Upward Trajectory of the Accommodation Sharing Economy & Distributional Values

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to address policy preparation and amendments on regulations in accommodation sharing for resource distribution by fostering better adjustment in a society, since previous studies are rarely investigated in those issues. After conduct exploratory research about laws and regulations of accommodation sharing, this study investigates how effective policy instruments improve trust in accommodation sharing and potential growth by investigating the perceptions of individuals and by applying policymaking procedures. Research design, data and methodology: The data is collected via online survey. Structural equation modeling with confirmatory factor analysis and non-recursive model with multiple regression analysis were applied. Results: The results of this study found that among proposed policy instruments, individuals perceive local ordinances, government publicizing and campaign, trust marks, taxation, penalties, and government controls are effective to build trust in accommodation sharing. Policies geared toward the majority of the public are more effective, while governments should establish a strategic approach as to which policies are introduced in public and which role the government plays in the departments. Conclusions: The results provide policy and managerial implications how to enhance distributional values of accommodation sharing economy with proper preparations and amendments of laws and regulations.

  • This study intends to closely examine an evaluation of effectiveness of the HRM associated with interactions among employees(I), purpose recognition(P), role feedbacks(R), and motivative compensation(M). The following is a summary of the results of this research: From the study of the actual situation of the human resource management by the Korean firms, it appeared that the form of existence of vision systems possessed the form of having been written as documents and co-shared. And, although, in the area of motivation endowment and feedbacks, the level of motivation endowment regarding the comprising member by those in charge of departments and the level of reflection of the company's personnel policies in the execution of work by the departments were ordinary, the level of presenting the opinion of the departments regarding the company's personnel policies was shown to be low. And, the decisive elements of wages and the compensation standard were in the order of performance basis and long service. Also, it was analyzed that the leadership style of the CEO is the most important element that influences human resource management policies. And, it was analyzed that in the evaluation of the human resource management area the roles regarding evaluation and compensation, especially, the mutual interactions of the comprising members, feedbacks, and improvement activities are inadequate. And the managerial implications are discussed.

조직 내 빅데이터 시스템 확산에 영향을 주는 요인에 대한 연구 (Factors for the Intra-organizational Diffusion of Big Data Systems)

  • In this paper, factors affecting intra-organizational diffusion of Big Data systems from the perspective of the Big Data system vendors have been analyzed. In particular, the theory of resistance against innovation that exists in some form before the adoption or rejection of innovation has been focused on. In order to do that, the resistance has been divided into three categories : postponement, rejection and opposition. The variables affecting each type are also divided into four independent variables : perceived risk, innovation characteristics, user attributes, and organizational attributes. As a result of the survey, it was confirmed that the influences of each variable are different according to the type of resistance. As the strength of the resistance was increased, the influence of the trialability was increased as well. As the strength of the resistance was decreased, the satisfaction with the existing system became more influential on the resistance. The time risk and the satisfaction with the existing system were found to affect all types of resistance. From the vendor's point of view, strategic implications are presented in terms of marketing or system development for diffusion, depending on the degree of resistance of the adopter.

  • Due principally to the desire to seek lower production costs, the bulk of the world's textile and clothing manufacture migrated to low-cost zones, mainly outside Europe, over the course of the late-twentieth century. In the early-twenty-first century, fast fashion became a dominant force worldwide, with 'Western' retail buyers hunting cheaper deals from clothing manufacturers (mainly in Asia), and with occasional disasters not changing matters beyond the duration of a fashion season. Progressively, seams became narrower, cheaper raw materials were used and durability was no longer an aim. Why bother to do otherwise? This was what the 'Western' consumer wanted: fashion to be worn only a few times and then discarded, despite the fact that vast amounts of human, technological and financial resources were wasted in such a quest. By the end of the second decade of the twenty-first century, the production of textile and clothing products continued to contribute substantially to global warming. This paper reviews briefly the current conditions of manufacture, and argues that the research agenda should be focused on addressing the implications of a progressively changed focus, not on fast-fashion products, but instead on the production of products with greater durability. Meanwhile 'Western' consumers need to turn away from fast fashion and realise that waste is bad for their economy and their society. It is argued further, that after a period of re-adjustment, substantial financial rewards await the national textile and clothing industries that undergo such a turn around.

The Effect of Delivery Food on Customer Emotional Response and Repurchase Intention

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the service quality of delivery food on customers' emotional response and repurchase intention during the COVID19 pandemic. The proposed research model examined the effect on the service quality, customer sentiment response, and repurchase intention of delivery food. A questionnaire was distributed and measured for 300 consumers who had experience using food delivery services in the last 30 days. The questionnaires from previous researches were revised to fit the purpose of the present study. The survey results were analyzed to verify the reliability and validity of the measured variables. To verify the hypotheses a Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used for the study. The results showed that taste, price fairness, and package design positively affected emotional response; moreover, repurchase intention was enhanced by emotional response. This research analyzed the relationships between service qualities of delivery food, emotional response, and repurchase intention when customers consume delivery food during COVID19 in Korea. This study extends the delivery food literature by combining customers' emotional behavior with SEM model. The result suggested competitive strategic plans and development directions of food delivery companies in the rapidly increasing food delivery industry, providing implications for further research.

The Effects of Experience and Brand Relationship to Brand Satisfaction, Trust and Loyalty Shopping Distribution of Consumer Philips Lighting Product in Indonesia

  • Purpose: This study examines the effects of several brand variables on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology: The survey was conducted on a community with 302 city residents in Greater Jakarta as consumers of lighting products. The constructs were arranged based on several independent variables such as brand experience, brand relationships, and brand trust on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Customer satisfaction was positioned as an intervening variable to examine the effects on brand loyalty. Results: The consumer's experience determines the attitude and satisfaction at the next action. Brand experience significantly influences customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Meanwhile, a brand association related to the benefits of the product concerned so that the relationship also affects customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. However, the brand relationship does not affect brand trust. Consumers do not readily believe without experience. Conclusion: The consumer's experience significantly influences satisfaction and brand loyalty, both direct and indirect. Brand relationships affected customer satisfaction and had a direct effect on brand loyalty. Likewise, brand trust has a direct effect on brand loyalty. The findings' implications emphasize the importance of brand owners to provide positive, memorable experiences to the consumers.

How Can Healthy Meal Kits Look Attractive to Consumers?

  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze the importance of customers' selection attributes for meal kits, which is rapidly increasing in the home meal replacement food market, and empirically analyze the effect of food selection attributes on consumer satisfaction and repurchase intention toward meal kits. Research design, data, and methodology: Based on the results of previous research, factors that customers consider the most when purchasing a meal kit are nutritional components, ingredients, hygiene, taste, and price. The empirical analysis is conducted by using structural equation modeling to determine the extent that customer selection attributes for meal kits affect customer satisfaction and repurchase intention. The survey is conducted online from January 1 to March 15, 2022, and 282 valid samples are used for the analysis. Results: The result of the analysis confirms that nutritional components, hygiene, taste, and price have a statistically significant effect on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention. However, the effect of food ingredients on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention is rejected because no statistically significant results are obtained. Conclusions: As an empirical analysis of the importance of customer selection attributes of meal kits, this study has meaningful implications for related industries and business-to-business operators and provides basic data for the strategic development of related industries.

A Study on the meaning of work and job embeddedness affecting the creative behavior of organization members

  • This study attempted to confirm the factors that the meaning of work perceived by organization members and job embeddedness affects creative behavior. In addition, we tried to confirm the relationship between the meaning of work and job embeddedness. On the other hand, we tried to verify the mediating effect of job embeddedness between the meaning of work and creative behavior. Accordingly, the following results and implications were derived through the hypotheses set for the members of small and medium-sized enterprises. First, the meaning of work showed a positive effect on job embeddedness and creative behavior, and it was empirically analyzed that job embeddedness was improved on creative behavior. In order to improve the creative behavior of organizational members, the need for advancement of the management and training system to systematically improve and strengthen the meaning of work and job embeddedness has emerged. Second, job embeddedness showed a mediating effect between the meaning of work and creative behavior. In other words, the employee's job embeddedness acted as a direct or indirect factor according to the improvement of the meaning of work and creative behavior. Accordingly, as one of the major factors in human resource management and strategic human resource development for the advancement of the sustainable management system, the need for institutional establishment and implementation was required as it became more efficient and effective.

An Analysis on the Logistics Efficiency of Shanghai Port for Global Supply Chain

  • Purpose: As China experienced a crisis due to Covid-19, the global supply chain collapsed and affected the world. Therefore, it is time for a change in port operational efficiency, increasing in importance with changes in the global supply chain. This study analyzed Shanghai Port's efficiency, the world's largest port and representative hub port in Northeast Asia, by looking at the relationship between facility factors and cargo throughput to present hub port development's timely implications. Research design, data and methodology: This study applied the Charnes, Cooper, and Rhodes (CCR) and Banker, Chames, and Cooper (BCC) models of the data development analysis (DEA) to construct an analysis from the input-oriented and output-oriented perspectives. Results: As a result, Yidong Container Terminal can be considered the most optimized in facilities and operation processes. Yidong and Shengdong Container Terminal should maintain current operating levels, while Pudong Container Terminal should review facility investments. Also, Zhendong, Huong, Mingdong, and Guandong Container Terminal should be reviewed to increase cargo throughput or to adjust current input variables in the current state. Conclusions: Therefore, the utilization of the container terminal input variables should be reviewed, and the factors of inefficiency should be improved. Moreover, the strategic focus of container terminal operations should be on increasing annual cargo throughput.

A Study on the Customers' Eating Out Behaviors in Food Consumption Patterns

  • This study aims to empirically analyze the differences between groups of customers who prefer delivery food, which is rapidly growing amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and those who prefer the traditional practice of visiting offline restaurants. Based on the eating out lifestyle, participants were divided into three groups: participants who prefer food delivery, those who prefer to visit restaurants, and those who favor both. The comparison of differences between the groups was analyzed. A total of 215 questionnaires were distributed, and reliability and validity were verified with a sample of 201 copies, excluding 14 unreliable respondents. Then, a multivariate analysis of variance was used to compare the groups. The results showed that regarding offline restaurants, the group of customers who prefer to visit restaurants valued their atmosphere, while the customers who prefer delivery food valued the reputation of the restaurant. Regarding delivery-specialized restaurants, the group of customers who prefer delivery placed greater value on coupon events and payment convenience than other groups. The results revealed that the difference between the customers who prefer to visit restaurants and those who prefer delivery food was identified through empirical analysis, which provides strategic implications for catering companies and restaurant industries during COVID-19 in Korea.
