Reconfiguration of PV Module Considering the Shadow Influence of Photovoltaic System (태양광 발전시스템의 그림자 영향을 고려한 PV 모듈의 재구성)

  • This paper proposes the reconfiguration of PV module considering shadow influence of photovoltaic system. The PV system is consisted series-parallel connection of PV module. The voltage and current between PV modules become unbalance when shadow occurs to PV module. If shadow occurs to the series connection PV module, the output current is limited to current of shaded PV module. Also if shadow occurs to the parallel connection PV module, the output voltage is limited to voltage of shaded PV module. These problems are caused power loss. Therefore, the PV module in this paper consist using the fixed module and variable module by shaded conditions. The reconfiguration of PV module can compensates the shadow influence by changing connection of a variable module when shadow is occurred to PV module. A validity of the reconfiguration of PV module proposed in this paper proves through comparing with performance of conventional PV module.

Design of MAC Chip for AWG-based WDM-PON-II: MAC Protocol (AWG 기반의 WDM-PON을 위한 MAC 칩 설계-II: MAC 프로토콜)

  • In this paper, we design and verify the MAC chip of the two-stage AWG-based WDM-PON which considers 128 ONUs and 32 wavelengths. Each wavelength with the capacity of 1Gbps is allocated to ONU for downstream transmission but each wavelength for upstream transmission can be shared by four ONUs. Therefore, MAC protocol is required to avoid the collision and use the network resource efficiently among ONUs which are sharing the same wavelength. To design a request/permit-based MAC protocol, we define a unit-chip module called sub-MAC. The WDM-PON with 128 ONUs can be implemented by using 32 sub-MAC modules. The sub-MAC consists of one control unit, one receipt unit and four transmission units. The state transition diagram of the module is described by the internal/external control signals among the functional units. The function of the sub-MAC module is verified through logic simulation using ModelSIM.

  • Most portable mobile devices employ rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. This lithium-ion battery usually suffers from the possibility of explosion due to heat generation from surrounding atmosphere or internal deficiency during charging or at overuse. To solve these problems, most rechargeable batteries have a built-in protection circuit module (PCM). The resistance of a properly processed $VO_2$ critical temperature sensor (CTS) is changed dramatically at a critical temperature of around $68^{\circ}C$, which can replace some bi-metal, NTC, or PTC sensors embedded in PCM. Such $VO_2$ CTS consumes a very small current at the level of natural discharge. Experimental results showed that this CTS could be applied to a PCM as the PCM could protect the battery while keeping its power consumption at minimum.

  • A fast response analyzer for measuring carbon dioxide concentration has been developed for transient characteristic and researches tested on internal combustion engine. The analyzer uses the well known NDIR(Non-Dispersive Infrared) method with miniaturized detection system, giving a time constant of approximately 30 microsecond, and sampling module consists of capillary tube. Since the transit time and the time constant of the sampling system depend on the sampling conditions, it is necessary to investigate the characteristics of sampling system before applied to exhaust gas measurement in engine. A unique method was designed to study the influence of the diameter of transfer sample line and operating conditions of the FRNDIR on transit time and time constant. A database of transit time and time constant was built up for different measured and simulated pressure conditions. The database can be used for correcting eventual $CO_2$ concentration measurement.

A Design of the OOPP(Optimized Online Portfolio Platform) using Enterprise Competency Information (기업 직무 정보를 활용한 OOPP(Optimized Online Portfolio Platform)설계)

  • This paper proposes the OOPP(Optimized Online Portfolio Platform) design for the job seekers to search for the job competency necessary for employment and to write and manage portfolio online efficiently. The OOPP consists of three modules. First, JDCM(Job Data Collection Module) stores the help-wanted advertisements of job information sites in a spreadsheet. Second, CSM(Competency Statistical Model) classifies core competencies for each job by text-mining the collected help-wanted ads. Third, OBBM(Optimize Browser Behavior Module) makes users to look up data rapidly by improving the processing speed of a browser. In addition, The OBBM consists of the PSES(Parallel Search Engine Sub-Module) optimizing the computation of a Search Engine and the OILS(Optimized Image Loading Sub-Module) optimizing the loading of image text, etc. The performance analysis of the CSM shows that there is little difference in accuracy between the CSM and the actual advertisement because its data accuracy is 99.4~100%. If Browser optimization is done by using the OBBM, working time is reduced by about 68.37%. Therefore, the OOPP makes users look up the analyzed result in the web page rapidly by analyzing the help-wanted ads. of job information sites accurately.

Defects and Electrical Properties of NiO and Co3O4-doped ZnO-Bi2O3-Sb2O3 Ceramics (NiO와 Co3O4를 첨가한 ZnO-Bi2O3-b2O3 세라믹스의 결함과 전기적 특성)

  • In this study we aims to examine the effects of $Co_3O_4$ and NiO doping on the defects and electrical properties in ZnO-$Bi_2O_3-Sb_2O_3$ (Sb/Bi=0.5) varistors. It seemed to form ${Zn_i}^{{\cdot}{\cdot}}$(0.20 eV) and ${V_o}^{\cdot}$(0.33 eV) as dominant defects in Co and Ni co-doped ZBS system, however only ${V_o}^{\cdot}$ appeared in Co- or Ni-doped ZBS. Even though the same defects it was different in capacitance (1.5~4.5 nF) and resistance ($0.3{\sim}9.5k{\Omega}$). The varistor characteristics were improved with Co and Co+Ni doping (non-linear coefficient, ${\alpha}$= 36 and 29, relatively) in ZBS. The various parameters ($N_d=1.43{\sim}2.33{\times}10^{17}cm^{-3}$, $N_t=1.40{\sim}2.28{\times}10^{12}cm^{-2}$, ${\Phi}b$=1.76~2.37 V, W= 98~118 nm) calculated from the C-V characteristics in our systems did not depend greatly on the type of dopant, which were in the range of a typical ZnO varistors. It should be derived a improved C-V equation carefully for more reliable parameters because the variation of the varistor capacitance as a function of the applied dc voltage is depend on the defect, frequency, and temperature.

  • In this paper, we introduce and study the generalized inverse $A^{(1,2)}_{T,S}$ with the prescribed range T and null space S of an adjointable operator A from one Hilbert $C^*$-module to another, and get some analogous results known for finite matrices over the complex field or associated rings, and the Hilbert space operators.

  • Let R be a commutative ring. An R-module E is said to be regular injective provided that Ext1R(R/I, E) = 0 for any regular ideal I of R. We first show that the class of regular injective modules have the hereditary property, and then introduce and study the regular injective dimension of modules and regular global dimension of rings. Finally, we give some homological characterizations of total rings of quotients and Dedekind rings.

  • This paper is motivated by the results in [6]. We study some properties of strongly irreducible submodules of a module. In fact, our objective is to investigate strongly irreducible modules and to examine in particular when sub modules of a module are strongly irreducible. For example, we show that prime submodules of a multiplication module are strongly irreducible, and a characterization is given of a multiplication module over a Noetherian ring which contain a non-prime strongly irreducible submodule.

  • We designed and fabricated the single mode fiber pigtailed DFB-LD module for 2.5 Gbps optical communication system. In the design of the DFB-LD module, we made the module divided into two parts of inner sub-module and outer 14-pin butterfly package and cylindrical shaped sub-module contain quasi confocal 2 lens system including optical isolator and electrical connection between these parts via hybrid substrate of bias T circuit. Laser welding was used to assemble the sub-module which requires accurate fixing between optical elements. The fabricated DFB-LD module showed optical coupling efficiency of 20% and - 3 dB small signal response of more than 2.6 GHz. We confirmed mechanical reliability of the module by temperature cycle test where the tested module exhibit optical power fluctuation of less than 10%. Finally we evaluated the performance of the fabricated DFB-LD module as light source of 2.5 Gbps optical communication system, sensitivity of - 30.2 dBm was obtained through 47 km optical fiber transmission under the criterion of $1\times10^{-10}$ BER and transmission penalties were 1.5 dB caused by extinction ratio and 1.0 dB caused by chromatic dispersion of normal single mode fiber. fiber.
