  • GPS survey came into wide use, but there are inefficient parts in related laws and regulations. Especially, to get GPS surveying results under 1.5cm permissible error the observation time must be longer than 8 hours in triangulation points surveying regulations. However, GPS surveying technology is developing now, so results could be acceptable under 4 hours observation time. Therefore, this study made a stable standard of observation time in GPS survey by comparing the errors due to observation time, and used PAJU, DOND and YANP's GPS data and 6 cadastral points' survey data. Also, to analyze the variations of results due to baseline distance, applied each GPS site as a fixed point and compared the positions. As a result, the stable satisfactory results were calculated under 4 hour survey, when the baseline distances were under 30km.

  • DEEP-South (DEep Ecliptic Patrol of the Southern Sky) team will start the 2nd phase of KMTNet observation in Oct 2020. The DEEP-South observation mainly consists of three survey modes: (1) Activity survey (AS) that aims at finding active phenomena of small Solar System bodies. (2) Light curve survey (LS) targets to discover and characterize light variations of asteroids. And (3) Deep drilling survey (DS) focuses on the objects beyond the orbit of Jupiter (Centaurus and trans-Neptunian objects) as well as near Earth asteroids. For asteroid family (AF) studies and target of opportunity (TO) observations for urgent photometric follow-up, targeted mode will also be used. DEEP-South team is awarded 7.0% of the telescope time at each site every year from Oct 2020 to Sep 2023 in the 2nd phase of KMTNet operation which corresponds to about 75 full nights a year for the network. In this presentation, we will introduce our survey strategy and observation plan.

  • The maritime traffic system research has been studied for the safety and efficiency of the Marine Navigation. In order to evaluate the maritime traffic system, the vessel traffic observation is playing important roll. Recently, the way of collecting the vessel traffic information has been become fixed by using the radar, the AIS and the visual observations. However, it is still difficult to get the information about ships without the AIS. In this paper, the past vessel traffic observation results are shown. From those data and introducing the way of Japanese traffic survey, the recent matters of the vessel traffic observation are discussed.

  • We executed a simultaneous survey of 22 GHz water maser and 44 GHz methanol maser toward 290 shocked $H_2$ emitting regions, which were identified from the galactic plane survey at $H_2$ 2.122 micrometer (UKIRT Widefield Infrared Survey for $H_2$; UWISH2). The primary goal of this observation is to characterize the H2 emission sources whether they are sincerely due to the outflows of young stellar objects or other shocked emission from older/evolved objects. We discovered 15 water maser sources and 15 methanol maser sources which provide the detection rate of around 5 percents. Most of detected sources have IRAS sources, infrared dark clouds, and/or submilimeter sources in the beam size of KVN single dish. In this poster, we will present the detailed results of our survey observation and discuss about the star formation rate in the galactic plane.

  • Nepal is a country of mountains The higher order geodetic points were mostly established on the top of mountains and these points were used for the geodetic network extension. Lower order geodetic control networks were established at different times and used for the surveying and mapping activities of the country.. It has been found that the rate of convergence between north and south borders of Nepal to be 21${\pm}$2 mm each year and the rate translation of Kathmandu to 55${\pm}$3 mm/year to the plates. The most intense deformation in Nepal occurs along the belt of high mountains along its northern border res ulting in a strain contraction rate normal to the Himalayan Arc. This belt is approximately 40 km wide and extends into southern Tibet.( 13). Recently Survey Department of Nepal has lunched a program of strengthening the existing geodetic network of Nepal and re-observed the position of higher order geodetic points by using geodetic GPS receivers to evaluate their position and thus to define the precision of the control points once again. This paper describes the observation procedure and the adjustment results of the existing higher order control network of Nepal established in different time using different types of equipment and techniques; and highlights the observation procedure and the result obtained after the post processing of the GPS observation results. Attempt has been made to give the procedure and identify the methodology for the re observation of existing higher order geodetic points by using GPS receiver and post processing the observed data so that the existing higher order geodetic points are within the given accuracy standard.

  • This study is purposed to survey on astronomical observation experiences of elementary students and teachers. Survey samples are 182 elementary students and 51 elementary teachers, and 8 students and 2 teachers among them are interviewed. The results of this study show that most elementary students are not interested in observing constellations, planets, and moon. Also most elementary students and teachers are not taught to observe astronomical objects. Finally, regarding the difficulty of astronomical practice, teachers pointed out that lack of knowledge about astronomy.
