compared using the paper disc method. For comparison of the antioxidant effects, DPPH(1,1-diphenyl-2picrylhydrazyl) free radical scavenging assay and Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substances(TBARS) assay were conducted. Results : 1. Antibacterial activity against gram negative E. coli was greater in the Sweet Bee Venom group than the Bee Venom group. 2. Antibacterial activity against gram positive St. aureus was similar between the Bee Venom and Sweet Bee Venom groups. 3. DPPH free radical scavenging activity of the Bee Venom group showed 2.8 times stronger than that of the Sweet Bee Venom group. 4. Inhibition of lipid peroxidation of the Bee Venom group showed 782 times greater than that of the Sweet Bee Venom group. Conclusions : The Bee Venom group showed outstanding antibacterial activity against gram positive St. aureus, and allergen-removed Sweet Bee Venom group showed outstanding antibacterial activity against both gram negative E. coli and gram positive St. aureus. For antioxidant effects, the Bee Venom was superior over the Sweet Bee Venom and the superiority was far more apparent for lipid peroxidation.
The purpose of this thesis was to develop pumpkin soup with different ratios of ingredients, using high-nutrient sweet pumpkins. P10G0 without sweet pumpkin and glutinous rice powder showed the highest moisture content, whereas, P5G0 whit Cheongdung pumpkin and sweet pumpkin at the same ratio whitout glutinous rice powder showed the lowest moisture content. For chromaticity lightness of control pumpkin soup scored the lowest. Lightness of P10G0 without sweet pumpkin and glutinous rice powder also scored the lowest. For redness, the P5 group with Cheongdung pumpkin and sweet pumpkin at the same ratio scored the highest while the P10 group without sweet pumpkin scored the lowest. As for yellowness, increased ratio of glutinous rice powder in pumpkin soup scored resulted in reduced yellowness in all groups P5 (p<0.01), P7 and P10 (p<0.001) A higher ratio of Cheongdung pumpkin was thus generally associated whit reduced yellowness (p<0.001). For the spread-ability, higher ratio of sweet pumpkin to Cheongdung pumpkin resulted in significant reduction of spread-ability. However, groups with 12% glutinous rice powder showed no significant differences. Spread-ability of the P5 and P10 groups significant increased and thereafter decreased according to the addition ratio of glutinous rice powder, viscosity of the G0 and G4 groups decreased according to the addition ratio of Cheongdung pumpkin, whereas they first decreased and then increased in the G8 and G12 groups. All groups showed increased viscosity whit more glutinous rice powder. For the sensory evaluation, P5G8 was mostly preferred in all aspects. P7G4 was superior in all aspects except for flavor. P10G4 scored the highest in all aspects except viscosity. For acceptance test, except for the control group, P7G4 whit added of 70% Cheongdung pumpkin, 30% sweet pumpkin and 4% glutinous rice powder was the most preferred in all aspects except color (gloss, viscosity, flavor, taste and overall quality).
This study was conducted to investigate the constituents of pumpkin and sweet-pumpkin. Moisture content of pumpkin was higher than that of sweet-pumpkin, but the other proximate constituents were lower. The major free amino acids were aspartic acid, threonine and cystine in pumpkin and cystine, arginine and tyrosine in sweet-pumpkin. Non-volatile organic acid of sweet-pumpkin was higher than that of pumpkin. Crude fat content of pumpkin and sweet-pumpkin were 0.33% and 0.48%. The major fatty acids were palmitic acid, linolenic acid and linoleic acid in pumpkin and oleic acid, linoleic acid and palmitic acid in sweet-pumpkin. The content of unsaturated fatty acid was 52.3%, 71.5% in pumpkin and sweet-pumpkin, respectively. The contents of minerals, vitamin C and carotenoid in sweet-pumpkin were higher than those of pumpkin.
The physical properties of puffed snack by pellet with sweet potato flour, brown rice flour and wheat flour were evaluated at different moisture content, puffing temperature, and puffing time. The sweet potato pellets were tempered to 14, 16, and 18% moisture content and were puffed at 233, 238, and $243^{\circ}C$ for 4, 5 and 6 s. The whitness ($L^*$) value decreased as the heating temperature and time increased. The redness ($a^*$) and yellowness ($b^*$) values increased with increasing heating temperature and time. The specific volume of sweet potato puffed snacks showed an increasing trend with higher puffing conditions. The hardness of sweet potato puffed snacks increased as heating time and heating temperature increased. The sweet potato puffed snacks prepared with increasing moisture content (18%), heating times (6 s), and heating temperatures ($243^{\circ}C$) were awarded the highest scores for most of the sensory attributes and hence declared as best sweet potato puffed snacks.

When the high power transistor is used for amplifier in microwave frequency, the bias of transistor is usually AB-class or B-c1ass because of power efficiency. The sweet spot point having small IMD signal compared with near neighborhood exicts frequently in the high power transistor using AB class bias or B-class bias. On the sweet spot, the magnitude and phase of the main and IMD signal of HPA output change as the input signal power change, respective the relative phase on the sweet spot changes rapidly. If we know exactly the magnitude and phase characteristics of IMD signal, we can design a more adequate linearizer and understand the characteristics of transistor. In this paper the magnitude and phase of the main and IMD signal of HPA output on the sweet spot are measured using the designed hardware.
