  • Deep learning is a promising solution to a number of complex problems based on its inherent capability to approximate almost all types of functions without the demand for handcrafted feature extraction. New wireless transmission and access schemes based on deep learning are being increasingly proposed as substitutes for existing approaches, providing a lower complexity and better performance gain. Among such schemes, a communications system is viewed as an end-to-end autoencoder. The learning process applied in autoencoders can automatically deal with some nonlinear or unknown properties in communications systems. Deep learning can also be used to optimize each processing block for required tasks such as channel decoding, signal detection, and multiple access. On top of recent related research trends, we suggest appropriate research approaches for communications systems to adopt deep learning.

  • Conductive polymers(CPs) are a relatively new class of organic materials displaying as their foremost property a high conductivity combined with very light weight, flexibility and reasonably facile processability[1]. Due to their high conductivity/weight ratio, they have recently evinced much interest in potential application as EMI shielding screens, coatings or jackets for flexible conductors, rechargeable batteries and as possible substitutes for metallic conductors or semiconductors in wide variety of electrical devices[2].   • A new field in dental implantology is developing with the goal of finding new ways to improve the osteoconductivity of bone substitutes and to study new molecules able to dictate cellular differentiation and improve bone regeneration. The real future in bone regeneration seems to be in connection with the rhBMP-2s, currently obtained by synthesis using recombinant DNA. Since the first rhBMP-2 studies in humans by Boyne, There are many studies for bone regeneration at oral and maxillofacial area. The rhBMP-2 is widely used at sinus augmentation, alveolar bone defect, and socket preservation.

  • The dielectric properties of glass ceramics with BaTiO$_3$ crystallites are described. In this study measurements were made over the frequency range 1kHz-10MHz and temperature range $25^{\circ}C$-15$0^{\circ}C$. There are several minor constituents in the glass which needed to obtain the desired properties. The fluorine ion substitutes for oxygen in glass-crystallized BaTiO$_3$. And additions of Mg ion is used to shift the Curie temperature. We show the addition of Mg ion lowers the Curie point to about 323。K.

  • For the fast dry of the aqueous tape, the process which water was replaced by organic solvent was proposed. So-called, it was the solvent washing dry, Three organic solvents (methanol, ethanol, and acetone) were selected for the washing solvent. The weight loss of the washed tapes was measured to evaluate the dry rate of the tapes and dried tapes were examined the generation of the cracks with the variations of the organic solvent and the washing time. Methanol, ethanol, and acetone were all available organic solvents for this method. The tapes washed in methanol, ethanol, and acetone were dried rapidly for twenty minutes. After thirty minutes, the weight losses were not any more. The solvent of the lower surface tension can decreases the crack of dried tape. If solvent substitutes water completely, though it was fast dried, crack can be eliminated. The tape casting system was designed for the solvent washing dry and prepared. An homogeneous tape was established by continuous tape casting process.

  • In this paper, the characteristic of the Linear DC motor(LDM) are analyzed by using 3 Dimensional Equivalent Magnetic Circuit Network (3D EMCN), the movement of mover substitutes for the movement of magnetization in permanent magnet expressed by Fourier series, thrust characteristic analysis is performed and the appropriateness of analysed result is verified by comparing with the results of 2 Dimensional Finite Element Method (2D FEM) and experiment.

  • In general, analog tester or strip chart recorder have been used to measure the corrosion potential of structures such as gas pipelines, oil pipelines, hot water pipelines, power cables etc. Recently, automatic digital data logger substitutes for these manual equipment because using these manual equipments are tedious and time consuming. However, digital data logger also has a shortcoming, that is, short measuring time because of the short lifetime of batteries. Therefore, we developed a long lifetime and low power loss battery taking advantage of galvanic series. In this paper, the results of development for power generator using two metals and DC/DC converter in order to obtain enough voltage for the operation of digital data logger. DC/DC converter operates with 0.5[V]. Its output voltage is 3.5[V] and output current is from 60[mAh] to 1,200[mAh].

  • Practical controllers of industrial systems are usually designed and realized in continuous time domain. However, due to the programmable and flexible nature of digital computers and the speed and stability superioity of digital components over analog ones, it seems more effective to adapt digital controllers. When an existing analog controller performs satisfactory, it is often advantageous to use the digital redesign techinque to obtain an equlivalent digital controller which substitutes the analog one. One method of the digital redesign is to use a periodic gain. This method gives a riffle effect on the steady state response, although it's transient response is satisfactory. This paper suggests a method which eliminates or deminishes periodic ripples generated by the periodic function.

  • Recently, supplementary cementitious materials such as blast-furnace slag, fly ash and silica fume have been widely used as substitutes for cementitious materials. In this study, the deformation behavior of compressive loading of C3S paste with 50% fly ash was analyzed by X-ray scattering data and pair distribution function analysis. The obtained results were compared with 131-day-old pure C3S paste. The Ca(OH)2 of the C3S-FA paste showed almost complete elastic behavior, consistent with the deformation behavior of the r-range of 20 to 40, and the C-S-H phase contributed to the range of PDF r-range of less than 20. In addition, C-S-H of C3S-FA showed greater deformation resistance than C3S paste.

  • Effect of Pd addition on crystal structures of two nickel silicides, NiSi and $NiSi_2$, is investigated by using an ab initio calculation. A Pd atom substitutes a Ni and Si site, respectively, to evaluate the preferable site between them. Pd prefers Ni site to Si site in NiSi, while it prefers Si site to Ni site in $NiSi_2$. The calculated total energy also indicates that the Pd substitution to Si site stabilizes the $NiSi_2$ structure. This calculated data matches well with the experimental data obtained from Atom probe.
