한국형 고속전철의 답면제동에 의한 차륜의 응력분포에 관한 연구 (A Study on Stress Distribution of Korean High Speed Train Wheel at Tread Braking)

  • The strength evaluation of a wheel is becoming very important due to the high speed of railway system and the reduction of wheel weight. Therefore, in this study, the influence of thermal stress at tread breaking in Korean High Speed Train wheel was investigated using FEM. During FEM analysis, the mechanical load or wheel-rail contract load and braking load were considered. When 300% of the block force was applied, the maximum von Mises stress of 61.0 ㎫ was found at the outside plate around 400mm far away from the wheel center.

  • With the fast growth of the shipbuilding industry, the number of lifting lugs used every year has reached onehundred. This paper is aimed at examining the cause of cracking in the hopper top plate, due to block lifting. First of all, we have investigated the fracture surface in the occurrence position of the crack of the hopper top plate, using the scanning electron microscope. In this study, we have evaluated the structural strength for COT super block under present lifting conditions. For this purpose, the equivalent stresses have been calculated by linear elastic analysis, using the finite element program ABAQUS.

엔진 실린더 헤드/블록의 유한 요소 해석 (Finite Element Analysis of Cylinder Head/Block Compound)

  • Finite element analysis of cylinder heat/block compound under assembly, thermal and firing condition were performed. FE model including two cylinders with gasket, head bolts, liners and valve seats was used. FE modeling method and boundary conditions were introduced. Stress distribution and deformation of cylinder head and block under each loading condition were presented. Gasket pressure distribution and bore distortion level were predicted. Measured data of bore distortion was compared with the analysis results. The analysis result showed similar trends with the experimental data. High cycle fatigue analysis on the basis of this result has been performed in order to find the critical areas of the engine assembly.

  • The IPSAP which is a finite element analysis program has been developed for high parallel performance computing. This program consists of various analysis modules - stress, vibration and thermal analysis module, etc. The M orthogonal block Lanczos algorithm with shiftinvert transformation is used for solving eigenvalue problems in the vibration module. And the multifrontal algorithm which is one of the most efficient direct linear equation solvers is applied to factorization and triangular system solving phases in this block Lanczos iteration routine. In this study, the performance enhancement procedures of the IPSAP are composed of the following stages: 1) communication volume minimization of the factorization phase by modifying parallel matrix subroutines. 2) idling time minimization in triangular system solving phase by partial inverse of the frontal matrix and the LCM (least common multiple) concept.

  • Among the sympathetic blocks used to treat various symptoms and diseases, including sympathetic dysfunction in pain clinics, a stellate ganglion block (SGB) is one of the easiest to apply. However, it is difficult to evaluate the effects of SGB due to the subjective nature of patient-reported data. A 26-year-old female, who presented with symptoms of coldness and sweating on both hands, received SGB 25 times on each side over a 2-month period. The effects of SGB were followed up using a cold stress test with thermography. Although the symptoms appeared again after 6 months, the recovery rate of the palmar temperature after the cold stress test improved significantly and was maintained for 18 months.

Investigation on Ultimate Strength of STS304L Stainless Steel Welded Connection with Base Metal Fracture Using Finite Element Analysis

  • Many studies on the application of stainless steels as structural materials in buildings and infra-structures have been performed thanks to superior characteristics of corrosion resistance, fire resistance and aesthetic appeal. Experimental investigation to estimate the ultimate strength and fracture mode of the fillet-welded connections of cold-formed austenitic stainless steel (STS304L) with better intergranular corrosion resistance than that of austenitic stainless steel, STS304 commonly used has carried out by authors. Specimens were fabricated to fail by base metal fracture not weld metal fracture with main variables of weld lengths according to loading direction. All specimens showed a block shear fracture mode. In this paper, finite element analysis model was developed to predict the ultimate behaviors of welded connection and its validity was verified through the comparison with test results. Since the block shear behavior of welded connection due to stress triaxiality and shear-lag effects is different from that of bolted connection, stress and strain distributions in the critical path of tensile and shear fracture section were investigated. Test and analysis strengths were compared with those by current design specifications such as AISC, EC3 and existing researcher's proposed equations. In addition, through parametric analysis with extended variables, the conditions of end distance and longitudinal weld length for block shear fracture and tensile fracture were suggested.

말뚝식과 블록식이 혼합된 시멘트혼합처리공법(DCM)의 구조체 해석 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of Structural Analysis on DCM Improved by Pile and Block Type)

  • 본 논문에서는 천층블록/심층말뚝 혼합식 시멘트혼합처리 공법을 구조체적 관점에서 해석하였고, 각 방법별 특징 및 관련 거동을 분석하였다. 연속보 해석법의 경우 침하량을 매우 작게 예측하였고, 천층블록의 전단력과 휨응력은 다소 크게 예측하였다. Frame 해석법의 경우 천층블록의 부재력과 장주의 부재력은 수치해석법과 가장 근접한 거동을 예측하였지만, 장주의 침하는 작게 예측하여, 장주 반력을 이용한 별도 침하계산을 실시해야하는 것으로 나타났다. 지반아칭법과 말뚝지지전면기초해석법의 경우 장주의 하중분담율이 타방법에 비해 매우 커서 장주의 축력이 과대 예측되었다. 천층블록/심층말뚝 혼합식 시멘트혼합처리공법을 적용하면, 천층블록의 침하 및 지반반력은 중앙에서 가장 크고, 외곽에서 가장 작았다. 또한, 개량체와 지반간의 상호작용을 고려할 수 있는 해석법에서 장주 개량체가 분담하는 하중은 약 20~45% 범위를 보였고, 응력분담비는 일반적인 말뚝식 DCM 공법보다 작은 약 2.0~5.0정도의 범위를 나타내었다. 장주 두부 경계조건에 따라 최대 부재력에서는 유사하지만, 두부 구속조건에서는 장주의 위치에 따라 축력 및 연직변위는 서로 다르게 나타났다.

고성능 철근콘크리트 보의 휨강도 및 연성능력에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Flexural Strength and Ductility Capacity of Reinforced High Performance Concrete Beams)

  • This paper is an experimental study on the flexural strength and ductility capacity of reinforced high performance concrete beams with the concrete which has compressive strength of 600~700kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$, slump value of 20~25cm and slump-flow value of 60~70cm. Total 8 beams with different tensile reinforcement ratio and pattern of loading were tested. Form the results of reinforced high performance concrete beams, the equivalent stress block parameters proposed by MacGregor et al. or New Zealand code are recommended to use. Also, an extreme fiber concrete compressive strain of reinforced high performance concrete beams are distributed 0.0033~0.0048. In reinforced high performance concrete beams, reinforcement ratio in order to insure curvature ductility index 2 and 4 propose by ACI code should be less than those of reinforced normal strength concrete beams.

항공기용 유압 펌프 부품의 동적특성 및 유한 요소 분석 (FEM Analysis and Dynamic Characteristics of Hydraulic Pump Assembly Components for Aircraft)

  • In this paper, the numerical analysis is introduced to predict the dynamic characteristics of piston pump assembly components in hydraulic piston pump for aircraft. Rotating cylinder block and reciprocating pistons are modelled kinematically. Furthermore, leakage flow and torque losses between the boundary surfaces of components are analyzed. This analysis has been carried out through the commercial CASPAR program. The simulations for stress on pump assembly components using the dynamic analysis model are performed using the ANSYS 11 program. Such dynamic characteristics and stress simulation procedures will be carried out repeatedly for the optimized design.

동적 하중을 받는 재료에서의 파단에 관한 연구 (Study on Fracture at Material under Dynamic Load)

  • This study was analyzed dynamically by finite element method about the results of experiments which materials were applied by dynamic load. And they were compared with each other as the simulation data applied onto dynamic impact velocities of 6.4, 16.7 and 18.47m/s. The crack energy release rate, von-Mises stress and the displacement according to the load applied by block were calculated numerically by computer. As the numerical simulation data of specimen analyzed in this study approached the experimental data, the inspection of this specimen model suggested in this paper could be reasonable for the numerical simulation.
