의류 생산업체의 신축성 소재 바지 설계에 관한 실태조사 (A Study on the Pattern Making Method of Pants Made of Stretchable Fabrics)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the inconvenience when putting on stretch pants and to compare and analyze the pattern making method of pants made of the stretch and non-stretch fabric to develop functional and good looking stretch pants. For this study, we conducted a survey of women in their twenties and collected the basic data and master pattern through material of a woman's wear brand and the interview and questionnaires. The results of this study are as follows. First, the survey result for the woman consumers showed that pants were estimated as the most uncomfortable item among the stretch clothes and when they put the stretch pants on, the most uncomfortable parts of out-shell were the hip girth and rise. Secondly, the result of pattern making method of the pants was as follows. The ease of the stretch pants pattern was 0cm in the waist girth and -1 to -1.5cm in the hip girth more than non-stretch pants. The ease in crotch, inseam and outseam length was 0cm for both.

은행나무추출액과 실리콘유연제를 처리한 침장용 텐셀 자카드 직물의 역학적 특성변화와 감성평가 (Mechanical properties and sensibility of Tencel Jacquard fabrics treated with Ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener)

  • 본 연구에서는 텐셀 자카드 직물에 은행나무 추출물(ginkgo biloba extract)과 실리콘 유연제(silicon softener)를 처리 할 때 실리콘유연제를 동시에 처리하는 방법과 은행나무추출액 처리하고 난 후에 다른 bath에서 실리콘유연제를 연속적으로 처리하는 방법 중 어느 것이 더 촉감이나 선호도에 더 영향을 주는지를 찾아내고자 하였다. 따라서 텐셀 자카드 직물에 은행나무추출액과 실리콘유연제를 처리하여 KES-FB system을 통하여 역학적 특성 및 객관적 태의 변화를 살펴보고, 침장용 직물이 가지는 개별 감각 및 종합 감각의 주관적 감성을 평가하였다. 이밖에도 침장용 직물에서 중요하게 여겨지는 소비자의 개별감각 요소를 평가하여 침장용 직물개발의 기초자료를 마련하고자 하였다. 텐셀 자카드 직물에 은행나무추출액과 실리콘유연제를 처리하게 되면 인장특성인 EM, WT, RT는 증가하여 신축성이 있고 형태안정성이 좋아지며, 인장특성 전단특성이 감소하여 유연성이 증가하고, 무게와 두께가 증가로 부피감이 커져, THV는 증가하였다. 주관적 감성 평가 결과 개별감각 중 부드러움, 따뜻함, 탄력감, 부피감은 증가하고 거침은 감소하는 것으로 평가하였다. 또한 부드러움, 부피감, 따듯함을 침장용 직물이 갖는 중요한 개별감각 요소로 평가하였다. 은행나무추출액과 실리콘유연제를 처리할 경우 촉감이 좋아지고 선호도가 높아지는 것으로 평가되었다.

디지털 X-선 시스템에서 흉부 전·후 방향 검사 시 검사복이 영상에 미치는 영향과 적정 검사복 원단의 분석 (Analysis of the Influence of Examination Gowns on the Image and the Suitable Fabrics for Chest AP Examinations on DR X-ray Systems)

  • 본 연구에서는 디지털 일반촬영 시스템에서 흉부 전·후방향 검사 시 검사복이 영상에 영향을 미치는지를 확인하고 검사복으로 사용하기에 적절한 원단을 분석하고자 하였다. 서울 소재 3차 의료기관 다섯 곳에서 사용 중인 검사복을 수집하였고 모달, 텐셀, 면, 레이온 원단을 이용하였다. 원단의 선택은 촉감, 흡수성, 신축성, 구김성이 우수한 원단으로 보고된 연구를 참고하였다. 의료기관 다섯 곳 검사복과 네 개의 원단을 1겹에서 8겹까지 겹치도록 배열한 팬텀을 제작한 후 디지털 일반촬영 시스템에서 흉부 전·후방향 조건으로 검사하였다. 검사한 영상은 1차 프로파일 분석, 2차 신호강도 평균값 분석, 3차 현미경 분석하였다. 결과적으로 총 아홉 가지 재료 모두 원단의 겹침이 증가할수록 영상에 미치는 영향이 증가하는 것을 확인하였고 1차, 2차, 3차 분석 모두에서 영상에 미치는 정도가 가장 적은 것은 모달 원단이었다. 결론적으로 디지털 장치의 해상력이 증가할수록 검사복이 영상에 미치는 영향이 증가할 것이며 이에 따라 적정 검사복 재질을 찾는 연구에 지속적인 관심이 필요하다.

텍스타일형 스트레치 센서를 이용한 스마트 축구 양말 개발 -14~15세 여중생을 중심으로- (Development of Smart Soccer Socks Using a Textile Stretch Sensor -Focused on Middle School Girls between the Ages of 14 and 15-)

  • This study aimed to produce fiber stretch sensors for smart soccer socks to prevent injuries during training. A sensor was manufactured with stretchable fabric and tested to ensure convenience during training. In order to manufacture the fiber stretch sensor, a CNT dispersion solution was applied to an e-band and elastic polyester fabric, and the performance of the sensors was evaluated by a tensile test. Performance evaluation showed that both of the tested fabrics are excellent for this purpose. Both sensors were attached to socks to create prototype wearable devices, and an experiment was conducted to determine whether a resistance change accompanying relaxation and contraction of the gastrocnemius muscle could be detected. In order to accurately evaluate performance as a sensor, the fabric was stretched 20 times at low speeds of 1 Hz and 0.5 Hz. A change in resistance due to tension was observed, with both the E-band and the stretchable poly fabric showing high sensitivity and high reproducibility. Both can be used as relaxation/contraction sensors. Smart soccer socks were made using the two materials, and an evaluation was conducted. Tensile tests were done on the smart soccer socks; the tests were done 20 times per sock, and the sensor showed a stable resistance change between 30 and 40 ohms depending on the tension of the sensor. As a result, we confirmed that smart soccer socks with stretch sensors made of E-bands can measure changes in the gastrocnemius muscle.

여대생의 국적에 따른 캐주얼 셔츠 소재의 주관적 감각과 촉감 선호도 비교 (A Comparative Study on the Subjective Sensation and Tactile Preferences for Casual Shirt Fabrics Compared by the Nationality of Female University Students)

  • 본 연구는 한국의 대학에 재학하고 있는 한국인 여대생과 중국인 여대생을 대상으로 캐주얼 셔츠 소재의 주관적인 감각과 선호도의 차이를 파악하고자 수행되었다. 춘추용 캐주얼 셔츠의 소재로 시판되는 소재 중에서 섬유조성이 상이한 7가지 종류의 흰색 셔츠 직물을 선정하였다. 캐주얼 셔츠 소재에 대한 주관적 감각 및 촉감 선호도의 평가자는 한국인 여대생과 중국인 여대생으로 40명이었다. 참가자들은 7종 소재를 관찰하고 나서 주관적인 감각과 촉감 선호도에 대한 평가를 설문지를 사용하여 작성하였다. 캐주얼 셔츠 소재의 주관적 감각을 요인분석한 결과, 평활감, 경량감, 유연감, 신축감의 4개 요인으로 분류되었다. 주관적 감각 요인은 소재의 섬유조성별 국적에 따라 부분적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 한국인 여대생은 중국인 여대생 보다 면 100% 소재를 더 가볍다고 평가하였고, 폴리에스터 50%/모달 50% 소재와 P100 소재를 더 신축성이 있다고 평가하였으나, 중국인 여대생은 폴리에스터 50%/면 45%/스판덱스 5% 소재를 더 가볍다고 평가하였다. 캐주얼 셔츠 소재의 섬유조성별 촉감 선호도는 국적에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 한국인 여대생은 중국인 여대생에 비해 면 80%/폴리에스터 20% 소재, 폴리에스터 50%/면 45%/스판덱스 5% 소재, 아마 100% 소재를 더 선호하였다. 한편, 캐주얼 셔츠 소재의 주관적 감각 요인이 촉감 선호도에 미치는 영향은 국적에 따른 차이를 보였다. 한국 여대생의 경우, 평활감과 유연감이 캐주얼 셔츠 소재의 촉감 선호도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 반면, 중국인 여대생은 평활감, 유연감, 신축감이 촉감 선호도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이처럼 캐주얼 셔츠 소재에 대한 주관적 감각 및 촉감 선호도는 한국인 여대생과 중국인 여대생간의 차이를 보였다. 따라서 여대생을 대상으로 캐주얼 셔츠 소재 기획시 이러한 감성의 차이를 반영하는 것이 필요하다.

3차원 스캔 기술과 니트 소재의 신축성을 적용한 밀착형 스포츠웨어 상의 설계 (Technical Design of Tight Upper Sportswear based on 3D Scanning Technology and Stretch Property of Knitted Fabric)

  • This research studied how to develop tight upper sportswear from 3D scan data considering fabric stretch property. Subjects were five Korean men of average figure in their 20's. Scanning was done for ten postures via vitus smart/pro(Techmath LTD). Analyzing from 3D scan data, more than 70% of the upper body surface showed surface change rate under 20%. It was shoulder and under arm side part that showed most noticeable body surface change when moving. A parametric model with convex surface was generated and flattened onto the plane, resulting 2D pattern. The error rate occurring in the process of 3D to 2D conversion was 0.2% for outline and 0.13% for area, respectively. Thirteen kinds of stretchable fabrics in the market were collected for this study. Stretch property was in the range of 16.0~58.2% for wale direction; 23.1~78.4% for course. Based on wear trial test, four fabrics were chosen for making the 1st experimental garment and finally one fabric was chosen for the 2nd one, which was developed applying 4 kinds of crosswise reduction rate on 2D pattern: 0, 5, 10, and 15%. Through wear trial test and garment pressure measurement, experimental garment applied with 10% pattern reduction rate was evaluated as most comfortable and considerable.

Investigations into the Influencing Fabric Properties Factors of the 3D Shape Evaluation of Korean Hanbok Chima

  • This study was designed to analyze the three-dimensional shapes of Hanbok Chima made with various fabrics and to clarify the relationship between fabric properties as well as the objective and subjective evaluations of the 3D shape. For 3D shape data, a dress form (9A2 (N; nude)) was scanned with eight Chima garments made with the same number of fabrics. The scanner used was a non-contact three-dimensional human body measuring system belonging to Bunka Women's University in Japan. Data concerning the objective evaluation of the 3D shape was obtained from the measurements of the vertical and horizontal sections: those for subjective evaluation were through the sensory test after exposure to photographs from a front and side view. Four fabric factors were extracted from fabric physical properties: softness, extension, thickness of threads, and weight of fabric. Such factors as expansion (volume), sag of rear train, shape of nodes were influential in explaining the 3D shape of Hanbok Chima. From the analysis of the 3D shape, it can be deduced that with the constituent fabric stiffer, lighter, and less stretchable, the more expanded the 3D shape appeared to be. Multiple regression results showed that vertical shape factors have a greater effect on the evaluation of the 3D shape. It also implies that dependent variables of this study such as the subjective evaluation and 3D shape can be derived from regression equations on independent variables as fabric property factors or 3D shape factors. These results can enable the manufacturers to predict the 3D shape of the garment as well as the human subjective assessment to improve the efficacy of production. The investigation method proposed in this study can also be applicable to other garment items.

PTT[Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)] 직물(織物)의 물리적(物理的) 특성(特性)및 주관적(主觀的) 평가(評價)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Physical Properties and Subjective Evaluation of the PTT[Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)] Fabric)

  • A new textile material, poly(trimethylene terephthalate) polymer, has been introduced to the textile industry. The structure of PTT is similar to the PET, while the tensile deformation and subsequent recovery property is better than that of PET. In this study, the physical and mechanical properties of textile woven fabrics made of PTT, PET, and nylon 6 yarns as the filling yarn were determined using the Kawabata Evaluation System (KES), including tensile, bending, shearing, compression, and surface related parameters. On top of these measurements, the subjective ratings by evaluators were performed on the fabric samples. From the examination of the stress-strain behavior of the yarn specimens focused on the recovery mode, it was evident that the PTT specimen developed lower stress at 3% elongation. The subsequent recovery curve showed that the PTT has less stress-decay rate than the other specimens, implying that the recovery behavior of the PTT is recommendable for the end-uses including stretchable textile materials, sports wears, etc. The KES bending rigidity(B) value of the PTT sample fabric was lower than that of the PET sample fabric. Subjective evaluation of the fabric samples by the evaluators on the descriptive word pair "soft - not soft" showed similar tendency with the KES B determination of the fabric samples.

Physical Property and Virtual Sewing Image of Lyocell treated with Epichlorohydrine for the fibrillation control

  • Lyocell is a regenerated cellulosic fiber manufactured by an environmentally friendly process. The major advantages of lyocell are the excellent drape forming property, the genuine bulkiness, smooth surface, and high dry/wet tenacities. However, one drawback of lyocell is its fibrillation property, which would degrade its aesthetic quality and lower the consumer satisfaction. In our previous studies, lyocell was treated with epichlorohydrin, a non-formalin based crosslinker, to reduce its fibrillation tendency. To investigate the changes of physical properties upon ECH-treatment, the hand characteristics of ECH-treated fabric were observed using KES-FB system and the 3D-virtual sewing image of the fabrics were obtained using 3D CAD simulation system in this study. Since epichlorohydrin(ECH) treatment was conducted in the alkaline medium, the weight reduction was observed in all treated lyocell. The treated lyocell became light, smooth and flexible in spite of ECH crosslinker application. LT and RT in tensile property upon the ECH treatment did not change significantly, however, EMT and WT in the tensile property increased. The significant decrease in bending rigidity was resulted in all ECH-treated lyocell, which is the result of the weight loss upon the alkali condition of ECH treatment. The bending rigidity increased again in the ECH 30% treated lyocell, however, the B value is still lower than the original. Therefore, the ECH-treated lyocell would be more stretchable and softer than the original. Shear rigidity was also decreased in all ECH-treated lyocell, which would result in more drape and body fitting when it is made as a garment. The ECH-treated fabric showed the softer smoother surface according to SMD value from KES evaluation. The virtual 3D sewing image of the ECH-treated lyocell did not show a significant change from that of the original except ECH 30% treated lyocell. ECH 30% treated lyocell showed a stiffer and more puckered image than the original.
