Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the clinical instructors' role experience in college of nursing. Method: Two focus group interviews were held with a total of 12 clinical instructors. All interviews were recorded and transcribed as they were spoken, and the collected data were analyzed using content analysis of Downe-Wamboldt(1992). Results: Three themes and six subthemes were extracted from the analysis: 1) Getting recognition of special roles as a clinical instructor: 'Recognizing the role of clinical instructor for guiding student's individual practice goals', 'Recognizing helping and supporting roles for student's successful clinical practice', 2) Having difficulty in performing the role of clinical practice instructor: 'Difficulty from the lack of knowledge and experience as a clinical practice instructor', 'Difficulty from the gap between current clinical practice and purpose of clinical nursing practice', 3) Making efforts to overcome the difficulties as a clinical instructor and accomplishing personal development: 'Making efforts to acquire personal knowledge and experience', 'Making a chance to reflect on and grow up oneself'. Conclusion: Clinical instructors take an important part of clinical nursing education. To improve the quality of clinical nursing education, it is needed role reestablishment and institutional support for clinical instructors on the basis of the understanding of instructors' experience.

The purpose of this study was to examine the affecting factors of sexual experience by gender of 548 college students. The data was collected from 20th May to 20th June, 2013 in Gyeongsan City. Age, living arrangement, high school, dating experience and sexual attitudes of parents were significantly different in sexual experience and gender. The sex experienced student were first sexual intercourse during high school, and sex partner was 'dating partner'. The sex experienced student answered 'sometimes' about contraception, and sex place was 'own or partner's house'. In correlation of factors, sexual attitude and sexual subjectivity was related. Affecting factor of sexual experience were age, sexual attitude of parents', sexual knowledge, and sexual attitude. To improve effective and accessibility of sexual education program, it needs to use these study results and affecting factors in order to developing sex education program for college students.

Background: This study was conducted to investigate the factors that influence sexual intercourse experience of university students in Korea. Methods: We selected 244 students who completed a questionnaire about general characteristics, sexual attitude, sexual intercourse experience, depression. It was analyzed by logistic regression using sexual attitude of university student, father, and mother as explanatory variables. Results: The results showed that sexual intercourse experience was more frequent in the respondents who were more open about sexual attitude, those whose mothers have more open mind to sexual attitude, and those who were less depressed. Conclusions: The sexual intercourse experience is important to affect the upcoming adult period in university students. This study suggests that it is necessary to develop systematically the sexual education program in university and society.

In order to provide pre-service teachers with rich contexts for learning to teach mathematics, teacher education programs usually combine a mathematics methods course with clinical teaching experiences. This paper explores a student-teacher's experience of loaming to teach mathematics by observing one mathematics methods course she was enrolled in and her actual classroom teaching. In particular, this ethnographic case study examines how the student-teacher understands and applies messages from the methods course to her teaching practices. Some differences emerge with regard to ideas and practices. The underlying factors for explaining the gaps are discussed. Finally, this paper provides some implications for pre-service teacher education.

Medical students often need high levels of specialized institutional and personal support to recover from a burnout experience and to prevent student failure. This study aimed to present approaches to supporting medical students who had experienced burnout using case studies. The study subjects were 45 burnout cases who had been supported by the student support system and committee in one medical school. The factors associated with burnout include poor social network: the lack of belongingness, immature sense of identity, poor mental health, a lack of intrinsic motivation and aptitude, or a major personal crisis. We summarized some tips according to the factors associated with burnout. These tips should provide guidance to organizations and individual support providers to encourage the best quality support for medical students with burnout experiences.

The objective of this study was to determine the status of current chapel courses and analyze the necessity of online chapel courses. Students' interest, failure experience, perceived problems, and advantages of current chapel courses were examined. Students' preference, intention of sincerity, and perceived effectiveness of online chapel courses were also determined. Finally, hypothesis tests for the differences of students' interest, failure experience, perceived problems and advantages of current chapel courses, preference, intention of sincerity, and perceived effectiveness of online chapel courses according to gender, school year grade, major of study, and religion were performed. Students' low interest in chapel courses was verified. Even Christian students' interest was below 3 points out of 5-point Likert scale. However, students whose religion was not Christianity felt more coercion and had less interest in chapel courses. They wanted virtualization of chapel courses more. They had more willingness to faithful participation in online chapel courses. This research suggests that virtualization of chapel courses as a solution to chapel resistance is dependent on student's characteristics such as religion, major field of study, and mindset.

Purpose: This phenomenological analysis was conducted to explore the experiences of college student volunteers in the field of pediatric palliative care. Methods: In-depth interviews were conducted with nine study participants who had experience volunteering with children receiving pediatric palliative care. The study analysis was conducted using the Colaizzi method, a rigorous qualitative research method, to develop "intra-group" comparisons among the study participants. Results: Through an analysis of the data, 51 themes, 18 theme clusters, and five main categories were derived. The results confirmed that the experience of university student volunteers in pediatric palliative care can be summarized as "awareness of the role of a volunteer," "difficulties encountered while volunteering," "efforts to overcome the difficulties of volunteer work," "personal reflection," and "awareness of life and death." Conclusion: The results of this study can be used as a practical guide for the effective management of volunteers in the pediatric palliative care setting.

This study is to explore the meaning and role of "Shared Universities" as perceived by college students. Currently, shared universities are being promoted as an important innovative strategy to overcome the decline in the college-age population and enhance the quality of education by sharing human and material resources among individual universities. This study aims to examine the meaning and value of "shared universities" as perceived by college students who actually participate in shared university programs from the perspective of the demand side. Specifically, the study seeks to explore what students feel and experience through shared university education in order to derive implications for future shared university operations.

The purpose of this action research project was to study the effects of incorporating coding into the middle school math classroom affected student dispositions with math and their understanding of mathematical concepts. The project, involving a total of 107 US middle school students, used five data sources to examine these effects: a survey, a chart measuring student engagement, a pre- and post-assessment before and after the coding project, and teacher observation with reflection forms. After analyzing the data, it was found that incorporating coding into the middle school math classroom could have a positive impact on student math dispositions and their understanding of math concepts.

This research is implement of a counselling cases search system for improving the effectiveness of student-counselling through internet with teachers experience which is obtained in school. This system is consisted of manager module and user module. User module can use student-counselling search and input, a bulletin board, reference data etc., and manager module offers manage function for a data and the membership. The counselling cases search system is able to improving in success probability of student-counselling. Because teacher can share easily their remote area they counselling cases through using internet.
