Great effort has been exerted to redesign the supply chain network as a means to improve corporate competitiveness. In this study, we present a mathematical model and a solution system to help redesign corporate logistics networks. The objective of the model is to minimize total logistics costs. We applied the solution system to real problem cases. We use the model and the concept to develop decision support system that is based on C++ with the use of CPLEX callable library as a solution engine. We tested and verified the DSS for redesigning the network of a large Korean electronics company. Through various scenario analyses. we recommend to redesign their supply chain network that demonstrates the possibility of substantial logistics cost savings.

Construction supply chain management (CSCM) has become one of the critical factors that determine the success of a construction project as it becomes increasingly complicated and mega-sized. Particularly for high-rise or mega-sized building construction, just-in-time supply chain management is required due to lack of storage space and effective logistics for construction components and materials at a construction site. Despite the fact that research and development of radio frequency identification (RFID) and wireless sensor network (WSN) technology have been performed, construction project managers still need to carry mobile devices and check material and component flow at each stage of the supply chain process. This research proposes that the equipment used in the construction supply chain process, such as movers, trailers, gates, and hoists, can become main actors in the supply chain process using RFID and WSN technologies. And the proposed equipment and process focused on a solution to the redundancy identification problem, which has been observed in operations that use RFID/WSN-based processes for construction logistics. This paper also presents issues identified through verification and validation of the research results and proposes further studies.

There has been a major change in the way of life and thinking of all mankind due to covid19. In particular, managerial issues related to supply chain such as global supply chain disruption, and trade friction among countries are drawing the attention. Accordingly, a number of studies are being conducted on the supply chain challenges and solutions to overcome the covid19 crisis, but published research on the impact of covid19 on supply chain management is lacking. In this study, network text analysis is conducted mainly on news articles and this study summarizes the issues related to supply chain management in the era of covid19. The trend analysis results indicated that actively discussed area was global supply chain restructuring and confirmed that main topics are re-shoring, applications of new technology, and the new normal in supply chains. The findings are expected to help expand the scope of research in supply chain management research in the covid19 era.

Recently, a multi facility, multi product and multi period industrial problem has been widely investigated in Supply Chain Management (SCM). One of the key issues in the current SCM research area involved reducing both production and distribution costs. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimum quantity of production and transportation with minimum cost in the supply chain network. We have presented a mathematical model that deals with real world factors and constructs. Considering the complexity of solving such model, we have applied the genetic algorithm approach for solving this model computational experiments using a commercial genetic algorithm based optimizer. The results show that the real size problems we encountered can be solved In reasonable time
This paper presents a supply chain framework with the ODM (Original Design Manufacturing)-OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) hybrid production of textile industry in FTA (Free Trade Agreements) environments between Korea and other countries. The proposed supply chain framework with ODM-OEM hybrid production is a unique supply chain that has both domestic production with non-tariff advantages in FTA environment and oversea production with low labor costs. To investigate the validity of the proposed supply chain, we first construct its strategic profit model and supply chain planning and then show that each member of supply chain network-yarn manufacturer, fabric manufacturer, and apparel manufacturer-can maximize their own profits without conflicts among the members. The efficiency of the ODM-OEM hybrid production system is analytically verified in comparison with the general OEM and ODM production model using profit models. Comprehensive numerical examples are provided to illustrate the advantages of the proposed system.
In this paper, real-time water quality monitoring system of small water supply facilities based on IEEE 802.15.4e-2012 DSME MAC and IEEE 802.15.4g-2012 PHY standard is presented, which is capable to acquire for highly reliable water quality information in the wide outdoor areas for effective water quality management of small water quality facilities is distributed in the long distance and remote areas. Previously, Long distance transmission is difficult in most water quality sensor module is using RS-485 protocol. But with this system, even in harsh outdoor environment, it is possible to establish a radio wave sensor in a wide area network, and not only water quality sensor shall be connected to the wireless system, but also wireless integrated management system shall provide more effective way of management of the numerous small water supply facilities spread throughout the community, so that the administrator can remotely monitor the data of water turbidity, pH, residual chlorine in the water-supply, water-level, and generate alarm to cope with risks. The management of small water facilities is done by residents will be very effective to notice water quality information of small water facilities to residents.
The convergence of fixed and wireless networks in data communication is providing the necessary driver for M2M commerce to take-off. The opportunities provided by M2M Commerce areonly limited by imagination. Automotive Fleet and Freight, Tolling, Water and Power Metering, Supply Chain Management including Asset Management, Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics, Energy Management and Access Control and Security are among the many M2M applications that are currently getting rolled out. ARC Group expects the worldwide solutions market to be worth in excess of US$ 100 billion by 2007. In addition, operator revenues worldwide from the transport of Telematics data alone will rise from US$ 3.5 billion in 2002 to US$ 78 billion by 2007. This paper discusses some of the lifestyle and business opportunities provided by M2M Commerce in the new ear of network convergence. It also provides some case studies to demonstrate the benefits of M2M Commerce across the supply chain. The key focus of the paper is on achieving enhanced lifestyle, cost reduction, improved profitability and enhanced customer relationship management through M2M Commerce.
A memory module industry's supply chain usually consists of multiple manufacturing sites and multiple distribution centers. In order to fulfill the variety of demands from downstream customers, production planners need not only to decide the order allocation among multiple manufacturing sites but also to consider memory module industrial characteristics and supply chain constraints, such as multiple material substitution relationships, capacity, and transportation lead time, fluctuation of component purchasing prices and available supply quantities of critical materials (e.g., DRAM, chip), based on human experience. In this research, a directed graph-based supply network planning (DGSNP) model is developed for memory module industry. In addition to multi-site order allocation, the DGSNP model explicitly considers production planning for each manufacturing site, and purchasing planning from each supplier. First, the research formulates the supply network's structure and constraints in a directed-graph form. Then, a proposed genetic algorithm (GA) solves the matrix form which is transformed from the directed-graph model. Finally, the final matrix, with a calculated maximum profit, can be transformed back to a directed-graph based supply network plan as a reference for planners. The results of the illustrative experiments show that the DGSNP model, compared to current memory module industry practices, determines a convincing supply network planning solution, as measured by total profit.

Due to the rapid development of manufacturing and information technology, traditional supply chain scheme has been changed dramatically Most companies have been forced to relocate or redesign their logistics network in different countries. A supply chain partnership is a relationship formed between two independent members in supply chain through information sharing to achieve specific objectives and benefits in terms of reductions in total costs and inventories. This study illustrates the benefits of supply chain partnerships based on information sharing and lead-time patterns. We consider three level of information sharing: (1) immediate order information; (2) demand information; (3) inventory information. Given a fixed total lead-time, how lead-time distribution will affect the bullwhip effect and inventory cost under information sharing strategies. The results can help improving supply chain performance and selecting suitable direction for the re-configuration of supply chain network.

Supply chain management (SCM) became a critical success factor for firms. As a result, researchers have carried out related research on SCM. This study aims to explore the research trends in SCM in Korea using network text analysis. We collected the information of 586 articles published in Korean journals using the RISS database, and analyzed the network generated by keywords proposed in the articles. The results showed that there are five research keyword clusters such as logistics, information systems, partnership, risk management, and sustainability.
