MCFC 분리판 부식거동에 관한 연구 (Corrosion behavior of separator for molten Cab -onate Fuel Cell)

  • The molten carbonate fuel cell has conspicuous features and high potential in being used as an energy converter of various fuels to electricity and heat. However, the MCFC which use strongly corrosive molten carbonate at $650^{\circ}C$ have many problem. Systematic investigation on corrosion behavior of Fe/20Cr/Ti has been done in (62+38)mol % (Li+K) $CO_3$ melt at 923K by using. steady state polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method. It found that the corrosion current of these Febased alloys decreased with increasing Ti content, and this attribute to the formation of $LiCrO_2$ layer at the surface.

  • The catalyst layer of a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell is a mixture of polymer, carbon, and platinum. The characteristics of the catalyst layer play critical role in determining the performance of the PEM fuel cell. This research investigates the role of catalyst layer composition using a Central Composite Design (CCD) experiment with two factors which are Nafion content and carbon loading while the platinum catalyst surface area is held constant. For each catalyst layer composition, polarization curves are measured to evaluate cell performance at common operating conditions, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) are then applied to investigate the cause of the observed variations in performance. The results show that both Nafion and carbon content significantly affect MEA performance. The ohmic resistance and active catalyst area of the cell do not correlate with catalyst layer composition, and observed variations in the cell resistance and active catalyst area produced changes in performance that were not significant relative to compositions of catalyst layers.

Stearic acid is used as viscoelastic medium and deposited on the surface of quartz crystal using the Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) method. Impedance properties of quartz crystal coated with LB films which were investigated and the possibility of applying the technique to chemical sensing introduced.

  • In this paper, we present the 3DOF force-reflecting interface which allows to acquire force of object within a virtual environment. This system is composed of device, virtual environment model, and force-reflecting rendering algorithm. We design a 3 DOF force-reflecting device using the parallel linkage, torque shared by wire, and the controller of system applied by impedance control algorithm. The force-reflecting behaviour implemented as a function position is equivalent to controlling the mechanical impedance felt by the user. Especially how force should be supplied to user, we know using a God-Object algorithm. As we experiment a system implemented by the interface of 3D virtual object and 3DOF force-reflecting interface, we can feel a contact, non-contact of 3D virtual object surface and sensing of push button model.

  • 최근에 소개된 능동 FSS(active frequency selective surface) 또는 ESS(electromagnetic smart screen)는 2차원 금속섬유 복합재료에서 금속섬유의 부하저항을 변화시킴으로써 복합재료의 분산특성을 변경시키는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 부하저항의 변화에 따른 ESS의 분산특성을 효율적으로 계산하기 위해 GEC(generalized equivalent conductor) 기법을 기반으로 수정하여 적용한다. 부하저항에 따른 ESS의 투과계수와 유효유전율을 1~40 GHz의 범위에서 시뮬레이션 한다. 또한, 부하저항을 변경함으로써 공진주파수와 대역폭을 변경할 수 있음을 보인다.

  • Physical properties and impedance-humidity characteristics of carbon nitride films were investigated for micro-humidity-sensors. Carbon nitride films were deposited in low temperature and low power for application of semiconductor fabrication process, and empirical equation was proposed for thickness evaluation. Deposited films had an uniform and compact surface comparing with previously reported results, which was expected a good candidate for humidity sensing materials. Carbon nitride humidity sensors based on Si substrate revealed good humidity-impedance characteristics with a wide range of relative humidity and showed low hysteresis.

링형 압전 변환기의 면내 진동 특성 (In-plane Vibration Characteristics of Piezoelectric Ring Transducers)

  • This paper experimentally deals with the vibration characteristics of flat ring transducers used for ultrasonic sensors and actuators. Radial vibration mode, which is the fundamental mode of a thin piezoelectric transducer, was measured by a laser in-plane vibrometer. An impedance analyzer was used to measure natural frequencies. The results measured by experiments verified theoretical predictions. The vibration characteristics of ring transducers were identified according to the outer diameter size. The shape of the fundamental mode is almost uniform but slightly decreases from the inner to the outer circumferential surfaces. The natural frequency of the fundamental mode decreases as the outer diameter increases. It appears that the ring type transducer is suitable to excite uniformly distributed vibration on a flat surface.

표면 경계조건을 이용한 코러게이트 혼 안테나 특성 해석 (An analysis of characteristics of corrugated horn antenna using surface impedance condition)

  • We obtained the predicted and measured results for the reflection coefficient and radiation pattern of Ka-band (20- GHz) corrugated horn, which is usually used for feeder of reflector antenna for satellite communication, using suface impedance condition. In order to predict the reture losses of corrugated horn, we analyzed propagation constant of hybrid mode in the corrugated waveguide and then obtained the total reflection coefficient using the circuti theory of multi-step transformer. We also got the radiation pattern of corrugated horn with small flare angle, considering the phase deviation and integrate transverse field on aperture. A test model of corrugated horn antenna for Ka-band designed using theory and program displayed performance and the results agree with the theoretical prediction.

  • Microstrip antennas generally have a lot of advantages that are thin profile, lightweight, low cost, and conformability to a shaped surface application with integrated circuitry. In addition to military applications, they have become attractive candidates in a variety of commercial applications such as mobile satellite communications, the direct broadcast system (DBS), global positioning system (GPS), and remote sensing. Recently, many of the researches have been achieved for improving the impedance bandwidth of microstrip antennas. The basic form of the microstrip antenna, consisting of a conducting patch printed on a grounded substrate, has an impedance bandwidth of $1\~2\%$. For improvement of narrow bandwidth of microstrip patch, we were designed U-slot microstrip patch antenna in this paper. This antenna had wide bandwidth for all personal communication services (PCS) and IMT-2000. For the design of U-slot microstrip patch antenna using a finite difference time domain(FDTD) method. This numerical method could get the frequency property of U-slot patch antenna and the electromagnetic fields of slots.
